Justice O.A. Adeniyi made the order following an ex-parte motion filed by Emefiele.
In the motion, the ex-CBN governor was seeking his release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) pending the hearing and determination of the originating motion.
After hearing the motion, the judge ordered Emefiele’s release.
Emefiele named the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), the Executive Chairman of the EFCC, and the EFCC itself as the respondents.
The court ordered the 3rd and 4th respondents (the Executive Chairman and the EFCC) to unconditionally release Emefiele from detention forthwith. Alternatively, they are directed to produce him in court on the date fixed for the hearing of the substantive motion on notice, with the possibility of being admitted to bail by the court.
The court set the date for the hearing of the substantive motion on notice for Monday, November 6, 2023.

Hmmmm, I want to pity him but once I remember earlier this year, I just mcheww.
ReplyDeleteI can never pity this man
DeleteHe was following orders but he's the only one facing the consequences of their collective actions
ReplyDeleteExactly he was following orders but greed and power will not him be professional. Politicians actually ruin him more by hijacking the new currency, there's a bank in my town that has been dispensing new N1000 notes running to 3weeks now back to back, meaning higher power caused the naira shortage though the time frame was also short & wrong.
DeleteGovt policies are always right but the saboutours in Nigeria are extremely dangerous.
I have no pity for this man.
ReplyDeleteI no support the release mbok
ReplyDeleteHas he taste what Nigerian tasted during his arrogant moves. He was not following any order, he was the mastermind, Buhari naa rubber stamp. Wicked man!!
ReplyDeleteWhat court? Dem no dey obey court for this country except it is Tinubu. Did they obey court for Nnamdi Kanu?
ReplyDeleteGod please Since Court orders are not being obeyed in This Country Nigeria, May They never obey this One o… let them continue to disobey court rulings. Make this man stay for Detention for a while. O Lord hear my humble Prayer 🙏.
ReplyDeleteThis man that has made life miserable for sooo many families. My business that I use to do and be getting small small change to hold body, this man’s policies scattered it. Am even talking of lives lost or what? I say this man Because, even if he was following orders, he could have honorably resigned but greed and power drunkenness would not allow him think straight. You can imagine a CBN governor wanting to contest the presidency of a country without resigning from his post… Ole …. This is one of those things that would warrant a double Mtcheeeeeeeeeewwwww. Nonsense.
