ReplyDeleteThis movie SISTA is one movie that has made me speechless.I didn't know what to make of it after watching it.There is nothing I have not thought of since yesternight I watched this movie..it made question the "fairness" of life. What I felt was pure anger. I don't know which is making me more angry,is it the fact that the children just embraced the man immediately he came into their lives, forgetting what the mum had been through all those years because of them, they didn't think of their mum!,they were too quick to embrace the man, probably bcos they saw opportunity for a good life?
Secondly,is it the fact that they didn't end up together after all they went through; their parents throwing them out of the house at that young age,them having to fend for themselves,she giving up her studies so she can source for funds for his; and after everything,he made it,but they were not together?
Thirdly,is it the fact that Aunty jay could advise the man's wife to let sleeping dogs be, instead of standing with SIsta, knowing all SIsta had been through,made me wonder what kind of friend she really is to Sista,strike me as the kind of friend that would see help coming Sista way and try to divert it.
I felt angry and I still do,I just felt that man should have disappeared forever. Coming to reap where he refused to sow,did he ever think of what that woman would go through? No,he only thought about himself!
It made me think about single mothers struggling day and night to cater for their children,is this how the children's father's would just appear one day and want to 'snatch' the kids? That was basically what he was trying to do, until his wife advised him.
Nevertheless, Forgiveness is key but right now I am really pissed off.It is really a great movie but I can't help but feel anger.

But his healing didn't come despite his confession of the word, until God told him to start doing the things he couldn't do. For someone who has been bed-ridden for a long time, it was hard, he struggled to sit up first, then struggled to stand, while still declaring the Word. Within an hour, he was up on his feet moving around and even joined his family for breakfast.
A period when I was jobless and I applied for a job, the person in charge started telling me stories as if he's indecisive about hiring me. I was so frustrated one day that I started praying some MFM prayers: 'Every stubborn tree standing between me and this job, I cut you down, in the Name Of Jesus Christ, Amen.'
I was praying it casually, then I heard in my spirit, "see the tree, lay your battle axe to the tree and cut it off!" I was enraged with holy anger, and I saw this huge tree before me, and the huge battle-axe in my hands, I raised and cut, raised and cut, several times, until my arm was numb.
The very next day, the guy came to my house to give me the contract, he even paid me part of the money for a job I haven't even started.
Long story short, the things of the spirit look like foolishness to the people of the world, but it's faith in what you HEAR from God and put to practice that brings results.

But on a serious note. You need deep and urgent counseling. You need someone to snap you out of these assumptions and imaginations that has beclouded you. Life is not easy anywhere even with those to grew up with their biological parents. You seem not to see anything good in anyone. You complain of everyone. Your foster father, mother, their children. Your foster father loves you so much to follow you for school runs abandoning his family for days. Making sure all your needs are met even though what he did at the hotel was wrong by touching you. I saw nothing wrong in getting only a room for two of you. You are his daughter and underaged. What if he gets a separate room for you and Something happens. How will he explain to people. There is also the probability that he might not have enough for two rooms as it was not planned.
You blamed your first husband even though you are the one that wanted the marriage as an escape route from your parents.
You are blaming nature and age difference blaming your current husband for lack of sexually satisfaction and brokenness when you saw all these things and married him out of fraustration and desperation.
You are blaming all your in-laws. Sweetie, everyone around you can not be wrong and you are the only right person.
The way you are going. If you leave this man, you will still continue the circle with another man and another man.
My dear if you are a Christian especially a Catholic. Go and buy "thank you Jesus" chaplet. Say it every morning and evening. Learn the art of gratitude. Find time to visit the blessed sacrament. ReplyDeleteYou see that treatment that our mothers gave us in those days, the one where they put a knife or smooth stone in the fire, when it turns red they drop palm oil on it and then put a drop of the frying oil on any injury caused by metal, it still works like magic. Yesterday afternoon in a keke maruwa, a nail injured my palm. It was so painful. I got home at night and carried out that hot palm oil treatment, this morning the site has hardened, with no pains except I press it hard.
My kids were seeing that for the first time 😂. They cringed when I dropped the oil on the injury and it made a frying sound, like I was frying onions. I told them I will give them that treatment henceforth if any of them play rough and gets injured.
