  1. Depending on where those ladies come from in Nigeria, there are actually some parts of Nigeria where begging is part of their culture and engrained in their DNA.

That is the men's begging format that they have been practicing for years before women started their own online. Not different from being a gigolo and dating women for their money pretending to love them.

Men should also speak out on their own and not focus on women so much because women are leaners where men are.

  7. I have a question please... Do birthday wish lists count posted on WhatsApp status (or any other platform) count as begging? Personally, I find it irritating, thus I am asking so that I can determine if I am being overly critical. These birthday wish lists even include bank details for the person to be credited. My belief is that you don't beg people to celebrate you, if you've made impact on their lives, they will naturally gravitate towards celebrating you.

    2. The thing with social media is that there really are very view rules of etiquette. Each user set their own parameters of engagement. It may be annoying, but not wrong because social media is a different space that permits more leeway. Is it truly begging if they have not asked you personally? You chose to open their status and read their post, they have not asked you for anything.

    3. I'm anonymous 13:58hrs. Fair enough on your position; I just think it's a bit belittling. Then I ask myself, if after all the wish listing nobody now responds, how do they feel? I could never sha!

    4. Social media does not have different rules of etiquette.

Good behaviour on and off social media is the same. For example, a person cannot wear bikini to a work place; so she is not expected to pose a picture of her wearing bikini in a office/work place whatsapp platform. If that person is a member of a swimming club/group of friends, she can post her picture in a new designer bikini on her swimming friends group whatsapp platform because they would see her in the bikini sooner or later.

  8. Where are these ppl because my WhatsApp is quite different. If you allow yourself to be part of all kinds of group I guess you will see all kinds of things. I am in two groups, one is to collaborate with colleagues in my industry and the other is my family group. Put a value on yourself and who has access to you.

    1. Exactly, I was thinking the same thing as I was reading the comments. All these things do not happen in my life or the lives of my family and friends. I guess everyone has their experiences based own their level in life.

  11. Begging is already embedded in our culture. All it takes is for her to be successful once, it will embolden her.
