PINKYS CORNER

Such is Life
The recent phone issued that happened to me ehn, made me became a friend to someone. I met him at the station when I was locked up for a few hours. I met him in the cell and we got talking. You know how e dey be some times. When the cell door was opened , I entered and met about 5 to 6 people in there. I didn't bother to act like omo mummy. I greeted them all and I began to make funny comments like "cell is made for human and not animals" "I don come school come learn". Not because I was happy with my situation then but because I want to capture their heart make I no go dey receive unverified slap.

After several jokes, I introduced myself by myself with respect ni ooo but I noticed one out of the men there wasn't laughing. He was so bitter and looked so sad. I walked up to him because I noticed he is a Yoruba man due to his tribal marks. Ema binu sir, se ko si sir? he didn't even answer me. After a while I engaged him again then he began to speak. He said, life is unfair, I was like how do you mean sir? He said, he is here as a result of his friends action.

How sir? He said, he assisted one of his friend who has accommodation issue. This person is a married man and stays in a 3bedroom flat. He said he spoke with his wife and they agreed to accommodate him for a while and not only that, they were the ones responsible for his feeding too.

They accommodated him based on the fact that, he will gather up and get an apartment within the time frame(6months). The man said, his friend told him he is into marketing or so but later, he got a job at a place and he needed a guarantor. He said and I quote " I signed the document as a guarantor just because I believe he needs to change his job for better opportunity and after two weeks, they came to the address I supplied(which is his house) to confirm and also brought another document for him to sign which I did". He said if his wife was around then, she wouldn't have allowed him to stand as a guarantor because his wife frowns at such things because she works in one of the micro-finance bank here in Ibadan.

He said, three weeks ago, he got a call from the firm asking him why his friend his not at work and alot of questions which he doesn't even know how to answer and at that time, his friend was not around because he had told him a day before that he will be traveling. He said he asked him to where and for what? his friend replied saying " the firm he works with sent him and one other staff to Osogbo and they will be there for two days or so".

He said he never knew his friend has done something wrong and has decided to run away without even thinking about him who signed for him. He said ,he was even trying to call him but his line wasn't going through. He tried for over three days and the line was switched off. After a week, the firm came to arrest him.. It was when he got to the station he was told the exact thing he did. What was it sir? I asked.

He was told that, his friend took customers money and fled with it. The customers are waiting for goods and they didn't get it neither did he remitted those money to the necessary officers in the firm. , the heart of man is so wicked. The friend left with roughly 600k. Then I asked him what is his next step now and what he is he trying to do? He said he has involved his family and they will bail him based on the discussion with the firm and they are also trying their best to track the his friend down.

He was seriously crying when he was narrating all these to me and then I realized that, at some point, tears can be so contagious . I never knew when I began to cry ooooo. I swear because I forgot about what brought me there and began to feel for him. I tried my best to encourage him and I also told him what brought me there too. After some time, I demanded for his line, not because I have anything to do to his case but because I just wanted to be a friend. He dictated his line and I made sure I memorized in order not to forget. Not long, an officer came to take me out of the cell. The rest na history shaaa.

I called the line yesterday and he was the one who picked the call. He said they   reached an agreement and all is well with him. Now, the reason for making a friend in that cell is to learn good lesson from people. Don't pray to experience that cell issue, then you will understand that, there are lot of things you do ignorantly that can lead you to jail. We do them with love, we do them with pure heart but we never knew that, there are laws guiding such act. Na when person reach station person go know say everything get law and maxims.
Ire ooooo

You see peron for prison you dey ask am say ''Se kosi sir?'' Hahahahahahahahhaahhahahahahahah

GIST

Two families are at each other's throat, trying to kpuf each other for something wey no make sense, something wey simple truth, I am sorry for solve, sometimes greed and hunger for evil makes some people do the worse.

Caroline moved into this beautiful newly built apartment and met her co-tenants but one of them took interest in her (Mama Favour) , they soon became friends, very close friends ooo, Caroline would gist her about her life before marriage, how they live, her pain, fears, joy but would hardly hear anything about Mama favour and her family, except we need this and that.

She told her so much about other tenants to the extent that Caroline already knows their lineage history without meeting them, they visit the market, salon, church together:
Mama Favour practically feeds from the palms of Caroline and her family and the only thing she brings to the table is hot gossip.

To Caroline, everyone in the compound are bad except Mama Favour, Mama Favour has this kind of long mouth that is so suitable for gossip.

So one day, Caro met a woman that sells outside their compound who told her to beware of Mama Favour, that the woman is worse than a viper and has a special way of spoiling people behind their back.

She told her that Mama Favour calls her a fool behind her back and said she doesn't know what to do with her husband's money and that she will continue collecting things, until they start begging for food since Caroline is showing off her husband's wealth, that she only knows how to spend her husband money but can't give him a child because she told her (Mama Favour) that she destroyed her womb in her school days .

She would borrow wares and refuse to bring it back and if she asks for it, Mama Favour will tell her "Ah wetin you wan use am do, you pass am naa, you wey clothes, shoes and jewelleries full your house", the woman will forget about that one and tomorrow she will still come for another one.

She ignored that first warning, though she didn't confront Mama Favour about the things she heard, she kept it to herself, another person still called her to desist from Mama Favour if she still wants to stay married to her husband.

After the second warning, she decided to heed to the warnings, she stopped visiting but Mama Favour would still visit her to borrow one or two things.

Last week, Caro's husband left his designers wrist watch and gold chain on his dressing-table in their bedroom, the items grew legs and vanished.

Someone said they saw Emmanuel, Favour's senior brother coming out of Caroline's flat (shinning eyes like thief-man torch). Caro only rushed out to buy something but was held back and engaged in a talk with Mama Favour, she was asking her why she stopped being close to her, if she heard anything, Caro said no and managed to sneak out of her grip but by the time she got home, something bad don happen.

Caro went to Mama Favour and told her to please ask her son if he mistakenly took something out of her house, that someone told her that they saw him sneaking out of her flat, she flared up immediately and landed very hot dirty slaps on Caroline's face, told her she must be very stupid to accuse her son of stealing, they fought, Mama Favour and her ever-ready to fight children gave this young lady the beating of her life.

She called her barren, told her that she will never have a child of her own for calling her dear son a thief, Caro went to the police, arrested them including their father, they bailed themselves and when they came back , the wahala come enter promax.

This thing started on Saturday, as they got back, they met some fetish stuffs at their doorstep plus an invitation letter from Okija shrine to come and swear that they didn't see the items, the wife dragged down the things, threw them away and called it rubbish.

It was in the night that Emmanuel called his father and told him that he actually stole the items but it was his mom that sent him to steal them . he said he is scared and his conscience won't let him be, and he had sold the items and gave the big part of the money to his mom,.

it was at that moment that the man knew he was in for it, he pounced on the wife but she blamed it on the devil, long story cut short, I saw a crowd gathered in that compound today, I went in, lo and behold, it was our egbeweja, the almighty Mama Favour, her husband and children wailing and begging.

The couple may forgive them, that i know but they must reach Okija to settle the ish, else people go start to de kpai carelessly for that family.

Everyone is not your friend, becareful who you bring close to you, no be everybody suppose know you or know where you de lay head, keep somethings about yourself private, some people are close to you because of what they can enjoy from you and once that thing stops flowing, the loyalty ends.... the world is indeed a wicked place.... una doh

THE EAGLE AND THE CROW

The only bird that will peck at an Eagle is the crow. He sits on his back and bites his neck. The eagle does not respond or fight with the crow, it doesn't waste time or energy on the crow. It simply opens its wings and begins to rise higher in the sky. The higher the flight the harder it is for the crow to breathe and then the crow falls due to lack of oxygen.

MORAL: Stop wasting your time with the crows. Just take them to your heights and they'll fade.

  3. OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

    DATE: THURSDAY OCTOBER 26TH 2023

TOPIC: NO ROOM FOR LAZINESS 2

    MEMORISE:
"But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work." - (John 5:17)

    READ: HEBREWS 4:8-11 (KJV)

8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

    MESSAGE:
Some people take the work of Christ as an excuse for being lazy. They think that because of God's many Promises, they can relax and not work. That is a big lie. Even Paul - the Apostle of grace, worked (1 Corinthians 4:12).

Anointed as he was, he laboured with his own hands. Students who refuse to study but say: "It is written; the Holy Spirit will remind us" should note that He would only remind them of what they have studied. If you don't study, what would He remind you of? The youths in our Churches and nations must stop looking for quick money and work diligently. You have the internet and many things that have made your work easier. Those who work hard never beg. They become strong, wealthy and very great. Don't spend all your time on social media or watching television. The people you are watching are working hard to make something of themselves.

Many years ago, I was in my uncle's house on a visit from school. One day, there were masquerades outside the house, and everyone watched and cheered them while I was studying inside. He came to me and said, "Won't you go and see the masquerades?" I responded with a Yoruba proverb translated, "The person who will be watched does not go around watching people". My uncle reminded me of that day recently because now, I am being watched. If you want to be great, you cannot be spending countless hours watching videos on social media. Get out there and work. Some people only pray and fast and then complain when things don't get better for them. Praying and fasting are not the keys to success; they can only enhance your efforts. If you put in no effort, then what will it enhance? One million multiplied by zero is equal to zero.

One of my sons says that you must pray like you will not work and work like you will not pray. As prayerful as I am, even at my age, I wake up before the sun is up every morning to work. I don't say because I prayed for six hours last night, then I should sleep all morning today; that is not how I got to where I am now. Believe me honestly, if you are lazy, God will not use you. He needs diligent people; that is why Hebrews 11:6 says He only rewards those who diligently seek Him.

    KEY POINT:
Work hard today so you would not be a slave to others tomorrow.

  16. Last week on my way to pick my daughter from school the bike man that carried me was asking of the standard of her school, I replied that I really don’t know that she’s just 3 and she’s still not talking properly, he was trying to convince me that it was a waste of money to put her in school at that age. Next he was talking about his own children that he usually enrolls them in school from 5 years and how they usually perform very well, he said his second born wants to be a lawyer and is go good at debating but that he never encourages him, he tells the boy that he’s not doing well, that his mates are better than him and when I asked him why he said it’s because he doesn’t want the boy to be relaxed and lazy, I was trying to tell him that negative comments won’t do any good to his son but he still insisted that his way is best.
I’m surprised that some people still have such mindset in this modern times. I pray the boy doesn’t suffer from low self esteem later on.

It's not crispy! You better believe that's why this girl almost gave me heart attack, the look I gave her ehn... This their own Gen A e be like say we go need to collect Vaccine to survive them.

  36. Friends let's be prepared for the coming of Christ which is closer.let.us try to live in peace with all men and mostly love all men even those who tag us as enemies. The signs Jesus gave in the bible for men to know when the end time is close, we are all experiencing it in the world today.e.g Famine, War between nations, earthquakes, persecution of christians e.t.c.
Some people may still doubt the coming of Christ and wonder the existence of heaven and hell.
Have you ever lost a love one or a friend?then you ask your self, where have their souls gone to? pls don't be carried away by the pleasure of this empty and wicked world.let us live everyday making sure we live life according to the way our saviour instructed us all.

Yes they're so many things that're guided by law's, the little things we take for granted becomes what that later hunt us in life.lesson learnt going forward, we need to be very careful how we allow people more into our lives, assisting one shouldn't be a problem but we need to be extra careful when it comes to the area of standing for a particular person as regards a job.
