This is the act of giving back something that has been lost or stolen.
Back in the days when you were still in secondary or primary school, the quote lost but found is very popular among students. You happen to find a lost pen, textbook calculator etc, after declaring it lost yet no one came forth to pick it up, you then decide to start using it.
U borrow money from a friend, bank, app, colleague, even your sibling or spouse etc. you refuse to pay, even when you have the money to clear up your debts this s a sinful practice before God which will lead you to hell.
Beloved abstain from all forms of sin, God has not lowered his standard nor has he modernised his principles, he is still the same God yesterday, today and forever.
That sin you consider nothing is a big issue in his sight, even if you borrow plate from your neighbor or friend, for the fact you borrowed it, you must return it, even if it is matches, maggi cube etc, return it.
Honey please borrow me 5k i will pay you back by next week, 2yrs later you have still not payed back, and you call it nothing. You must restitute or in the area where you don't have the means or the person is no longer within your reach, kindly go to God in prayer and ask for forgiveness, in a case whereby you have the money to pay back but the person cannot be located, please take that same amount and sow it as a seed before God.
Restitution is a good Christian practice, don't be ashamed of it, return that which you have taken by crook or honest means if not you are at the risk of hell
Some spouse tamper with each other's money without permission or prior information, this is also a sin. Always inform your husband or wife that you took so so so amout of money from his pocket or her bag. You are not supposed to lie or be deceptive about it.
Be honest in all your dealings child of God. Live for Jesus, desire to do right always.

Do you ask, 'Why is it taking me so long to improve? I am still struggling with many of my weaknesses.' Why? Because spiritual growth, like natural growth, takes some time. The best fruit ripens gradually. Jesus said, 'Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds' (John 12:24 NIV). When Jesus says, 'Very truly,' he means, 'Now understand this! Listen! This is very important.' The point Jesus stresses here is that just like a grain of wheat has to die to produce fruit, so we also must die to ourselves to produce spiritual growth. And dying to our own self-absorption takes a while. Our inclination is to unearth the seed periodically to monitor its progress instead of trusting God to perform his work in our lives.
Christ will produce fruit in our lives if we stay in him. Jesus said, 'Abide in me' (John 15:4 KJV). The word 'abide' means 'to live in'. Abiding in Christ means staying in contact with him, depending on him, living for him and trusting him to finish his work in our lives in his perfect timing. Wait for God's promised harvest and, in the meantime, delight in his presence in your life. God is happy with you at every phase of your spiritual growth. He is not waiting until you're perfect to begin loving you. He will never love you one drop more than he already does.

I went there at closing hour, straight to the staff room to confront the teacher. She denied it. I saw a small phone on her table and I told her to open it cos I put a mark on my son's battery. She said she was not the owner of the phone. I just grabbed the phone and opened it, Lo and behold the mark I put using a needle to write my son's initials was there. I matched to the principal's office to report. The man was begging me. He also said I should ensure that my son doesn't bring any contraband to school again,that his disobedience caused everything that is happening now. I now asked him "so that was why your staff stole? You people are now Nigerian police that steal from citizens when they commit an offence? Police will arrest someone and extort money from the person, other times they steal money, phones and other valuables from offenders, o ma se o"
After all the teachers gathered to beg, I told them to produce the owner of the small phone if not I am taking their case to the public , they said it was for the same teacher. She too was begging. I took the battery, returned her rubbish to her and left.
Such a disgrace to the school. I hope they suspended her. Teacher isonu.

There was this cold room where I buy my frozen foods. I have been going there for close to six months so I was already a customer. She turned to me and asked, "how is your partner and your children?" In my mind, I thought to myself, "when did I discuss my private life with this woman?" I smiled and that was the day I stopped buying things from her.

DeleteThe day I got an award for something huge, my friend didn't congratulate me and he was instantly moody. He stylishly belittled the plaque I got. Though he acted like he was miffed with the organisers who gave me just a plaque and nothing else but I knew he was indirectly throwing jabs at me and trying to tell me the plaque had no value and that was the only thing given ro me so I needed to stop being ecstatic. He was quiet till we went out separate ways and when I spoke to me, he only gave one liner responses. He was someone who always showed concern when I was beat down so when I was up I thought he would be happy for me.

ReplyDeleteAny differences?
The verbs speak and talk both generally mean ‘say words’, that is, 'say something'.
But, there are some small differences in how they are used.
Compare👇
I need to speak to you.
And
I need to talk to you.
Speak is more formal than talk.
I NEED TO SPEAK TO YOU
You use "I need to SPEAK to you" in a variety of situations.
It is possible that:
– the speaker does not know you very well.
– this is in a formal setting, such as work.
– what the person has to say is important/serious.
I NEED TO TALK TO YOU
"I need to TALK to you" is informal.
It is possible that:
– the speaker is your friend.
– the speaker is someone you don’t know very well, but what they have to say is informal.
We usually use 'speak' for more formal presentations and lectures, and 'talk' for more informal ones.
For example 👇
1 Dr Graham Foster will speak about the history of the region.
2 Kyle is going to talk us through the benefits of the software and then Liz will talk about the marketing plan.
When we refer to languages, we use 'speak'.
For example:
1 How many languages do you speak?
👉Not: How many languages do you talk?
2 I wish I could speak Italian.
👉Not: I wish I could talk Italian.
'Speak' usually only focuses on the person who is producing the words.
For example:
He spoke about the importance of taking exercise and having a good diet.
'Talk' focuses on a speaker and at least one listener, and can mean ‘have a conversation’.
For example:
I hope I can meet you to talk about my plans for the company.
Not: I hope I can meet you to speak about my plans …
Compare 1 & 2 below:
He always looks down when he is speaking.
&
I was talking to Maria yesterday.
📌He always looks down when he is speaking.
The focus in the sentence above is on the use of voice to produce words. Thus, 'speak' focuses only on the person who is producing the words.
📌I was talking to Maria yesterday.
The focus here is on the use of words as part of a conversation with someone else.
Finally, we use SPEAK on the telephone:
A: Is Rita there?
B: Who’s SPEAKING?
Not: Who’s talking?
A: Hello! Can I SPEAK to Laura, please?
B: Sorry, you can't SPEAK to her at the moment. She's in a meeting.
