  1. When my grandad died a few years ago, the way my dad and uncles cried at the funeral, made me realize no matter how old anyone is, death is NEVER pleasant. As his grandkids, we were indifferent. The man was very old. But for our parents, he was their father! Death is an earthly separation that nobody wants at all..😒
My heart goes out to BV Fidel, and anyone else on this blog, who's mourning the loss of a loved one right now. I pray for God's comfort and peace. It is well!
May God preserve our lives, in the hollow of His hands..πŸ™..

  3. Heavenly father, thank you for another celebration of this glorious union.
Thank you for showing us abundant mercy for 26 years of staying together.
Abba father,as we grow older together, I pray that our love grows stronger and our hearts grow closer in Jesus name πŸ™
We have survived many challenges together and we have passed the test of time.
As we celebrate our wedding anniversary today, we shut out every negative voice and thought against us. Only the will and counsel of the Lord shall stand. By divine mercy and power, we shall live out the purpose of this great marriage in Jesus πŸ™πŸ™ Amen.

  7. Reno Omokri makes a case for PBAT

How can you judge a President as being a catastrophe when he has only been in office for less than six months? Though I believe Waziri Atiku would have been a better candidate, nobody could be expected to fix Nigeria four months after President Buhari's eight years of ruination. Peter Obi did not fix Anambra in 8 years. Yet, Obidients are accusing Tinubu of being a failure after four months?

Even if you sleep with your wife today, and score a goal, she cannot have a baby in four months, except you want a still birth. Yet, you want Tinubu to give you in four months what Buhari could not give you in eight years? And you are claiming Peter Obi would have fixed Nigeria by now? The same Obi that lost his phone in court and was panicking, and Datti and co had to start calming him down in front of cameras? That is the man you expected to deal with Niger Republic crisis?

The truth is that Tinubu has not failed. But you want Tinubu to fail. That is why you have formed a very powerful bullying clique on social media to bully anybody who says positive things about Nigeria. The person wants an appointment from Tinubu. He has collected bribes. He is an anakogheri, onye iberibe, mugu, mumu.

The Naira has not collapsed because of Tinubu's bad governance. The Naira is at its natural level because it is being floated for the first time in forty years. Which means market forces are dictating its value. Do you want it to rise? Get rid of your MTN and Airtel and use Glo. Stop going to Shoprite and go to the market. Watch NTA, Channels and AIT and stop funding DSTV. Use Air Peace instead of BA. Buy Nigerian and shun imported.

I fought Buhari for eight years because he was a tribalistic leader. But regarding appointments, so far, Tinubu has been fair to all zones, including those who did not vote for him. As long as he continues on this path, and as long as he does not reintroduce fuel subsidy, I won't fight him. But if subsidy comes back, then woe betide him.

Reno Omokri shares his two cents on the Kano mass wedding that happened yesterday

#BBNaija is Haram in Kano. But they don't interfere when Southerners engage in that practice where nudity and open intercourse, as well as indecent fights are celebrated and beamed to millions of impressionable youths. So, if the government and people of Kano decide to help single women find husbands to increase societal happiness and reduce the temptation for immorality, we Southerners should live and let live.

Speaking for myself, I think mass weddings of willing people are better than what we engage in in the name of Big Brother. But that is my opinion, and it should not matter. As long as that is what the people of Kano want and have practised, whether the Government in power is PDP, APC, or NNPP, then we non Kanawa should accept it and drink water if we can't stomach it.

If we Southerners are concerned with propriety, immorality, and decency, we should tackle what happens at night in Unilag and at almost all universities in Southern Nigeria.

  9. God Alive In You!!
    Ephesians 3:19.

    Excerpts!!

"Having received the Holy Spirit, God lives in you now; you’re His temple. Through you, He impacts your world. He brings sinners out of darkness into His marvellous light. You’re His extension in the earth today."

"He’s talking in you and walking in you today. Every time you’re ministering to someone about Jesus, that’s God at work and alive in you and through you."

"He said in Mark 16:15, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Through you, He impacts this world with the glory of His divine presence, demonstrates the character of the Spirit, fills the earth with the knowledge of His glory, and rains righteousness upon the nations."

    Prayer!!

Everywhere I go, I go in and with the Father who lives permanently in me. Through me, He expresses His love and righteousness to others, for I'm His extension in the earth by Christ Jesus. Glory to God!

  13. Good morning bvs.
I missed out on the last FAQ post. Please, what can I do to my face?
It's rough. Maybe because I use to have lots of pimples (but not anymore) and this is the aftermath, I don't know.
I hardly ever use makeup except for weddings(which is rare), so, it's not a case of my face not breathing.
I bath twice daily and I am a very neat person.
Please, what can I do? I would love to have a smooth face too. 😭
Home remedies or bought products would be fine but, please note that, I earn 45k (here, in Lagos) and I use it to cater for a home of four (siblings). So, price friendly products would be fine.
    Thank you very much.

    2. It's good that you want to cater for your own face this time around.
You cater for a home of four siblings, they can't do part time jobs that are very easy to get in Lagos if they are schooling?
When do you want to arrange your own life? Most men nowadays will even run if they see that only you is carrying the family burden cos they know that the responsibility will automatically be transferred to your man.

    3. Nigeria and family burden ,for this economy monthly salary 45k God will come through for you , but if they re of age they can look for factory work to support you .sometimes I dey vex for this country ,people just dey manage anyhow

    5. Thank you Ummu and anon 09:16. The truth is bitter
@ blue, tell your siblings to look for jobs in shopping malls, cafes, eateries and other pubs to support themselves. Most of these eateries and malls do shifting , they have morning shift and afternoon shift. How can you be carrying the burden of a home of four siblings with 45k salary?
09:27, go and pick up your reading glasses and read the comment again or beg someone to interprete for you in your native language since you have English comprehension problem. She said she "caters for a home of four siblings".

    6. @9:16 and Medussa, I wish I could go into details but, I'm sorry I can't. Let it just be that which I have typed alone.
After all said (and done), can I please have a solution. Thank you.

    7. Blue, go and Google past FAQ posts, you will see the solution there. Just type FAQ posts on SDK blog and read them.

Medussa thanks for replying that olodo. You saved her this morning, I would have given her a good dose of lashing. It's only to rush and bash people with their frustrated fingers that they know, nothing is in their empty komkom heads.

    Praise the Lord

    ✓KNOW YOURSELF PART TWELVE.
Identifying signs of NOT being in an emotionally invested relationship involves recognizing behaviors and feelings that suggest a lack of commitment, emotional detachment, or disinterest. Here are 10 instances of signs indicating a lack of emotional investment in a relationship:

1.) Lack of Communication: Minimal sharing of thoughts, feelings, and concerns, and a lack of interest in engaging in meaningful conversations.

2.) Limited Empathy: Difficulty understanding or disregarding the partner's emotions and lacking genuine concern for their well-being.

3.) Little to No Support: A lack of encouragement, absence during challenging times, or indifference towards the partner's goals and achievements.

4.) No Future Planning Together: No discussions or plans for the future as a couple, indicating a lack of commitment to a long-term relationship.

5.) Emotional Distance: Feeling emotionally disconnected or numb, unable to be vulnerable or share personal details with the partner.

6.) Disrespecting Boundaries: Ignoring or crossing established boundaries, indicating a lack of consideration for the partner's comfort and needs.

7.) Selfish Prioritization: Consistently prioritizing personal desires and needs over those of the partner, demonstrating a lack of investment in the relationship.

8.) Ignoring Relationship Maintenance: Neglecting efforts to nurture the relationship, such as lack of date nights, special gestures, or quality time spent together.

9.) Avoidance of Conflict Resolution: Evading or refusing to address conflicts, which may lead to unresolved issues and emotional distance between partners.

10.) Constant Unhappiness or Discontent: Feeling persistently dissatisfied or unhappy in the relationship, indicating a lack of fulfillment and emotional investment.

  26. You Own Nothing, You Lose Nothing...

If you buy land or buy a house, you have only paid rent for the remaining years you have on Earth. None of them belong to you.

If you buy a car, you have only paid for your transport for the period the car will last or for the period you will last. It doesn't belong to you.

If you marry a spouse, you have only got company until circumstances or death do you part. No one owns the other.

If you have children, you have only fulfilled the demand of continuity of life until death comes. You don't own them. That's why the State still dictates how you bring them up.

If you have money, you have only amassed value to purchase what you want, for your remaining number of years on Earth. The notes belong to the Central Bank.

If you work and retire, your pension is only for life. After your life, it stops.

Even if you eat and get filled, the food in your belly isn't yours. You must defecate it back to Earth.

The body itself which you cherish so highly, doesn't belong to you. The Earth will certainly reclaim its bits, when the loan is due.

Even the life we live is borrowed, and surely will be returned.

So let us not be afraid of losing anything in this life, because we do not own anything here. Two things will surely happen; we will either be taken away from everything we think we own or everything we think we own will be taken away from us someday. It is that day that none of us know.

We boast about our body, our houses, our lands, our money, our wives, our husbands, our children, our parents, our everything. But that's where it ends. Boasting! Ruminate intensely and it won't be difficult to find out that, we do not own any of those things. We are only availed of them to mitigate the necessary constraints of our sojourn here.

So never lose your head or your cool or your temper or your values or your vibrancy, whenever you think you have lost something because nothing was ever really yours. Not even those things you cherish so be humble and always live to leave a good legacy behind as this is the only thing that you will be remembered with. A word is enough for the wise.
