Why are Human beings more attracted to Bad News than a Note-worthy News?
People react more to evil propaganda than the Good ones???
There may be many reasons but these two reasons stand out:
Delete1.) We tend to have a stronger attraction to bad news due to evolutionary and psychological factors. In the past, our ancestors needed to be aware of potential threats for survival, so a heightened sensitivity to negative information helped them stay alert and prepared. This tendency has carried through to modern times, where bad news can trigger a stronger emotional response and capture more attention compared to positive or neutral news. Media outlets also often emphasize negative stories as they tend to grab more attention and generate higher viewership or readership, contributing to the perception that bad news is more prevalent.
2.) People are attracted to negativity subconsciously… either because they subconsciously like to see others doing bad so that they can feel better about themselves and think their life isn't that bad as it seems… or they find more entertainment in negative news then positive ones.. that's why murder mystery documentaries were always so entertaining as people love listening to these kinds of dark stories and want to know what happened. People love the shock value of negative news, especially in politics.. they are trying to explain their life through false narritives, using these negative news as an example to explain certain things and why certain things happen to them. On YouTube or other platforms, the videos that gets the most views are the click bait shock value videos with social experiments on unsuspected people. So really, it's shock value entertainment.. trying to find some excitement in their life by negative news or videos, it's an unconscious and subconscious behavior. Before YouTube, the local news or newspapers and tabloids were the original "click bait" and were filled with negative news.
Now, if you change your mindset, the negative news is now not attractive. When you read the negative news you start feeling more empathy instead of anger. You can look through the negativity and see other people’s points of view. It no longer fuels you as you are more interested in seeing the positive instead.
