DeleteAccidentally, I stepped on nail on Thursday at my left foot. The nail pierced my dunlop slipper and got at me😭😭.
ReplyDeleteI went to two pharmacy that evening and another the next morning but they aren't giving injection but drugs.
Today makes it four days I haven't taken the injection. No be say I dey fear oo but it's necessary to avoid some unpleasant story I have heard in the past about people it happened to.
I put a call across to my doctor and asked if it's late to still take the injection by Monday. She said no but I should take ampiclox this morning for the pains.

What happened was that, I was moving round the building showing the Engineer the progress of the work done so far. I didn't notice the stick I stepped on has a nail on it. That was what happened. Though I told my boys to clear every sticks with nails but how that particular one was left or unnoticed is what I don't know.

ReplyDeleteNBA conference is over so back to business. It was a bittersweet experience I must say.
The sweet part was seeing some of my classmates that I haven't seen in years and co hosting them and the bitter is how this conference was planned.
Using this weekend to wind down so I'm just chilling at home till Monday.
But I'm here today to correct some things. Let's be guided on sources of fake news especially those who claim to have "friends" as lawyers real or imagined. A few lawyers commented on what happened but no one noticed so let me clear it up.
I was at the conference from beginning to end. Lawyers did walk out when Portable was announced. It wasn't Obi Cubana who brought him BTW. One of the so called lagos based Excos did and na dem follow dey hail am. The rest of us(non lagos) walked out...clearly not fans of his music plus not the right setting.
Also, Cubana hosted a party for NBA for ONE NIGHT at Cubana lounge. He is not a sponsor. There are alot of very rich SANS some of them in government who sponsored alot. I wonder who go dey stay for that stadium dey party when they are alot of better places in abuja. During the day...yes but definitely not at night.
The lawyers contesting for presidency next year hosted their own parties in different places for their low key campaign. I hosted mine outside the stadium as well so whoever did theirs in there are probably junior colleagues who can't afford to do large scale.
The financial misappropriation was real tho...the story long but almost everyone have finally realised that our current NBA president is one of the worse we have had so far. Oh well...it is what it is.
Finally, let's be careful on people introducing themselves as lawyers. Alot of fraudulent people came there to take pics and post online. If they are not well dressed ie wearing suits with tags with AGC clearly written and hanging on their person, chances are he/she is not a lawyer.
Anyways, I had fun sha and I enjoyed seeing my classmates and callmates. I rarely attend but had to. A senior colleague is contesting for NBA presidency next year and went to show my support. Other than that, I for dey house cos it was overall embarrassing...SMH. The football match especially cos I was like onitsha lawyers wey be agbero you go dey fight them??? LOL.

Yoruba Ifa-based Babalawo are very popular with Whites and Latinos in the Americas, and Santeria and Candomblé are two of the fastest growing religions in North and South America. They are both based on traditional Yoruba Ifa religion, mixed with Catholicism, with saints known as Orisa.
Even in modern times, music of Yoruba origin is rebranding Nigeria's image away from 419 and romance scams. For this, we thank those who set the table and laid the foundation, especially Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey.
Unsurprisingly, all of Nigeria's Grammy Award winners have been of Yoruba descent, except Burna Boy, including:
