Nigerian Govt Indefinitely Suspends N-Power

The Nigerian Federal Government has indefinitely suspended the N-Power program, which was launched in 2016 to address youth unemployment and foster social development .

The announcement was made by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, during an interview on TVC News

According to Edu, the decision was made due to some irregularities within the scheme. The government has launched an investigation into the utilization of funds since the inception of the program

She also noted that some beneficiaries are not found in their place of assignments yet they expect monthly stipends and some beneficiaries should have exited the program since 2022 but are still on the payroll.
According to her, the government plans to totally restructure and expand the N-Power program

    2. Yet we complain about the presidency alone, Nigerians are inherently corrupt, they only shout when it does not favour/suit them.

  5. I was in the vehicle when two guys were discussing. One of them said he was just coming from N-power office where he went to do the monthly documentation to receive his money. The second guy was like you still dey collect from N-power even as you be civil servant? You would think that with the IPPIS platform, all these would be detected, well unless they pay them with cash.
