  1. When renowned Gospel Singer, Travis Greene, came to Nigeria for a concert in December 2018, he mentioned to a world wide audience, that his wife couldn't make it to Nigeria because she was heavily pregnant and they were expecting a boy. Guess what, she gave birth to the baby in 2019 - No issues, no complications, no loss. Nothing!
In Nigeria, if most of us don get belle, we no dey talk, (even to tell our parents o), talk less of talking about EDD or sex of baby. LoL.
Isn't the God you serve, more powerful than any evil force against you?
Always remember, what you believe, works for you! God help us all.
    Have an amazing weekend....#ALiSpeaks

    3. Very true. I remember when an Indian, in the company I worked formerly, asked me if I know the sex of the baby my colleague was carrying in her womb, and I replied no, he said I should ask her, I looked at him askance, I told him in Nigeria we don't ask people the sex of the babies in their womb, if you do, you are treated with suspicion or even branded a witch. All we do is wait for when they deliver and we offer our congratulations.
He was surprised, he said in his home country India, you can walk up to a pregnant woman and ask the sex of the baby she is carrying and it is not considered a big deal.
I told him, well, he can ask my pregnant colleague himself the sex of the baby she is carrying, it will not elicit suspicion, they will treat is as an Oyibo curiosity.

  2. It's A Matter Of The Heart!!
    John 7:5.

    Excerpts!!

"In John 7:3-4 MSG, we’re told something quite staggering about the siblings of Jesus: they were sceptical and didn’t believe in Him."

"The 5th verse specifically says, “His brothers were pushing him like this because they didn't believe in him either” (MSG). They were aware of the circumstances surrounding His birth, having heard the story from their mother, Mary, and their father, Joseph, who also had received angelic visitations about Jesus’s birth. Yet, they didn’t believe."

"That’s why, no matter the stories you hear and how many angelic visitations you receive, you still have to make the choice to believe from your heart."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity of being regularly exposed to the ministry of your Word and to express my faith. Always, my heart is set in order, receptive, fully prepared to receive your Word joyfully. I experience the life changing power of your Word as I align my heart, mind and actions with its truth, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  3. A lot of Nigerians are sick and perverted in nature. I saw a video of a woman been beaten and stripped naked by demented mobs.

No matter her crime, the best is to hand her over to the police. Why strip her naked and be filming her? See how they took pleasure tearing her undies and bra as if they haven't seen a woman's nakedness before.

I feel so pity for that woman as they kept on slapping and hitting her so hard till they got her naked. After getting her naked, they stopped the beating. So the nakedness was all there is they wanted to see? Before you tell me they did it to disgrace her so she won't engage on what she did again.

Was that the best thing to have done?

I still remember the Aluu 4. Nigerians hardly learn and that's a big problem.

The government should criminalize act like this and punish perpetrators of it. It's inhumane and barbaric. You don't take laws into your hands.

    1. That video was traumatizing for me.

Men always derive Joy from stripping women Naked.

A middle aged woman for that matter. Man’s inhumanity to Man

      Delete
    2. All these mob attacks are continuing because the law enforcement agencies have not made any determined efforts to put an end to it. After all the perpetrators did not conceal their identities, their faces are captured in videos, so why are they still walking free and gearing up to inflict more pains in future?

  23. Reno Omokri on the floods in NYC whilst simultaneously making s case for Nigeria

Today, New York City is currently heavily flooded. Rains have overwhelmed the drainage system of the world's most powerful city. Floods have shut down roads and the subway system. Schools had to be closed, and regular business around the city's financial heart is disrupted. Do you know what New Yorkers are doing? Watch the news. They are coming out to help each other and their city.

If this happened in Lagos City, what would Nigerians do? Would we come out to help our neighbours and clean up our city? Or would we run to social media to tell the whole world that NigeriΓ‘ is finished and that Lagos is the most useless place on Earth? Then later, we get angry when America and Europe issue travel advisory against Nigeria.

Reminds me of what my mum always say, she would tell you that if you sleep at home when you should be working, when the time to pay house rent comes and you can't meet up, you will start sleeping outside because landlord will send you packing.

    1. True Asia. It's because you are paying your bills in the house that's why you can sit or eat comfortably there. If you are owing, you won't even be seen at home during the day. You will sneak out in the morning and sneak in at night. So we should work when it's time to work.
