We are not getting younger. Look for a problem and solve! There's ton of money in this country. You only need to find a solution to the myriad of problems we have, and boom, you will create a healthy source of income for yourself.
A little sleep. A little slumber. And poverty will overtake you.

  4. Righteous Use Of Our Finances!!
    Mathew 6:33.

    Excerpts!!

"Whatever you are currently doing with your finances, especially in relation to God, to the propagation of the Gospel and the advancement of the Kingdom is a reflection of what you would do if your finances were multiplied a hundred times."

"Money is an amplifier; it has the unique ability to amplify, magnify or reveal one's character. Every action and decision you make with your money today is a testament to your character, and this fundamental aspect of your character will not change when your financial resources are increased. You will simply do more of what you have been doing."

"It's not about the amount of money you possess; rather, it's the alignment of your heart and intentions with God's purposes."

    Prayers!!

Dear Father, I declare that I am a faithful steward of all that you've entrusted to me, and I use my finances in ways that honours and glorify you. My financial character is rooted in righteousness. I give generously, sowing seeds of blessings, and I'm committed to the prosperity and advancement of the Kingdom, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  5. PATIENCE UNTO GOD

Having PATIENCE in the face of trial and temptation is a plus to your soul, many problems of this world have dragged so many Christians out of their God given pathway, many have given up on Godliness in a bid to get out of horrible situations out of impatience, child of God, have PATIENCE no matter what. James 1:4

Pressure and temptation is one of the tools devil uses to activate his hold on you, but when you resist it, he will flee james 1:12, the devil knows that at the end of his temptation when you prevail, you shall receive a reward, so he will try to fight you.

Establish your heart, to heavenly principles and concepts, when your heart is set on worldliness you might not be too patient with God, you will hunger for a sharp sharp or quick solution.
While you are waiting for answers and results let your heart be set in christ, for he cometh soon. James 5:8
In verse 10 of james 5 you are advised to take as an example the prophets who suffered and was patient too.

Endure, have PATIENCE, keep believing even if you are not seeing results.
Don't let your heart shake, God has promised to do it, he can never fail or go back on his words.

JESUS LOVES YOU, COME TO JESUS TODAY.

    Say this prayer of salvation

Dear lord jesus, I'm sorry for all my sins, please come into my life, i believe you died on the cross of calvary for me, and on the 3rd day you rose again, please come and be my lord and personal saviour. Please Wash away my sins and bring me into your loving light. Amen

  8. How Can We Use Compound Adjectives Correctly?

πŸ“Œ FOREWARNING! This is a fairly long post comprising PART 1 (a short story) and PART 2 (a grammar lecture).
    #StayWithME

    πŸ›‘ PART ONE

One of my mentees, an English teacher in a reputable secondary school in PH City, sent me a message on WhatsApp.

I gave him a WhatsApp video call.

He told me that he wants to resign from his current school.

    "Why?" I asked.

    He lamented:

"The father of one of my students came to my school to revile me right in my school principal's office.

And the principal took sides with the man simply because he's an influential politician in Rivers State and he has many of his children in my school."

NB: Revile means to criticize someone strongly, or say unpleasant things to or about someone.

I asked my mentee and friend, "What was the main bone of contention?"

    "Two major issues", he said.

And tearfully, he summarized the major issues, namely:πŸ‘‡

1.The parent stated that he, the English teacher, was fond of teaching nonsense to his son. The man said:

"How can he say he's an English teacher? That's very wrong. He should say that he's a teacher of English. Teacher of English language, not English teacher, do you understand?"

In agreement, the school principal kept nodding like an agama lizard while the man continued to rant.

    2.Continuing, the man said:

"My son in SS1 wrote in an essay on DESCRIBE YOURSELF πŸ‘‡
'I am the fifteen-years-old son of Hon. XYZ'.
How come this s.t.u.p.i.d teacher marked him wrong! Can you imagine? What's wrong with that correct sentence, ehn?" He asked the principal.

And on and on, Hon. XYZ railed, ranted, and raved.

Embarrassingly obsequious, the principal stood up, profusely apologised to Hon. XYZ, and asked the teacher to also apologize to this (dis)honourable oga!

The teacher, my no-nonsense mentee, said in unbridled anger, "No apologies!", and walked away in decent haste.
    πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

First off, Honourable XYZ did a (dis)honourable thing by going to the school to arrogantly confront his son's teacher.

Let someone who knows him tell him that the phrase, "English teacher" is correct.

English teacher doesn't only refer to a teacher from England as in the manner of a Nigerian or Indian teacher meaning a teacher from Nigeria or India.

English can be used for the language and the nationality (i.e., people from England).

    So, English teacher is correct.

Just the same way Mathematics teacher, Chemistry teacher, Social Studies teacher are all correct!

Let someone also tell the (dis)honourable Honourable thatπŸ‘‡
"I am the fifteen-years-old son of Hon. XYZ."
    is a wrong grammatical construction.

He needs to delete the "s" in "years", okay?

    Therefore, the correct version isπŸ‘‡
I am the fifteen-year-old son of Hon. XYZ.

And this is the essence of today's lesson: HOW CAN WE USE COMPOUND ADJECTIVES CORRECTLY?

    #StayWithME πŸ€—

One last point concerning the incident, though.

Hon. XYZ and his ilk have no right to b.u.l.l.y any teacher anywhere!

In fact, Hon. XYZ and his ilk have an urgent need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Wake up and smell the coffee is an informal idiomatic expression which is used to tell someone that they are wrong about a particular situation and must try to pay attention to what's going on around the country/world.

Let's now talk about How to Use Compound Adjectives Correctly.
    ………….πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯…………

    1. πŸ›‘ PART TWO

HOW TO USE COMPOUND ADJECTIVES CORRECTLY

To begin with, a compound adjective functions just like simple adjectives in describing or modifying nouns.

Compound adjective is formed by combining two or more words to describe a particular noun thereby providing some information about the noun.

      TWO USAGE RULES

      RULE No. 1
You shouldn't pluralise any of the words in a compound adjective.
      For exampleπŸ‘‡
      πŸ‘‰a ten-day-old chick ✅
      πŸ‘‰a ten-days-old chick ❎
NB: Delete the "s" in days.

πŸ‘‰I am the fifteen-year-old son of Hon. XYZ.

      RULE No. 2
2a. You should hyphenate the words in the compound adjective if the compound adjective is used attributively, that is, if adjective occurs before the noun it describes or qualifies.

      For example πŸ‘‡
      πŸ‘‰I met a ten-year-old boy.✅
NB: Here, ten-year-old is used attributively.

2b. You should NOT hyphenate the words in the compound adjective if the compound adjective is used predicatively, that is, if it occurs after the noun in the predicate part of the sentence.

      For example πŸ‘‡
The boy (I met) is ten years old.✅
NB: Here, ten years old is used predicatively.

      Other examples:

Will you attend the two-days conference?❎
Will you attend the two-day conference?✅
The conference will last for two days.✅

      I'm reading a 200-page book.✅
      The book I'm reading has 200 pages.✅

HOW YOU CAN CREATE COMPOUND ADJECTIVES

You can create adjectives by a special combination of specific word classes or parts of speech.

The following are a few examples of compound adjectives; the nouns they modify are in brackets.

  19. Reno Omokri talks on Nigeria not having money

Only an ignoramus still thinks Nigeria is rich. Are you aware that the money from the oil Nigeria is selling today and for the rest of 2023 has been collected by the Buhari regime? It is easy to come on social media and whip sentiments for popularity. Nigeria is broke. And Nigeria would still have been broke if Waziri Atiku or Peter Obi won the election. There is no significant difference amongst PDP, APC and Labour. Only the NNPP is ideologically different. Has Alex Otti fixed Abia in 5 months? Is he not buying foreign SUVs just like the House of Representatives? Stop acting as if Nigeria suddenly became terrible five months ago!

Reno Omokri on what those saying that the demolitions in Lagos are targetted at them should do

Rather than claiming that the ongoing demolitions of properties built on drainage channels in Lagos are targeted at Igbos, is it not better to publish a genuine building permit certificate from the Lagos State Physical Planning and Development Authority for those buildings? Why making this about the tribe? Did Governor Soludo not recently demolish structures built on drainage areas in Ansmbra? Did Oby Ezekwesili complain?

If the buildings were built on drainages without approved Development Permits from LASPPDA, they should be demolished. If they are not demolished, they will cause flooding, which recently killed many and grounded social and commercial activities in Lagos. Being Igbo, Hausa, Fulani or whatever is not an excuse to build on drainages, and your ethnicity should not place you above the laws of Lagos.

Don't cry that this is targeted at any ethnicity. Just show an approved permit, and we will join you in seeking justice. But if you cannot show one, we will join you in packing your load from your demolished illegal structure, no matter where you come from. If you don't like Lagos, relocate! There are 35 other states and the FCT to choose from. So ye yin?

  24. HOLY SPIRIT CONTROL

'Follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.' Galatians 5:25 NLT

Are you struggling with an out-of-control appetite when it comes to money, food, nicotine, alcohol, drugs, sex, or...(you fill in the blank). Have your repeated efforts to gain control left you with a sense of shame, failure and hopelessness? Have all your attempts at self-control failed?

Try Spirit control! 'Let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions...But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control...Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives' (Galatians 5:16-17, 22-25 NLT).

The secret of walking in victory is in realising these two things: (1) Self-control is not something you do for God, it's something God does for you. (2) Self-control is not a one-time work but a daily walk. Each time you say no to self and yes to God, his Spirit comes to your aid and empowers you. By choosing to obey God instead of your impulses, you activate the power that brings victory.

    ✓KNOW YOURSELF PART TWENTY

How can a child who has experienced Emotional Incest get help?
A child who has experienced emotional incest can take several steps to seek help and support in their healing process:

1.) Therapy with a Mental Health Professional: Consulting a qualified mental health professional, such as a therapist, counselor, or psychologist, experienced in trauma and family dynamics, can provide crucial guidance and support. Therapy can help the child process their experiences, learn coping skills, and develop healthier emotional boundaries.

2.) Support Groups: Joining support groups or forums where individuals share similar experiences can provide a sense of community, validation, and understanding. It allows the child to connect with others who have gone through similar challenges and learn from their journeys.

3.) Educational Resources: Reading books, articles, or watching videos about emotional incest, trauma, and healthy boundaries can help the child gain insights into their experiences and provide tools for recovery.

4.) Self-Care and Self-Compassion: Learning to prioritize self-care, self-compassion, and self-love is essential for healing. Engaging in activities that promote well-being, relaxation, and emotional growth can aid in the recovery process.

5.) Establishing Healthy Relationships: Working on building healthy relationships with trustworthy individuals who respect boundaries and provide support is crucial. It can be friends, partners, or chosen family members who are understanding and empathetic.

6.) Mindfulness and Meditation: Incorporating mindfulness practices and meditation into daily routines can help the child develop emotional awareness, self-regulation, and resilience in dealing with past trauma.

7.) Expressive Arts Therapies: Engaging in activities such as art therapy, music therapy, or writing can be a way for the child to express their emotions and process their experiences in a safe and creative manner.

8.) Legal Support (if needed): In severe cases where legal intervention is necessary, seeking assistance from a lawyer or appropriate legal services can be crucial in protecting the child's rights and ensuring their safety.

It's important for the child to be patient with themselves throughout the healing journey. Every individual's path to recovery is unique, and seeking help and support is a significant step towards healing and rebuilding a healthier and fulfilling life.

I wish I can type all the events that took place this year alone that God Almighty in His infinite mercy came through for us. I'm talking about him and I cos if I start typing about the whole family it'll be lengthy. What about the missing name from clearance to Nysc. I was almost deported the day I stepped my feet in this country, they called security on me right there at the airport, how can I forget

When I talk about powers that be, some say I'm being too traditional or whatever they call it, I accept. I alone know where I'm coming from and what I've been through physically and spiritually. And that's why I don't joke with this God. What He's done and is doing for me, only me knows. Where He brought me from, where He's taking me to, the storms he calmed.

I'll share my testimony some day just to encourage someone out there. My bro is alive and currently at the hospital recieving treatment with the others. People are looking for food while some are busy hating and wasting their resources on spiritualists
Dear Jesus, you did this and I must tell the world even if it's just few out of the many testimonies. Thank youπŸ™

    8. Let Jehovah be praised. Please advice everyone involved in that accident to go for medical examination and x-ray to eliminate every possibility of internal bleeding. Especially as the vehicle tumbled thrice. I have heard of cases like this, where people came out unhurt from such accidents, only to die few days later of internal bleeding.

I don't understand this dollar to naira thing o. I listened to the news this morning and they said naira is now 1200 to one dollar. I now ran to Google to confirm, I saw 740 naira to one dollar. Which one will i believe now?πŸ€”

    1. Disregard Google. What you saw on Google is supposed to be the official rate, but the banks in the first place always claim not to have the dollars, and when they even do won't sell it to you at the official rate, thereby leaving the parallel market i.e. Bureau de change(Aboki) the only option

  42. Yesterday's chronicle made me understand why some people like my husband do not eat in other people's houses. Even in family parties. Whether it was food poisoning or poison was added to the food, not eating in another person's house would have prevented the diarrhoea.
