  1. Yesterday, for the second time in 3 months, the voltage of the transformer in my street has 'misbehaved', and caused serious damage to all the houses connected to it. TVs, Home Theaters, phones, laptops, ACs, fridge etc, wey dey on/plugged, just dey blow yesterday. Na so everybody come outside dey count their losses. Which kain wahala be dis for dis Tinubu economy bayi? πŸ₯ΊπŸ™†
The worst part is, KEDCO will not apologize sef. They'll only come to fix it. Nobody gives a damn the damage caused to you. Nigeria ehn?!?! sigh!!

    1. Good morning Bro,Ahhh una sorry ooo

Kindly advice those you are close with;to get TV guards or extension with surge protection;then connect those electronics or gadgets to it before extending it to the original wall socket..

That way, irrespective of the voltage or current, the surge protector would rather spoil, then all other electronics will be safe, then you all can replace the surge protector with another..

It’s what me and my guys use, over many years now and I can’t remember when last I repaired any of my gadgets due to current fluctuation..

      Hope this helps..#Cheers

Don't you people use TV guide or stabilizer? I use TV guide after I was tot a lesson in the hard way when I newly relocated to this Abuja.
The damage cost me 30k, I was crying that day when I was fixing that television. When I told my brother about my experience he told me to quickly get a TV guide with a good voltage. Since then weather light is high or low no need to worry cos tht TV guide will regulate it for it. If she is too bad it will not pick and I will know the light is terrible.

Make una go buy TV guide to avoid more stories.

  2. A Cue From Esther!!
    Esther 4:16 MSG.

    Excerpts!!

"In the 4th chapter of the book of Esther, we read how Esther had become queen, enjoying a wonderful life in the palace. However, she was unaware of a decree issued by Haman—a prominent but wicked figure who held a high position in King Ahasuerus’s cabinet. Haman’s plan was to exterminate the Jews, including Esther herself."

"Esther's perspective changed when her uncle, Mordecai, sent her a message to convey the dire nature of the situation. He warned her not to be complacent as she herself, despite being queen, wouldn’t be spared should Haman execute his wicked plan."

"Irrespective of the daunting challenges and the imminent perils or danger, stand your ground on the truth of God’s Word. Recognize and take advantage of God’s grace in you to win for others. Have the courage to act on the truth. Make bold choices, and be willing to face anything in pursuit of what is right. Hallelujah!"

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, I thank you for the doors of opportunity you've opened for me to make a difference in this world and win for others. I acknowledge and embrace the abundant grace you've bestowed upon me to lead others in victory and fulfil their purpose in life and ministry, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  13. CALLED BY GOD’S GRACE

'God...called me by his marvellous grace.' Galatians 1:15 NLT

In Scripture you'll notice that God usually called busy people. Moses the shepherd was busy tending his flock. Gideon the farmer was busy harvesting his crop. Peter and John the fishermen were busy mending their nets. But something inside each of them that responded to God's call. With God, availability matters more than ability. Imagine farm worker named Saul out looking for his father's lost mules, and returning home anointed to be Israel's first king (see 1 Samuel 9-10). There's no telling what God will do with you! So, be faithful and nurture the dream he put in your heart, and when the time is right, he will set everything in place.

The psalmist said, 'Enjoy serving the Lord, and he will give you what you want' (Psalm 37:4 NCV). Don't be impatient. If God put the desire into your heart, he'll provide what's needed to bring it to pass. Jesus said, 'Human effort accomplishes nothing...the...words I have spoken to you are spirit and life' (John 6:63 NLT). So, water your vision with God's word, and spend time with him in prayer. And if anyone tries to come between you and what God has called you to do, tell them, 'Sorry, I have to go. I'm already spoken for. My destiny is too important to miss.' Don't waste another day struggling with God's call on your life; surrender to him!

God didn't call you because of your great track record, great intellect or great gift. The Bible says, 'the more we see our sinfulness, the more we see God's abounding grace forgiving us' (Romans 5:20 TLB). You're 'called...by his marvellous grace'

  16. If you have kids that suck their thumb, you might come up with something to discourage them from sucking.

We tried severally to stop my little niece from sucking her thumb but didn't succeed. I don't know how I came up with this idea but I told her that anyone who sucks too much, the outcome is that the person's mouth will expand and to make it worse, bedbug will marry the person πŸ™‚. It's been over two months now and she has completely stopped sucking. She comes to ask me "will my mouth expand" I will say how can my baby's mouth expand when she's no longer sucking. She will ask again, "will bedbug marry me" I will say, God forbid bedbug only marries people who suck πŸ™„. Na so we don take overcome sucking.

      Shameless liars..

Instead of them using money to fix things, they'll rather use it to pay reporters and media houses to lie, then pay thugs and what have you to go and counter protest against people who come out to peacefully protest the mess happening..

I saw that Sokoto governor bought hundreds of Toyota cars to be used as Taxis for women, this is a state with over 65 percent poverty index, talk about misplaced priorities of the highest order.. all they're concerned is how they can make money from kickbacks and shady deals.. they don't have any interest to lead or do anything that would favour the citizens, unless things they'll gain from..

  22. I am the admin person in my workplace, we have a WhatsApp group chat where we created to pass information and also celebrate birthdays. Please is there a way I can be getting notifications for birthdays a day before the birthdays? I don’t want someone to remind me of a birthday but to always get notifications about it.

    1. Hi;At intervals(monthly or so) kindly send a message to the group asking everyone to fill in their birthdays, then you copy the dates and set a “reminder” a day before each persons birthday on your phone;that way you give them a birthday shoutout on their actual birthday without anyone reminding you of their various birthday..

    2. You can set a reminder a day before the birthday on your phone or laptop that is after getting all their birth date.

    3. First off, create a google or MS form link. Create a list of all staff on Ms Excel and create 12 worksheets i.e 12 months in a year. Then open sticky notes on your laptop or phone. Copy and paste there and check their names periodically. Or you can create reminders on your laptop by right clicking the date and time taskbar and you can input the dates.

I will help you to keep track of all the birthdays

  28. Our security guard is a young man living with his young beautiful wife and two children. The man called me in June that he has something serious to discuss with me. We scheduled a convenient time. He came over and said his wife left him and the children in tears. After calming him down. He told me the wife starves him of s.x, they stay for months without making out. He has to plead or drop money before she allows him. She graduated to chatting with random men . He showed me his wife's chat with another man. He screenshot the chats and sent to his phone. In the chat, the wife promised to leave her marriage and children by end of July so that they can live together as husband and wife and born beautiful children. She is tired of sleeping without him (the assumed boyfriend) and so many other unhealthy chats. I held myself because I could not believe all I read. When he confronted the wife, she got angry that he read her chats, threaten to leave him immediately but the man pleaded with her to stay. She stayed one week and left to God knows where leaving the children behind. After counselling him on why he should calm down because his children are too young and he cannot allow them suffer because of his misunderstanding with their mother. I got in contact with the wife and invited her. She told me her own version. The husband has not been a responsible husband and father. She and her children depend 70% on the small money she makes from plating hair. She complained of other things too. I faulted her on the aspect of being with her husband and still promising another man marriage and also leaving for a week without her underaged children. The oldest is 6 while the small one s 3+. We agreed to invite both parents and resolve the matter for the sake of her children. I went with them to Kaduna. Both parents were invited. We reconciled them. I left them behind and they came back the next day. Two days ago, I heard serious noise at the compound. I did not go out. It was yesterday a neighbor told me our security man and his wife fought. People gathered and seperated them. The man vowed never to have anything to do with her again. The security man called me last night to say he has relocated to Lagos so we should get another security and quit his wife and children from the house. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

    1. 1. Most times when a wife/gf all of a sudden starts avoiding or denying you sex, she's fucking someone else or in love with someone else, women deny this but the fact remains that unlike men, they are emotionally attached when having sex, please respect yourselves and don't come and use hoeloshos and hook-up girls as a defence to your arguments..

      2. Men should be more responsible, yea, but as a man, whether you're broke or rich, don't ever lose your pride. How can you still be accommodating and trying to settle with a wife that promised another man marriage, also telling the man shell leave her kids for him.. how S!MPle can you be mahn! Haba nah..

      3. A man needed a relationship advice and he went to meet a woman.. SMH.. apart from your mother and sister, only a handful of women would tell a man the truth on relationship matters, with those chats he showed, no sister or mother would still encourage him to settle, they understand the dynamics of things which every woman know, and won't lie to him.. na even them go go chase the woman commot for the house..
I'm sorry, I don't involve family in my write ups, but Zaram, if this guy was your bro and showed you those wicked screenshot chats while weeping, you wouldn't even bother to listen to the other side, even if you do, you'll never support any settlement between them again..

      4. There are sins that can be forgiven and things return back to the way it is and there are some that even if you forgive, things can't go back to the former status quo, a wife or girlfriend cheating is one of them. If you as a man forgive such and take her back, you'll suffer for it, shell punish you for forgiving her and she'll blame you when she cheats again..

Let me stop here for now, I no dey good mood this morning, this country dey irritate me

      Delete
    2. Ehnehn so you following them to Kaduna was a waste of time...hmmm

      Delete
    3. You tried being a peacemaker...Invariably both of them get am for body..She leaving the house and entertaining boyfriends really brought in the cracks in the marriage. Weaponizing sex et al. For me, I believe both of them were not being sincere and not ready for marriage at all. If you check the circumstances they met, you will see that ''structures'' were not put in place....Sex and money are the leading causes of separation and divorce..

Everybody can't be a professional but even as a security guard, there must be that hustling spirit in you and take charge as the man of the house. Some women once they are doing everything that traditionally a man should do, disrespect is inevitable.

Please just stay out of their problems and don't involve yourself in their matter again. The victims unfortunately are the children. I wish them well.

  35. We need an ICE BLOCK to chill the non-alcoholic drinks for your birthday.
    ICE BLOCK❎

    Why?

Let me make an intro, and I'll tell you a story.

Your high school teacher probably told you that ICE BLOCK refers to that block or piece of ice which you put in a cooler or big bowl to make drinks cold for a planned event.

    Right?

    Wrong!

That's a grammar lie. In other words, your high school teachers lied!

Let me jolt you into a new grammatical awareness with a very short story concerning ice blocks.

Many years ago when I was mum’s little girl, there weren’t any fast-food restaurants like Chicken Republic, Kilimanjaro, and Tantalizers; there weren’t any pizzas, birthday cakes, and the like.

In order to celebrate my birthday, my mum would usually prepare a table before me in the presence of neighbours' kids. And right on the table was usually a very big tray of rice carefully decorated with Cabin biscuits and groundnuts surrounded by bottles of soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Seven-Up, and Limca. I’m sure that most Nigerians who grew up in rural areas in the 70s and 80s can relate to the picture I’m painting here.

    However, things are different today.

So, once upon a sunny Saturday afternoon, my friend's and I went to Chicken Republic Port Harcourt, Nigeria to mark Francis' 5th birthday.

"Guy, what will you have?" I asked Francis.

"I'll eat chicken pie and I'll take ice block", he replied.

His elder brother, Christian, laughed heartily and said, "Instead of saying ICE CREAM, you said ICE BLOCK."

I flashed a wide toothy smile and said quietly, "Ice block is actually correct. Ice cream is also correct."

    "What?!" exclaimed Christian.

I brought out my phone, googled the meaning of ice block and showed Christian (just as I’ll show you very soon).

He stood up, danced in excitement and said, “I’ve learnt something new today. Thanks Vicky

Then, he went to the counter to place an order. The lady behind the counter said that Chicken Republic doesn't sell ICE BLOCKS.

I smiled, went to the counter and explained what ice block means. I also showed the lady the Google image of an ice block displayed on my phone screen.

"Thank you Ma! That's interesting! We learn every day. But, we don't sell ice blocks here", she said and gave me a smile.

So, Francis, the birthday boy, and his brothers settled for three different flavours of ICE CREAM.

    Hello reader!

I know you’re wondering: what's the difference between ICE BLOCK, ICE CREAM, and even ICE CUBE?

    I'll tell you.
    #StayWithME

Ice block refers to a sweet piece of ice with a fruit flavour on a small stick. In other words, it’s a confection in the form of a block of flavoured ice on a stick. It's also known as ice lolly.

Let me repeat this: ice block refers to a sweet piece of flavoured ice on a small stick. Look it up in any dictionary now (Oxford, Cambridge, Longman, Collins, Macmillan, Webster, etc).

Let’s move on to ice cube.

Ice cube refers to a small block of ice made in a freezer, especially for adding to drinks to make them cold.

It's different from an ice block.

Ice cubes are usually small. If they’re big, they could be referred to as “blocks of ice” (singular: a block of ice).

Again, I challenge you to stop reading and look up the meaning of 'ice cube' in the dictionary now.

    Done?
    It’s quite an eye-opener, isn’t it?

Finally, ice cream refers to a very cold, sweet food made from frozen milk or cream, sugar, and has a flavour such as vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry.
    ……….

    Got any value reading this?

    I'm rooting for you!✌🏾
