Italian man Filippo Ferlazzo bagged 24 years jail term on Wednesday September 27, 2023 for causing the death of 39-year-old Nigerian man Alika Ogorchukwu who was on crutches in Italy July 29, 2022.
Ogorchukwu was assaulted in broad daylight as he was hawking. Mr Ferlazzo beat Ogorchukwu to death using the Nigerian’s crutches in front of several onlookers, who did not intervene. Some of the onlookers, however, recorded videos of the attack using their phones.
Ferlazzo, was arrested on July 30, 2022, for murdering Ogorchukwu and stealing his phone.
The Italian Police stated that they believe Ferlazzo attacked Ogorchukwu after he had asked Ferlazzo’s girlfriend to buy a handkerchief at 2 p.m. on the said day in the main central street of Civitanova Marche, Italy.
The Nigerian was found dead at the scene by paramedics.

What a sad way for him to die trying to make a living in another country because of the state of our country. Perhaps the poor man might be alive if our disgusting and dishonest politicians did not empty the country’s pocket by enriching their own pockets. Very sad indeed
