Nigeria's Minister Of Labour And Employment Simon Lalong Set To Resign

Simon Lalong, the Minister of Labour and Employment, is set to resign from his ministerial position as he is set to represent the Plateau South Senatorial District in the Senate. He received his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

  1. I was shocked to see that a sitting minister intend to RESIGN in Nigeria, then I read through and realized it is because he has another appointment. It would have been a history making decision.

  2. He wasn't even doing well as a minister of Labour. So the senate where they just allocate bogus salaries and allowances to themselves in the face glaring abject poverty is a better option for him

    1. There’s no way he will make more money as a Senator. As a Minister he has a hefty budget he can embezzle. The stress is less for a Senator.
