The months-long political crisis in Ondo State may have come to a halt as President Bola Tinubu late Friday waded into the matter and elicited resolve from the opposing factions to embrace peace and maintain status quo. This was as the Deputy Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, pledged to carry all commissioners and officials along in handling the state’s affairs.
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Friday, lampooned Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, describing him as an ingrate. Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, on Friday, promised not to interfere in the administration of the state governor-elect, Usman Ododo. Bello told State House correspondents when Ododo and the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, presented their certificates of return to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, that Ododo will be left to carry his own cross.
