A childhood friend added me to a WhatsApp group. He said it was a sales group and I would get to advertise my business, he said I can even add my wife so she too can advertise.
My intuition said I should first check out the group for a few days before adding my wife.
People were posting what they sell, the services they render, prayers every morning, jokes, motivational quotes, etc.
I was happy.
Friday came, the group Admin announced some members to anchor what they called Freaky Friday show which starts by 7:pm. Poor me was excited, anxiously awaiting the show.
7:pm, Freaky Friday started. The anchor told members that they could start posting their Freaky Friday pics, videos and stickers.
Heh God! porn videos and pics started flying in. After opening one or two pics, I got a grasp of what Freaky Friday meant and stopped opening, thank God my WhatsApp is not on automatic media download. I just moved on to other things on social media.
The following day, a Saturday, I opened the group and skipped all the previous night's messages. People posted their wares, inspirational quotes, etc. I heaved a sigh of relief. Later in the afternoon, they said it was time for truth and dare game.
Truth and dare Inside WhatsApp group again? God abeg o (bv Fidel, no vex).
I wanted to exit it there and then but the curious side of me wanted to see how they will do it.
The first person said "dare"
They told him to snap himself wearing only boxers and send it to the group. He did it.
Another one said truth. They asked her if she has a man she is crushing on in the group, she should mention his name. She did.
They asked one other woman to mention her best gbenshing style? that she should use a pillow to demonstrate , make a video and send it to the group. She obeyed o, they were all laughing and making very lewd comments. Married and single people o.
So this is the group that they said I should invite my "innocent" wife to? LMAO
I quietly left before they will notice me and call me for anything.
I later shared my experience with wify, she told me there are several others like that where they do all sorts and even gbensh themselves in real life. She also told me she is in one. A surprised me asked her what she was still doing there, she said the group is useful in some ways, that she gets first hand news straight from Twitter and live from the location on that group. She said the group is her newspaper and I should not be scared, she will not misbehave.
I trust her, I believe her, she will behave well.

DeleteI am a married woman and I belong to one of such groups, I've been a member for five years. I avoid games that don't go down well with me, not planning to leave since I get other values from the group. I have never met with any man outside the group, never contemplated cheating on my hubby. The group is useful to me in several other ways, just avoid the activities that you don't like, no one will force you.
My hubby knows my password and I know his own. We don't monitor ourselves cos we love and trust each other.
I don't know how you run your own home, but don't come here and try to impose your beliefs on others. Kappish!

DeleteOga poster, na today your day break. There are many like this group. They start from Facebook, then add you to your State's WhatsApp group. They organise Hangouts and also attend members' functions like wedding, naming ceremonies, etc. All those activities are just to make the group lively. Someone like me, I don't participate in unholy games,I leave such for people that love them.
