PDP And LP Get Certified True Copies Of PEPC Judgement And Prepare Appeal..

The legal teams of the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) in the February 25, 2023, presidential election, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, have received the Certified True Copies (CTCs) of the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).

A 798-page document, which appeared to be the copy of the judgement given to the legal team of the All Progressive Congress (APC), went viral on Friday. The document was signed by the Secretary of the PEPC and dated September 8, 2023. This led to speculations as to why the copy of the judgement should be released to the ruling party without being handed also to the opposition but Both candidates of the PDP and LP have  confirmed the receipt of the judgment.

“I have a copy of the judgment; they are scanning it at the moment,” Obi’s lead counsel, Dr Livy Uzoukwu (SAN), confirmed to Saturday Punch
Atiku’s lead counsel, Chris Uche (SAN), confirmed the development.
“Yes; we have just received it,” he said.
The legal teams are expected to study the judgment and prepare their appeals to the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court has a maximum of 60 days to hear and determine appeals from the PEPC.
The PDP and LP have 14 days to file their appeals at the Supreme Court.

  2. It is very appalling For the fact that Tinubu does not even acknowledge the existence of any Nigerian. Someone who see you as a commodity that can be discarded. Someone who feels you are below him as to why he should participate in the campaign debate. Why is he fighting so hard to remain on a seat he bought? If he feels he deserves that seat as rightful his, won fair and square, then he shouldn’t be running to other countries whenever his presence is required.

Stella I know say my comment no concern your post but I just needed to journal my thoughts😁 thanks to my therapist 😘

    1. Aisha Yesufu and other equally disgruntled and confused losers can head to court for another watery claim on how debates organized privately determine who can run for office.

OBJ did not debate and won. Obi didn't debate to be governor.

The only governor to finance a mega state for 6 years without a dime in federal allocation and maintain that lead for over 16 years after leaving office has put in sufficient action to drown any words. All the ACN governors he backed into office performed way above expectations. He campaigned with the clear and best manifesto and already won hearts and minds of those who know that ACN is not CPC and were waiting for him to run because of his unbeaten track record of performance.

This same president has within days of his early arrival to the G20 summit, held an extra curricular series of meetings that have secured about 13 billion dollars in FDI coming to Nigeria with agreement that labor is sourced from within. Not loans o. Investments! Almost at the same level of the GDP for last year in just a few days. These are the high skilled high paying jobs that will birth a taxable class of young people instead of dreamers with no plans and chronic complainers. This is why we keep saying you have to re-skill and re-tool. The era of biscuits and lace for marginal gains have passed. This development is no different from what he did in Lagos, making it Nigeria's wealthiest state despite not being oil rich.

The policies floated in the monetary and energy sectors have leveled the field so talk to your governor about what he is doing.

South west states have already signed an mou to have sectoral power generation and distribution while others have their arms folded. When the businesses are chosing to be situated in regions and states that work, the other five will be claiming marginalization without seeing that it is self-inflicted.

Wise people realize that elections are not a bachelorette contest. While others were laughing at the length of shettim's tie or balablue gaffes, people were looking at capability and thankfully, their votes salvaged Nigeria.

    2. Where is his presence required as president that he had not attended or been ably represented by his vice? Where is the receipt of the bought election so your lawyer who presented 13 out of 50 witnesses for a whole presidential petition with no polling agent and no certified correspondence from Amazon, can take it to the supreme court and force it to be admitted through attempted blackmail by billboards?

The Obi you claim won an election was not around to hear the verdict of the court despite having nothing tangible to do on that day or even, generally. Even his vice has focused on his own life instead of wasting time in court on a frivolous suit.

It's time to wake up and smell the coffee. In a three pronged race, the minority with the most votes and spread won based on their candidate and party structure. You have about four years to plan to win or continue to wail.

  3. I laugh. The judges did a thorough job. I doubt they would get any other result even at the world court. They need to spend money tho. And to further be relevant by stretching their supporters(majority of whom have since moved on) giving them false hope
