  3. KEEP IT SIMPLE

'Shepherds who feed you with knowledge and insight.' Jeremiah 3:15 GWT

Seeking to impress the congregation, a young seminary graduate incorporated the biggest words he could find into his Sunday morning sermon. It was a disaster! An old preacher said to him, 'Son, you spoke over their heads.' Irritated and defensive, the young seminarian said, 'Then why don't they stretch their necks?' To which the old preacher replied, 'Jesus said, "Feed my sheep," not my giraffes!'

Whether you're in a pulpit, a classroom, a board meeting or talking to someone one to one over coffee, you must decide whether your goal is to impress people - or help them. God said, 'I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.' Your aim shouldn't be merely to communicate knowledge - but understanding. The measure of a good teacher isn't what he or she knows - it's what the student learns. Making things simple is a necessary skill if you want to connect with people. To put it in the words of Albert Einstein: 'If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it enough.'

If you're serious about trying to reach people, keep these words firmly in mind: (1) Heart. To move someone, touch them on an emotional level.
    (2) Hope. By spelling out their potential and their possibilities, you will inspire them to try.
    (3) Help. Show them how to apply what you're saying in a tangible way.
    (4) Humour. By laughing at your own mistakes, you show that problems aren't unique - to someone who is struggling, that can be the best feeling in the world.

  10. Reno Omokri thanks the Court Of Appeals

I sincerely thank the Court of Appeals for once again reiterating that Lagos is NOT and can NEVER be a No Man's Land!

    Congratulations to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu!

Reno Omokri says it's unwise for LP to reject merger with PDP

It is incredibly unwise for the Labour Party to reject Waziri Atiku Abubakar's call for a merger between them and the Peoples Democratic Party. Especially after the results of the Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa elections. Execute your politics with logic and strategic thinking, not emotion and erratic mentality.

If a united opposition could not defeat the All Progressives Congress in 2019, it only follows that it will hardly pull it off in 2023 and 2027. That is just pure common sense.

In Nigeria's history, only a coalition or merger of parties has been able to take power from the colonialists, the military, or the party in power. So, learn from history or prepare to be history.

Whichever party features Peter Obi in 2027, whether as a Presidential candidate or running mate, will lose. The leaked Yes Daddy audio has finished Peter Obi's political career at the federal level forever. His religious war comments against the Muslim Ummah will not be forgotten. Core Northern Muslims are not as forgetful or have a short attention span as many Southerners.

The fact that we had three major Muslim Presidential candidates (Atiku, Tinubu, and Kwankwaso) and only one major Christian candidate (Peter Obi), yet a Muslim won, and another Muslim came second, is proof positive that Muslims have a higher population than Christians in Nigeria. I know it is not what you want to hear. However, the truth is bitter but better.

And if the Labour Party do not realise this, they will only play into the hands of the All Progressives Congress by dividing opposition votes in 2027. Trader sense is not the same as the intelligence of a leader. To succeed in politics, you must be willing to work with even those you do not like, for a goal you like.

    Oya, insult!

  14. GOD IS OUR POWERHOUSE

The strength of every true beliver is God. Your ability to remain strong in faith, steadfast and willingness to keep going is all based on God's great energy which is aborbed into your soul, through a spiritual channel specially designed by God. This energy automatically fuels and refuels you when ever you seem low.

Without Jesus, you can do nothing, but with him, you can do all things Philippians 4:13.

When a person is tired let's say an athletes, how does he or she recharges and keep wrestling, proper training before he/she begins and finally there are various short warm up exercises and energy boosters to help out. This is the same in Christian race, when you refuse to train your mind to go for the end goal, you end up giving up before you even start. While at it, how willingly are you to keep sharpening and charging your soul through reading the bible, worshiping God, listening to messages from men of God.
Interacting with God and meditating in his world. By so doing you are automatically connecting your soul to be refilled by the ever present energy in the spiritual realm, to carry you for a time being.

When ever you stop engaging, you disengage automatically, your zeal and passion goes down and before you know it, you find yourself relapsing back to wordly tunes which will destroy you.

Yoy don't know whom you serve as a Christian, because if you do, you will yearn for more of him. This God is wonderful, never ever loose your connection to God. It's ok for it to be low, or shaky for a little while, but strive to make it strong, because the devil is fighting hard to cut it off. Do not let him.

Paul has admonished us in 2tim 2:1 to be strong in the grace that is in christ Jesus.
Everyone on earth who's goal is to win this race needs this grace to succeed.

Without it, you will struggle, you might have all the money in this world, and struggle for peace of mind, sleep etc. But in Christ Jesus all these things are the least things we gain.

While you are still here on earth, solidfy your foundation in Christ. Make it a goal to win, when you fall dust out your failures off thy shoulder and keep moving till you reach your goal.

Are you still finding it hard to be strong in Christ, ask the holyspirit for help. He will breath upon you, and the desires to do Godly things will gradually overtake you.

Are you struggling to come out of the shackles of witchcraft, occult and satanic practices, Jesus is the way, give your life to him, and call upon him, he will answer you.

JESUS LOVES YOU, COME TO JESUS TODAY

    ROM 10:10
    Say this prayer of salvation

Dear lord jesus, I'm sorry for all my sins, please come into my life, i believe you died on the cross of calvary for me, and on the 3rd day you rose again, please come and be my lord and personal saviour. Please Wash away my sins and bring me into your loving light. Amen

    ✓KNOW YOURSELF PART FORTY-FOUR

    PASSION (2)

9.) Consider your role models: Identify individuals you admire and respect. What qualities or characteristics do they possess that you wish to embody in your own life.
Example What are their passions, and why do they inspire you? Analyze how their interests align with your own, as it can offer insights into your own passion.

10.) Analyze your accomplishments: Reflect on past achievements or moments when you felt proud of your work. These instances can provide insight into what motivates and drives you.
Example: You organized a successful fundraising event for a local charity and felt a great sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.

11.) Seek feedback from others: Ask friends, family, or mentors for their observations about your strengths, talents, and the activities you excel at. External perspectives can offer valuable insights.
Example: People often compliment your ability to listen attentively and provide insightful advice, suggesting that you have a talent for counseling or coaching.

12.) Follow your curiosity: Pay attention to the topics or subjects that spark your curiosity. What questions do you find yourself consistently asking? Follow these curiosities and delve deeper into them to uncover your passion.
Example: If you often wonder about the universe, space exploration, and the mysteries of astrophysics, it may indicate a passion for astronomy or cosmology.

13.) Seek inspiration from others: Look for role models or people who inspire you. Learn about their journeys and the passions they pursue. Their stories can provide insights and inspiration for your own self-discovery.
Example: If you're inspired by environmental activists like Greta Thunberg, it might point you towards a passion for environmental conservation or sustainability.

14.) Pay attention to your emotions: Notice the activities or topics that evoke strong emotions within you. What makes you feel enthusiastic, energized, or deeply fulfilled? Your emotions can be powerful indicators of your passion.
Example: If you feel a sense of fulfillment and joy when helping others and making a positive impact, it might suggest a passion for community service or social work.

15.) Listen to your intuition: Trust your gut feelings and instincts. Sometimes, your intuition can guide you towards activities or paths that resonate deeply with you.
Example: Despite external pressure to pursue a stable corporate job, your intuition tells you that your true passion lies in filmmaking.

16.) Find the intersection of multiple interests: Look for patterns or connections between different areas of interest. Sometimes, your passion lies at the intersection of multiple fields.
Example: If you are interested in both technology and healthcare, you might discover a passion for health informatics or medical device development.

    Mathew 7:7.

    Excerpts!!

"Jesus said, “For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:8). When you ask, it’s either you’re asking God or you’re making a demand on the basis of your faith."

"Imagine that you asked the Lord for your community and He gave it to you. Even though you’ve received it in your spirit, you still have to go out as an act of faith to get it. That’s what the Master did: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). As you go out and take your steps by faith, you’ll find what you’re looking for."

"Jesus used these three to teach His disciples never to give up, and that faith works."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, I'm grateful to know that all the provisions necessary for a fulfilling life and a godly existence have already been made accesible to me through Christ. Therefore, I take advantage of the open invitation to ask anything in the Name of Jesus and receive answers. Amen.

  37. The Queen's English OR the King's English: Which is Correct?

A medical-doctor friend of mine chatted ME up on WhatsApp.

He wanted to know whether the term, the Queen's English, will change now that Queen Elizabeth II has passed on.

This is how he put it:

    "Good afternoon Miss Vee,

Please, now that the Queen is dead, do we still maintain our usual Queen's English or change to King's English?"

I told him that when the reigning monarch is female, the Queen's English is the term used.

That is, the Queen’s English is used when the United Kingdom is ruled by a queen.

However, the King's English is used whenever a king is the reigning monarch.
    .........🔥🔥🔥..........

The Queen's English OR the King's English: Which is Correct?

Both of them are correct. The Queen’s English is also called the King’s English.

Characteristically, it always aims at the principle of KISS-PC. In other words, it tries to display the features of KISS-PC:
    Keep
    It
    Simple
    Straightforward
    Precise &
    Clear.

Therefore, the Queen’s/King's English is often free from technical jargon, slangy expressions, and any unnecessary euphemisms and innuendos.

The Queen’s English is also often called BBC English and Received Pronunciation.

In modern usage, it refers to Standard English (SE), that is, spoken or written English characterised by grammatical elegance, proper diction (choice and usage of words) and expressions that have mutual intelligibility.

Mutual Intelligibility is a situation in which speakers of related varieties of a language (English for example) can readily understand each other in everyday communication.

  48. ✍️- When I think of the depth of the grave and the kilos of sand that will be thrown at us, there is no need to harm one's brother;

    ✍️- When I think of the darkness that will invade the grave after it is closed, there is no need to hurt your neighbour;

    ✍️- When I think of the heat coming from the ground and the amount of water that will drown me during the rains in this tomb, I cannot make my neighbour suffer;

    ✍️- When I think that I will be alone, abandoned by everyone, I prefer to enjoy communion while I am still alive;

✍️- When I think that my relationships will be cut off by my past, I want to perfect my future.

✍️- If I could be reborn and start all over again, I would no longer make mistakes in my actions.

😇After a long meditation, I realised that everything on earth is vanity.

😇May God help us to cultivate humility and love of neighbour, because vanity only produces vanity, still; everything is vanity.

  51. Please I need help and honestly answers. I am a Nigerian schooling and studying Mbbs in a medical university in china. I don't want to give up much details because people close to me might be angry. It is the best university in its province.
So, I got admission in 2020, did I yr language in Chinese and I had to stay for the next 3 yrs taking my mbbs online classes because of COVID. 2023, restrictions were lifted and I came to China.
Now on seeing the way foreign students were taught, I'll tell you I am shocked and disappointed. Because I have friends in UI (University of Ibadan) and we discuss the syllabus and honestly, Nigeria is better. The Chinese students are taught better though. Their classes are scheduled as early as 7am but for foreigners classes start at 9:40 am making the students more lazy and complacent. The Chinese students study. I mean real study. From 7am to 9:30pm when the lecture hall closes. The foreign students except a few just sleep. I am just in shock because I just arrived a few months ago. This is my first time in a university and I still can't come to terms that it will never look as good as my secondary school 😭😭😭 where I had teachers that taught me everything. So having no one explain things to me is weird. But I am adapting.
The other day, my classmates were joking saying they know that they'll not be doctors at the end of the 6yrs. I am just shocked.
I don't gain anything in the class except a few subjects. The school just lost its license to teach in English. But the teachers still teach in the English Language. Sometimes the non fluent, teach in Chinese and we use Baidu to translate. The exams are offered in Chinese and English.
Now, if I continue at this rate, I will come out after 6yrs empty and NEVER QUALIFIED to be a doctor. The Pakistanis in my class basically do self study because they have to take the Pakistani Medical license exams. So basically while the teacher is teaching maybe Pharmacology, they're studying the First Aid textbook because they know the teaching is not quality. Except for a few subjects.
Some Teachers just read directly from the PPT. I want to take the Nigerian Medical license exam. But at this rate, there's no way I'll pass the exams.
I need advice because I am very confused. I don't know if I should continue the mbbs or change to another course that offers job opportunities in china? I pay 20,000 rmb per year which is above 3 million naira. I can't keep paying this and not gain anything. My agents didn't inform me about the quality here. The university is the top in its province. Great quality for Chinese but not great for foreigners.
Also I need advice concerning the Nigerian Medical license exam. Because the statistics show that many Foreign students don't pass this exam. I haven't yet paid this year's tuition. So I can decide my next step. Yes I know I would have lost 3yrs.
So basically should I continue the mbbs and increase my self study or change courses that offer more job opportunities in china? And what courses can I change to?
I need help and counseling as I don't want to make a mistake.
    Stella please post.

  57. The Distinguished One Good morning Thanks for the series recommendations ''The Gilded Age''...Here are my reviews: (1) Set in the 1880s in Aristocratic era of America, nice props and costumes (2) Episode 1 a.k.a Pilot episode was not engaging enough to grapple the attention of the viewer; there was no climax here and I could not understand the drift of the storyline until I got to Episode 3. (4) Sadly, they sha put 1 LGBT scene inside it could it be because Cynthia Nixon is there (just tire).

Overall, It is a good attempt and I will continue to watch it as I feel it is an onion series; you get the gist of the series by every episode...Thanks ☺

  64. Good morning my fellow bvs.
    Pls help me 🙏
I woke up this morning and my legs are swollen in the knee area. I have been feeling little pains in my leg joints for a few days now and I do take paracetamol. Yesterday I tried to kneel on the floor and arrange some fabrics but I felt a serious pain on one knee and could not kneel. My boss at the tailoring shop said it is normal for us to have knee/leg pain or neck pain, I should buy painkillers. I went to the chemist after closing and they gave me calcitab and piroxicam to take for a few days, also gave me a gel to massage. Took the drugs last night and massaged with the gel. This morning no changes. What remedy can I use pls. Also, what can I do when I want to sew in order to prevent pains? Thanks

    1. Are you a beginner, like you just start sewing? It happens to newbies, with time your body system will adjust.

Take Pain killer. Also make sure your chair is the right height, your feet must balance well, you must sit well balanced while sewing and relaxe your back every now and then.

  67. Been looking for my son's glasses since yesterday
I have scattered everywhere and still can't find it. Where he said he kept it, it's not there.

I went through a lot before I could get it from Central now this😭😭😭

Collected the glasses on Friday and glasses got missing on Wednesday.

I don't know where to check again. I don tire.

The thought of going through the whole appointment ish again is annoying.

    If only glasses could talk😭😭😭
