They were removed on Monday after the tribunal agreed with the arguments presented by the petitioners.
Ibe Okwara Osonwa, who represents Arochukwu/ Ohafia Federal Constituency on the platform of LP, was removed from the House by the tribunal, led by Justice Adeyinka Adegberegbe, which ruled that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Daniel Chimezie Okeke, was able to prove his petition that the election of Osonwa did not comply with the rule of law.

ReplyDeletea lot of sacking is ongoing as verdicts has started trickling in. not peculiar to LP
ReplyDeleteWhen LP loses at the courts, it's injustice in their thinking. Once it's Obi's old party, PDP that wins APC, it is justice. If PDP wins LP however, it's injustice. No one bothered to question the numbers and proportions of the first and second round of elections coming from the SE. It's just impossible that everyone would have voted en masse to lose parliamentary advantage from performers for untested hands simply because of party affiliation.
