Nigeria's 1st Chartered Accountant Akintola Williams Dies Aged 104

Akintola was the country’s first chartered accountant and he pioneered Nigeria’s accounting profession.


He was Born in 1919 and studied accounting at the University of London and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1947.
He returned to Nigeria and later set up his accounting firm, Akintola Williams & Co(now Deloitte & Touche)in 1952.
He reüortedly died in his sleep on Monday September 11, 2023

  17. Thank God for such an accomplished life spent in good health. From a family of achievers, this man really made his mark.

    This would really hit people like president Tinubu and baba Akinyelure who saw Baba as a mentor and pacesetter in their field. May baba rest in peace.
