  1. Travelling in Nigeria, is something else!
You want to travel by air, you are charged the same amount you pay as house rent.
You want to travel by road, bad roads, fear of kidnappers and armed robbers will make you think twice.
You want to travel by sea, the fear of Mami water and her husband, Papi water, will make you back off....
You say ok, let me use train. Bandits will frustrate your journey....
How pesin wan take travel na? 😔🥺

    2. It is well in this country.

Infact our past leaders have so disappointed this country, our generation and the constitution to its highest level. This is no more worthy to be called a country in any way. Grand corruption is the order of the day. Politics is the latest ritual money cos they loot without conscience, not minding the fact that the youths they loot away their future today will never allow their children who they are prepping to take over governance from them to have any future. Las las this country go restart

  2. A Fresh Kind Of A New Breed!!
    2 Corinthians 5:17.

    Excerpts!!

"If any man be in Christ, he is a new species of being!” This isn’t just referring to a new life that’s just begun, but also refers to newness in type. This means the one who’s born again is a new type of man, a new species."

"This new life is higher in quality than the human life because it’s eternal life. This new type of man isn’t subject to Satan, neither does he need deliverance from any oppression. He can’t be oppressed! This world hasn’t seen our type before. That’s why they can’t figure out who we really are."

"We’re partakers of the divine nature—comrades of the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4); born of God, born with eternal life, to rule and reign in this life. Brace up to this truth and walk in this consciousness."

    Confession!!

I'm a new creature; I have a special kind of life - different in type and quality from the human, animal, or plant life; it is the God-life! I live above the devil and his cohorts and above the rudiments of this world. I'm born of God, born with eternal life, to rule and reign in this life! Glory to God!

    ✓KNOW YOURSELF PART TWENTY TWO

    Healing Emotional Wounds:

a.) Therapeutic Interventions: Seeking professional help from therapists or counselors trained in trauma and emotional healing can provide valuable support. Therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can help individuals process and heal from emotional wounds.

B.) Self-Care and Emotional Regulation: Engaging in self-care practices, such as exercise, adequate sleep, healthy nutrition, and relaxation techniques, can support emotional healing. Learning emotional regulation skills, such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness, or journaling, can help individuals manage and express their emotions in healthy ways.

C.) Building Healthy Relationships: Cultivating healthy and supportive relationships is crucial for emotional healing. Surrounding oneself with trustworthy and empathetic individuals who provide validation, understanding, and a safe space for expression can promote healing and growth.

D.) Processing and Expressing Emotions: Allowing oneself to acknowledge and express emotions is an important part of healing emotional wounds. This can be done through talking to a trusted friend, journaling, engaging in creative outlets, or participating in support groups where individuals with similar experiences can share and validate their emotions.

E.) Forgiveness and Letting Go: Forgiveness, both of oneself and others, can be a powerful step in the healing process. It involves releasing resentment, anger, and blame, and freeing oneself from the emotional burden associated with the wounds. Forgiveness does not mean condoning or forgetting the actions, but rather choosing to let go of the negative emotions that hold one back.

  7. OVERCOME YOUR FEARS

'Fear not, for I am with you.' Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

The first lady to win a Nobel Prize was French physicist Madame Marie Curie. She said, 'Nothing in life is to be feared, only understood.'

    So:
    (1) Get the facts about what you fear to take away the mystery and misinformation from it.
    (2) Instead of focusing on your phobia, focus on God's promises: 'Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with my righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation]' (Isaiah 41:10 AMP). Note the words 'I will strengthen you'. As your faith in God grows stronger, the threat of your fears will grow weaker.
    (3) Relax. Imagine yourself peaceful and free of the bondage of fear. Envision the positive effect on your life when you are delivered.
    (4) Confront each one of your fear-triggering circumstances with baby steps. Every single hurdle you conquer strengthens you.

So, commit yourself to overcoming the fears that have wreaked havoc on your peace of mind. Jesus said, 'My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid' (John 14:27 NKJV). Note the words 'let not'. Don't let fear rule you! Become proactive and arm yourself with the promises of God. Run towards your fears as David ran towards Goliath, knowing that in the name of the Lord you will win.

  25. In Standard English, there's nothing like 'Burn the midnight CANDLE'.

    This is a long read.
    #StayWithME🙏
    ……….
I was conducting a Speaking Test in PH City, Rivers State Nigeria, last year

In answering a question I asked, 3 different examinees used this expression:

    "I'm burning the midnight candle."

NB: Examinee /ɪɡzamɪˈniː/ means anyone who's taking an examination or test. He/She is also known as (ie, aka) a testee.

Burning the midnight candle is a grammar lie.

    And I'll tell you why.

By grammar lie, I mean any grammatical error in English which we (ESL users) routinely commit, oftentimes without even knowing that they are downright errors.

You know, ESL means English as a Second Language.

In Standard English, there's nothing like 'Burn the midnight CANDLE'.

    The standard expression is
    'Burn the midnight OIL'.

    Oil, not candle.

To burn the midnight OIL means to work late into the night.

If you burn the midnight OIL, it means that you're staying up very late in order to study or surf the internet or do some other work.

A related idiom that contains the word, candle, is:

Burn the candle at both ends.

This👆 means to work (online or offline), or surf the net, and do some odd jobs from early in the morning until late at night and so get very little rest.

NB: Odd jobs are small jobs of different types, especially those that involve repairing or cleaning things.

In other words, if you burn the candle at both ends, you try to do too many things in a day so that you have to stay up very late at night and get up very early in the morning to get those things done.

That is, you're working so hard that you do not get enough sleep because you go to bed late and get up early to continue working.

This is especially true of workaholics.

Burning the candle at both ends often leads to burnout, the feeling of always being tired because you have been working too hard.

Burnout is often referred to as a state of psychological, physical, and mental exhaustion.

It could lead to depression and death.

Two years ago, I suffered severe burnout in my workplace.

The burnout weakened my immune system making me vulnerable to common ailments such as malaria, colds and typhoid.

I was constantly in and out of Military Hospital, Port Harcourt.

At a point, my doctor and friend looked at the series of tests I'd run and said in undisguised anger:

"Medication will be useless. I'm not giving you any prescription today.

Go home and rest or I'll place you on compulsory bedrest right here in this hospital!"

Imagine my doctor threatening me (a whole ME!)
    *wide toothy smile 😀🤣

I had to take a Leave of Absence from my workplace.

Severe burnout was one of the reasons I took the leave.

"And on the seventh day God finished His work which He had done, and He rested" (Genesis 2:2).

    What's the main point here?

The Almighty God WORKED and RESTED.

And taught us a powerful, enduring lesson that:

    Vickie should work.
She should also catch some rest.

Yes, Vickie should burn the midnight OIL.

However, she should take heed NOT to burn the CANDLE at both ends.

"And on the seventh day God finished His work which He had done, and He rested" (Genesis 2:2).

Am I preaching to someone today?
    ..........

    @everyone
    Hey family! ❤️✌🏾

I'll help you to master how to minimise your errors and go on to use English FLUENTLY and FEARLESSLY!

  27. Reno Omokri still on how the value of Naira can be improved upon

The most important thing that you as a citizen can do to improve the value of the Naira immediately is to remove the MTN and Airtel SIM card from your phone, throw it away, and replace it with a Glo SIM. One hundred thirty million Nigerians use these foreign networks and leak out twenty million dollars daily to South Africa and India.

That is not a problem if $20,000,000 returns to Nigeria from India and South Africa by way of reciprocal trade. But it is not. We have Glo. Patronise them. The more you do, the more both the Naira and Glo will get better. Even if you must insult me for this idea, insult me with Glo data, not MTN or Airtel.

Reno Omokri on Peter Obi's case

The reason Peter Obi attacked the integrity of our judiciary earlier today is because he has seen the handwriting on the wall. The comments by Justice Okoro and his colleagues have shown that they have not been intimidated by the cyberbullies Mr Obi has rallied to himself. #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary failed to bully their lordships, and Mr Obi has resorted to these feeble attempts to muddy the waters.

Peter Obi will lose, and his appeal will be dismissed. Coup baiting by warning that Nigerian democracy will be under threat if "the transparency of judiciary operatives is uncertain" is such a selfish thing to do.

Must Peter Obi burn the country down because he lost an election that even his home state Governor publicly told him he had no chance of winning despite jumping from church to church asking Christians to "take back your country" as if Nigeria belongs only to adherents of one religion,

Peter Obi's attempt at Yes Daddily instigating "religious war" in Nigeria failed, and his attempt to subtly provoke a military takeover will also end in frustration. Democracy is not threatened, and there will not be a coup in Nigeria over Peter Obi's appeal at the Supreme Court, should it be dismissed.

If Peter Obi has evidence that our judiciary is corrupt, let him boldly publish it, or forever remain silent and stop trying to set Nigerians against the bench.

There are BVs who comes, collect giveaway and disappear. They will only show face during the next give away. Go annonmous go curse anyone who feels otherwise. It's SDK's blog. She decides what happens. It has been a trend that anyday a giveaway is announced. The comment section will multiply. Where are those comments coming from?. Where have those people been. There will always be someone who can't see your worth. Don't let it be you. You determine your self-worth and If you want to improve your self-worth, stop giving other people the calculator. Inhale confidence, exhale doubt. Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion. 💯💯💯

I celebrate all women on here. Happy Women Crush Wednesday to us all. May we always be happy 😊.

    Y'all have a great day ahead 😘

° If I have to choose between loving and breathing you, I would use my last breath to tell you I love you ♥️

° My heart is and always will be yours.....Jane Austen

° I may not be the first woman in your life, but I want to be the last woman you ever loved......Helen's diary 😘🤩

° Your absence makes my heart miserable, I miss you without reason....more than words can convey, I feel you in my heartbeat....I may explode if I don't see you soon..... Helen's diary.

° you have no idea how hard I have to force myself to stop thinking about you....nights are lonely.....nobody knows it, but me.... everyday feels like forever with waiting 😉

  36. Good morning bvs.
Please, how do I get to this address from Ikotun; 11th road, 3rd Avenue, Gowon estate, ipaja?
    It is a church address.
    Thank you.

    1. Gowon estate is not far from iyana ipaja bus stop. Take a bus going to iyana ipaja, tell the driver you are going to gowon estate. They will drop you at their gate.

    2. From ikotun tell the drivers you re coming to iyana Ipaja once ,you drop tell these Keke driver or okada that you re coming to
going gate ,tell them Gowon estate okada pple will take you there , just ask once you re in Lagos and you ask you can never get lost

    3. From ikotun, enter egbeda bus.
When you stop at egbeda, cross to your right, then walk towards the market in your front, when you get there, you'll see bikes and keke, tell them where you're going..

Or you can even get bike immediately you cross sef, you can ask one of those market people when you stop at egbeda if you're still confused on directions.. but it's very easy tho, if you follow my route..

Another route, stop at okunola buss top, it's the busstop before egbeda, cross the road, you'll see bikes on the junction, tell them where you're going.. QED

That's 3rd avenue 11th road is every easy to get

  42. It is a great privilege to wake up this morning, healthy.
I remember years back, one of my childhood friend's dad woke up and couldn't see anymore. He slept with his two eyes working fine, woke up and couldn't see again. I wept with my friend. He lost his job when all the treatments they gave him failed to work. We later moved out of that town, I lost contact with her.

    1. I know someone the same thing happened to. A Specialist at the general hospital was injecting her with steroids and all manner of stuff. The specialist even said it wasn't possible for her to have ever seen. Can you imagine the nonsense? Someone is telling you she had her vision for 20+ years and woke up one morning unable to see and you are telling her it wasn't possible. That should have been her cue to leave and go to another optometrist.
Last last, God used an elderly pharmacist in one corner medicine store who recommended a drug with Vitamin A and D that was orally ingested and an eye drop. Last we spoke, it seems the Vit A and D drug is now very difficult to find in Nigeria but still available in the states. Her sight has since been restored as this happened over 9 years ago but she buys the drug whenever she can find it and keeps taking it since it's like a multivit.

  55. No matter how peaceful a house is, light must cause fight. Our once peaceful house was boiling this morning because of light matter.
This tenant uses A/C so he tapped the light from the pole in order to save some units on his prepaid meter.
NEPA people came and discovered it, they now cut our light from the pole, the whole building was thrown into darkness since two days now. The tenant that caused the wahala refused to pay 50% of the fine cos we agreed to help pay 50% while he pays 50%. Fine is 50k.
This morning when he wanted to leave for work, other tenants gathered and held him, that he should bring his own 25k so that we will fix the light. He started saying that one of us went and told NEPA about the light he tapped that was why they cut it, he asked that how did NEPA know that they tapped light in our house? They lashed out at him that he should leave accusations and bring money.
Omo, come and see fight, blows started flying.
Lastly, they called Police. He is in custody now, they locked him up for tapping light and also for fighting. He will spend that money in the police station now.

    1. Light causes fight everywhere, as long as there are more than one families living in a house.
Our own, there are two tenants that refuse to allow us use their own light to pump water when it is their turn. We all use prepaid metres , so we rotate it and use each person's own to pump water. These two apari men will be playing smart.
