My cousin and his wife of 15yrs went their separate ways recently.
The wife is into beauty business - hair dressing, makeup artist, nail technician, eye lashes installment, etc. She has a big shop with almost 10 apprentices.Dear cousin is a chronic cheat, been cheating since the early stage of their marriage, wife reported to family till she got tired and just let him be when he refused to change.
The one that broke the Camel's back, he did it recently.
According to the wife, sometime last year, she started noticing that whatever happened in her shop, her husband knows. He may tell her, "honey, why did you fight your customer today? it is not good for business" . She would ask how he knew and he would say he has a spy in the area checking on her so men don't snatch her from him, she would chuckle and feel on top of the world.
Later, people started whispering that her husband is dating one of her apprentices but she didn't know which one. There was one of them that was wayward, always dating married men, she thought it was her and started treating the girl badly. Some days the girl will show up to work looking gloomy and would beg her to forgive whatever offence she committed.
Then one day, a few weeks ago, she had a problem with her account and rushed to the bank in the afternoon, then saw her husband with one of her most loved apprentices, coming out of an eatery, laughing and holding hands. She hid and followed them secretly, traced them to the girl's house, allowed them to settle down well and then entered and caused a scene.
The girl used a stick to beat her while her husband left them and ran out. Neigbours came out and separated them.
She left the marriage the next day.
When asked why she just made up her mind to leave after all these years, she said she just realised her husband will eventually kill her and her kids. The girl in question was her favourite. She(the girl) would cook from home and bring it to the shop in a big food flask, madam would first dish out her own share, before others would take. Sometimes, she would even share the food with her kids if they are around.
The girl buys gifts for madam's kids and also visits her home regularly. So if this girl wanted to kill her or her kids, she would have done so long ago. She had been dinning with the enemy courtesy of her husband.
If you know cheating is in your DNA and you cannot change, biko carry your nonsense go very far away from where your family is. This applies to both sexes.
I have seen the major issue is that men think they can cheat unscathed. They think they can dictate the pace of the affair, telling the girl her place and that the ‘wife’ comes first.
ReplyDeleteWhen will they realise the danger posed to the wife and kids if they have an affair with the wrong one? The one that will want to elevate her position. The one that doesn’t care whose ox is gored as she desperately seeks to annex the man and especially his resources.
‘Had I known’ always comes last. Just sad the repercussions always always affect the wife and kids too. Won’t give much of a damn if repercussions were limited to the man only.

Did you read of the story of the pastor who went to the road to hitch a ride with the husband of the woman (his congregant) he was sleeping with and killed him during the journey. In order to hide his crime, he burnt the husband to ashes.
The woman was freed at the Supreme Court on legal points.
But we always present cheating as only a man's challenge.

If she wasn't cheating she would be planning her move on how to exit the union. From what I figured those are the two options always considered now.

She has refused to have more children with her philandering husband and he doesn't know why.
This is why I just shake my head when I see some male blog visitors asking a taunting question to the females - if he cheats and the woman finds out what will she do? In this time and age you are asking such a boring question. Most women married to a cheating man cheat back instead of leaving and I heard that is how some keep their sanity - those who do not want to leave the marriage at that moment for one reason or the other.
I even read it here where a guy and a lady said if they found out that their spouses are cheating they will immediate turn the marriage into an open marriage and will never divorce.

Why are women not so zealous about normalising "revenge giving" in marriage as they are (through stories, hints, and insinuations) about normalising revenge cheating?
Why is it rare to hear of men engaging in revenge cheating.
A clean man who catches his wife cheating takes action to stop the act, or punishes the wife, or seek divorce, or do all.
Only the bad is touted as worthy of reciprocation in marriage by some vocal women in the public space?
I still have to commend her for her decision because some will fire the lady and still continue in the marriage.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I have noticed is that any woman tolerating a cheat ends up leaving at the end of the day except she cheats back and stays.
Most men and some women might leave immediately while most woman leaves after some years have passed or after their kids are grown. Maybe after gathering resources, morale, or they can't contain their resentment anymore they leave. I notice some may try to look away at first but later resentment builds up when they realise it is a sickness that can't be cured so they leave.

I just wish sometimes marriage has an automatic button that rejects men and women who are not worthy of being married, whenever they make an attempt just to feel among.
That is why the law should be reviewed to permit or recognise pre-nuptial agreements.

ReplyDeleteReminds me of an incident that happened last year. Husband and wife run a business so they were interviewing female applicants. The wife came to the interview with just one express purpose in mind... To reject any girl that may be her husband's spec. The husband was using two girl's to kill one stone. While he was conducting the interview, he was also making a mental note of any girl that appeals to him.

Along the line, in the course of the interview, the husband asked to be excused saying he needed to make use of the restroom. He quickly snuck behind the building and hurriedly approached one of the interviewees that his wife had rejected. Yes. The wife rejected this particular lady because she was exactly the husbands spec. Thicc in the right places with a lot of boobs to spare.
Husband quickly collected the girls number and scheduled a meet up for that night. He was so excited about his potential catch that he didn't bother returning to the interview. The wife didn't know her husband had played a smart one on her.
It was months later the wife got to know. She raved, ranted, cried and cursed. Husband basically ignored her. The full gist is just so heart wrenching.
The woman is a shell of herself. You see her driving and her eyes are glazed and unblinking. She's always lost in thought. She says she wants to keep working on her marriage. Who am I to offer advise to a fool? She deserves her husband.

First, almost all religions limit s3x to married couples.
Second, for those of us who do not believe in religions, we have the duty to do our due diligence on whether a man or woman is married. And if we properly do, it reveals the answer. Or we have the duty to stop when in doubts or not 100% sure for the sake of the person's spouse.
