DeleteThe randy actor has turned his home into a circus and now, a young woman has to face the destruction of her reputation because of the sins Mr Okafor continued to commit against himself, his wife and his children till when his body could no longer cope.
Instead of heaping allegations without proof, this "adopted daughter" should tender her proof before people who can act on it in court instead of trying to bin what is left of Mr Okafor's body while alive since he is no longer sexy enough.
The "adopted daughter" knows that this housewife has no means of income and has to mind a home with children and other dependents that rely on the actor. She knows she got this money with the man's consent and 1 million doesn't go far settling debts, school fees, feeding, transportation to and from school, other hospital bills, home repairs and maintenance, assistance of dependent relatives etc after a man who was at the peak of his career has not worked in over a year. By the time the school fees of over ten children, nieces and nephews are paid, what is left is less than 2/3. A bag of rice, garri, semovita and fuel and servicing for gen for a few weeks for a multitude living with them or waiting for money from them and we are back to zero.
It is easy to complain from a distance about money management and quality of care instead of actually caring for a man whose organs are being eaten up by diabetes to the point he is not able to rationally think, organically balance or physically "adopt". Instead of souring the experience and discouraging those who want to help him, why not approach elders or his fellow adult children or are you not really adopted?
It's a lesson to young women: trust the work of your hands instead of looking to build paradise with a man actively looking to bring down all he has garnered by luck with all his bad behaviour.

ReplyDeleteBecause it is the reasonable thing to do. What concerns Jasmine in all of this. As a wife, no woman will be happy with an outsider being so much involved in her family affairs. Even if Jasmine were Mr. Ibu's child, she should not take control of his account like that. Where I fault the woman is with regards to the Car, if truly she requested for a Car to be bought from donations concerning her husband's health when her husband has not fully recovered then it is wrong. But Jasmine has no right to take control of the public donations.
