Ohanaeze said Atiku’s lifelong ambition to become president has come to an end.
The group made the remark while appreciating the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Minister, Nyesom Wike-led G-5 governors for sinking Atiku’s ambition.
A statement signed by Ohanaeze’s factional Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said Atiku should retire from politics because he disregarded the zoning formula during the last presidential election.
He also commended former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Afenifere’s leader, Ayo Adebanjo, who supported the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The statement reads partly: “We express our heartfelt gratitude to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Pa Ayo Adebanjo-led Afenifere, Dr Pogu Bitrus-led Middle Belt Forum, Pa Edwin-led Pan Niger Delta (PANDEF), and all others who stood firmly in support of Mr Peter Obi. Their unwavering commitment to the cause is commendable.
“Special appreciation is extended to the Nyesom Wike-led G5 Governors for their instrumental role in sinking the ambitions of Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s lifelong ambition to become president has reached its conclusion.
“It is now the opportune moment for him to gracefully retire from active politics, recognizing that his age necessitates this sacrifice to salvage the PDP, which he externally damaged in 2015 by aligning with the APC to remove Jonathan and internally in 2023 by disregarding the zoning formula that favored the Southeast and the Igbo people.”

Ohanaze FACTIONAL secretary..
ReplyDeleteEmphasis on 'Factional'..
Factional groups are in most cases sponsored by the government or individuals for selfish interest.
Their interest is their pocket.
They're are not the real group.
Don't be deceived.
They had to use an Ibo group name to seem like the group support the government of the day.
We can tell who is really behind this mockery statement.
Na so una go waste the next 4 years on rubbish.
Because you must be president, whether by hook or crook
U didn't lie. I understand their ways
DeleteAppreciating Wike for sinking Atiku’s ambition? Y’all play too much.

ReplyDeleteWahalur 😄
ReplyDeleteBut how e take concern dem na
All this anywhere belle face socio-cultural organisation. Always ingratiating themselves to any government in power.
ReplyDeleteIf it is his goal or dream in life to become president why plead with h him to kill his dream so you can look good before APC?The Mahattir Mohamad was 92 years old in 2018 when he was freely and fairly elected as president of Malaysia, after being in the opposition for years. Ohaneze should channel their energy into bringing security to the southeast , a situation that has forced many of them into involuntary exile in Lagos, Abuja and even Asaba, rather than just being political jobbers.
Besides, between the supposedly younger President Tinubu & the older Atiku, who looks younger and more physically fit?
Stella abeg post.
Atiku don't mind them, nobody should tell you when to retire. The decision is yours alone to make.
ReplyDeleteHow is it their business? Na wa! Na their money?
ReplyDeleteWhatever he is part of the problem we are having now
ReplyDeleteBut they are right..Atikus greed and power hunger made Peter Obi lose the election.A Hausa man just finished 8 years and Atiku greedily contested and used northern alatenuje people to win the primary though everyone knew presidency was supposed to go to the south(wether east or west).
