Nigeria's Super Eagles Versus Lesotho Match End In 1-1 Draw

Nigeria's Super Eagles failed to win Lesotho in a 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier on Thursday evening, November 16, 2023 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.


Motlomelo Mkhwanazi scored the first goal of the game in the 56th minute to put Lesotho on the lead.

The Super Eagles bounced back by netting in an equalizer in the 67th minute which was made possible by Femi Ajayi’s fantastic header.
The encounter ended in a 1-1 draw after full-time, with both teams sharing the spoils of the game and a point each.

Nigeria will now meet Zimbabwe in their next game on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Huye Stadium, Butare in Rwanda.

  1. I was disappointed in their performance yesterday, would have been disgraceful if the visitor won the match. I hope they'll do better on Sunday.
