I saw a brutal comment yesterday that I had to delete on the supreme court verdict post...Please let me clarify here that BV Milkshakes is not my PA at all in anyway........He has a mini day Job helping me cull stories and that is no reason to insult him please if he stepped on your toes.........

DeleteAfter my job at Abia State, I had two jobs to commence immediately. Arrangement already made remaining payment. The very week payment was to be made, the contractor called to say the job has been put on hold and they will get back to me which they never did. I later found out someone got the job and was handling it. When I called the site manager and enquired why someone else was used for the job, he told me the man that got the job and the Engineer belongs to the same fraternity.
ReplyDeleteAnother contact came again early this October and I went and made samples. The owner of the house was impressed and assured me I will handle the job. I was so happy at least bills will be paid and the apartment I was looking for will be gotten at ease. I kept following up and calling in excitement.
The job was delayed until this week I got the disappointing message that payment again was made to someone else.
Another hope dashed again.
I felt very bad and pained over it all. But what can I do. I called a friend in the same field and explained this experiences to him. He invited me to a site he was working. When we met and was discussing, he told me plainly that if I must survive in this work, I must belong. I asked him belong where? He told me majority of contractors and workmen doesn't use ordinary hands in getting jobs. He said I need to be making spiritual moves to secure jobs.
He went further to tell me how he has gotten jobs back to back. So I asked him which of the group he belongs to? He said he doesn't belong to any but he makes spiritual moves and do some sacrifices whenever he put in quotations for a job.
Mehn this life is too deep. To think this last job I lost, the person who got it, his quotation was higher than mine with about 700,000. I still don't know how and what happened cos I do settle Engineers. In fact, it's always the first agreement to be made. So I don't know what really happened that I lost the job but then, it's fine.
Na only God I get and I will never bow to pressure to indulge in anything that will later keep me restless and eventually got my life ruined.
I pray every minute for jobs that will not be lost. It hasn't been easy lately I must admit and be candid here but I trust and believe in God that what is mine won't pass me by. I'm tired of putting quotations without getting it done. Almost at the period when jobs flows and nothing yet.
Pls make una dey put me for prayers ooh. I want to end this year at least with two or three major jobs.

DeleteI can relate to your plight and everything you narrated is absolutely true because my husband also experienced same thing in the same Port Harcourt city, money wasted and hope dashed, he eventually heard the projects were awarded to less qualified hands, what will he do na? He kept pushing and God was able to give him another project at UPTH without much stress. Keep pushing and trusting God.

MEMORISE:

16. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

MESSAGE:
The flesh is a very powerful weapon in the hands of the devil. Galatians 5:17 says the flesh and the Spirit are always in constant war against each other. The flesh always wants you to commit sin, while the Spirit wants you to please God. If the flesh wins the battle, then ultimately, the devil has won over your soul; that is why you must put your flesh under your control at all times, and one of the major ways to do that is to fast often.
Only a few select people have fasted for forty days and forty nights. The only three recorded for us in the Scriptures are Moses, Elijah and Jesus Christ. It will interest you to know that only the three of them were there on the mount of transfiguration, glowing like the sun. Today's message is not for the faint-hearted; it is for those who really want to grow.
Don't let anybody tell you that fasting ended when Jesus Christ said, "It is finished" on the cross; fasting is for now. In Matthew 9:14-15, some people came to Jesus Christ and complained about His disciples not fasting. He said that after His death, resurrection and ascension, the people would fast. Fasting is for now, and we will fast until the Bridegroom returns. When He returns, there will be no need for fasting anymore because 1 John 3:2 says that when He returns, we shall see and be like Him. When the rapture comes, those who are not dead will have their bodies transformed to become like the body of the Lord Jesus Christ. At that time, we won't need food; whatever He eats in His new body is what we will be eating, but until then, while your body is still the way it is, warring against the Spirit, you must fast to remain in the light of Christ.
There are those who will tell you fasting is not for the age of grace. They are big liars. Paul - the Apostle of Grace, said in 2 Corinthians 11:27 that he fasted often. He fasted often so he could subdue the flesh, and it would not cause him to be cast aside (1 Corinthians 9:24-27). Apostle Paul said many people run a race, but only one will win. If you want to enter the Kingdom of God, then you must make fasting your lifestyle.
ACTION POINT:
Set apart days in the year for fasting and praying.

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the holyspirit, why do you keep defiling and making it unclean. 1cor 6:18-19
For example if president tinubu tells you he wants to come and live in your house, you will even protest that he should not come because your home is not worthy for him, and if he insist and you let him in, i bet you, you will mop the floors every morning, wash the bathroom and the toilet, keep the kitchen clean etc.

On my way to town this morning,I passed the Holy family Catholic Church and I saw a crowd, people were walking,boys brigade playing instruments,women in their uniforms. I was wondering what was going on then I saw an ambulance,then a Jeep with a woman and children in whiite. I said to myself that should be the deceased immediate family. My heart broke. The children we're still liltle. The tears gathered in my eyes. Why do people have to die,why?? I wish there's no death. It is well with that woman and her young kids,may God be with her and everyone going through such pains.
