PINKYS CORNER

My people, how una dey now? it's been a while abi?
There is this young guy who has a shop beside mine and sells all kinds of oil(engine oil ). This guy na one busy guy shaa because he also supplies building materials.

Yesterday, I was just thinking of how this IBDC dey treat us. No light at all and the two power bank wey dey don off then I bought 2litres of fuel for my small gen to charge. As I on am now, people came charging but told them at owner's risk. I went to sit on the bench just in between my shop and the guy selling oil. Not long he joined me and we began to discuss and laugh. E no too tey shaaa, one man parked his big daddy camry, very neat. He came, greeted my neighbor and sat down with us. Then, he began "Tolu, mo Fe Fi ejo ore e Akin sun e ni oooo" wetin Akin do bayii? asked by my neighbor.

NOTE: Akin is the younger brother to the man while Tolu who happens to be my neighbor at the shop is Akin's close pal. Presently, Akin is in United States of America and he has been there for 5years now shaaa based on info I got.

Wetin shele gangan be say, he said, his younger brother has failed to send him money that, he told him he needs money to service his carb and also do other things at home, he was really angry and paraing. He was shaa talking and saying alot of annoying things that I can't start stating verbatim.

When he left, I asked Tolu why this man dey do like say na him send him younger brother go abroad and also, why will a grown up man be waiting for someone before he can feed his family and do somethings? From info gotten from Tolu. He said I shouldn't mind him, his younger brother was the one who bought him that car not up to 6months and asked him to use it as a means of survival but baba will be busy taking women up and down with the car.

Instead of him to work, he go sleep for house till 4pm, baf komot go dey do faaji and his younger brother has warned him of his lazy attitude but the brother keeps giving him money, he has failed to be serious. I was told that, their mum stays with him too. So, every month, the brother dey send like 200k for feeding but baba go spend money on nasty things which prompted his brother to move their mum away from his house and bought him a car.

Infact, I was told that is not the first car he bought him, he once got him one small one early last year but baba gave it out to his friend claiming the car is not the type of car he wants before this recent one. Now, that one has decided not to send him money and has also refused picking his calls. Then I asked Tolu if he will relay the message to his friend then he said yes. he said " emi ma gbiyanju lati ba Akin soro sug on egbon yen o wulo rara" then he was like, he should even give him a voice note and inform him, which he did immediately. After like an hour or two, I was attending to someone at the shop when he beckon on me to come listen to Akin's response. Immediately wey I answer customer finish, naso I Waka go dia and listened to the Voice note. Akin said, his friend should stay out of this if he doesn't want their friendship to baaje because he has tried for his brother but his brother doesn't want to be responsible and he is not ready to waste his sweat. To crown it all, he said his brother wasted the money he sent to him to get a good apartment so that, him,his wife and kids and their mum can move into. Baba go collect a room and parlour but he sent him money to get three bedroom flat and when he asked him why his response was, "I needed money for something important ni" and also said "sebi ilu oyinbo lowa, send Owo gidi ko ye pretend bi eniti o SI Owo lowo e. He said that statement was annoying and since then, he has decided to never in his life send him money.
My question is, do we still have people in this present age waiting on people ni? As in ehn, to me, for someone to help you, you need help yourself nitoriwipe my people will say "omo to ba shipa la ma gbe". People are not ready to waste their time let alone wealth on person wey no serious again ooo. If you think you will continue to get their mumu button till Jesus comes, hmmmmm, one day, when that person sit down think of wetin them don do for you and realized you are just a liability, that will be then end of the story.

This is what we call the entitlement mentality and a lot of people are like thisa nd can never change cos this brother can only be angry for a while but forgive and start sending again...Look at the attitude he has, he isnt even remorseful..... should i say he is lucky?

SOPHIE'S SKINCARE CORNER
  Supplements for battling acne

Hey there, acne warriors! Let's talk about the right supplements to help you win the battle against those pesky breakouts. Remember, while supplements can be helpful, they should complement a healthy lifestyle and skincare routine.

1. **Zinc**: Zinc is a superstar when it comes to acne-fighting. It helps regulate oil production, supports the healing process of blemishes, and reduces inflammation. Look for a zinc supplement with a recommended daily dosage.

2. **Omega-3 Fatty Acids**: These healthy fats can do wonders for your skin. Omega-3s have anti-inflammatory properties that can help calm redness and irritation caused by acne.

3. **Vitamin A**: A vitamin A supplement, or beta-carotene (a precursor to vitamin A), can aid in maintaining healthy skin and promoting cell turnover. However, be cautious with high doses, as excessive vitamin A can have adverse effects.

4. **Probiotics**: Gut health and skin health are closely linked. Probiotic supplements can help balance the gut microbiome, potentially reducing inflammation and improving skin conditions like acne.

5. **Niacinamide**: This vitamin B3 derivative is known for its effectiveness in reducing acne and improving the overall appearance of the skin. You can find niacinamide supplements or use skincare products containing this powerful ingredient.

Remember, everyone's skin is unique, so it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional or dermatologist before starting any new supplement regimen. Combine these supplements with a gentle skincare routine, proper hydration, and a balanced diet for the best results. Stay consistent, be patient, and soon you'll be on your way to clearer, happier skin! You got this!

THE ENEMY WITHIN

''A Friend came to see my colleague at work yesterday, he just got married a few months ago. He said during the wedding reception a lot of people sprayed him bundles of new 500 naira and one thousand, just few people sprayed old naira note and small denomination.
At the end they used rice bags to pack the cash and handed it over to his elder sister for safe keeping, by the time he returned to his father's house from the hotel and went to the room where his elder sister who was in charge of the money and was the only one who slept in the room was to count his money he saw only old naira notes amounting to three hundred thousand.
All the new five hundred naira and bundles of one thousand had all vanished and the rice bag that they could not close at the reception venue was even tied.
He asked his elder sister and she denied taking any money. He had to let it go cos she's way older than him and he is their last born.

She stole the money, dont mind her abeg...... A lot of wedding monies always go missing and thats why you find that most times the bride puts a lot of people to be watching each other

  1. FACTS BEHIND SOME FAMOUS SONGS & MUSICIANS

The crazy story of Bill Wyman

Bill Wyman was the former bass guitarist of the best-selling British rock and roll band ‘’The Rolling Stones’’. On 2 June 1989, aged 52, Wyman married 18-year-old Mandy Smith, whom he had "fallen in love with" when she was 13 and, according to Smith, had a sexual relationship with when she was 14.

The couple separated two years later and finalized their divorce two years after that. He went on to marry his 3rd wife.

Plot twist: In 1993, Wyman's son Stephen Wyman (from his first marriage) married Patsy Smith, the 46-year-old mother of Bill's ex-wife Mandy Smith. Stephen was 30 years old at the time. Therefore, Bill became the father-in-law of his ex-mother-in-law as well as the step-grandfather of his former wife.

    3. What an entitlement mentality, instead of him to set himself up with a business, he is busy wasting money on frivolities, it will soon dawn on him, his younger brother should not send him anything again.

I also had the same experience at my traditional wedding, more than half of the one thousand naira mint notes disappear, e shocked me oh because me I dey trust people, just don't give me reason to lose that trust.

  2. Good morning bvs with great mind.

If you are below 35 years old please skip this and allow people that fall in the age bracket needed here to do the teaching. Infact, if you were not born during the time of black and white videos please stay away from this. I need submissions that comes from life's experience and not sentimental submissions please. And know that I am not here to take sides with any group. Who ever deserves the accolade at the end of the discussion should take it.

I was going through the post on 'first Nigerian movie' and I was left a bit confused after reading through comments. I am not conversant with history of such and I am not even a movie freak. I grew up knowing that 'things fall apart' by Chinue Achebe is the first Nigerian movie. I am surprised now that people are even tagging "living in bondage" amongst the first Nigerian movie. Movie of yesterday that was not even produced in black and white.

There is even another movie titled 'palava' which I heared was the first Nigerian movie, and now they are saying Hubert Ogunde produced the first Nigerian movie. I don't know the movie though.

Things fall apart is the first movie I know of during the days of black and white TV. The story of Okonkwo in "things fall apart" shows the traditions and culture of the Igbo people right? Or is that not categorized as a movie? Someone should educate me on this please and people should keep tribal sentiments out of this especially if you have no fact to backup your claims. Enough of all those Igbo Amaka..., every tribe Amaka so let's hear word. I hate blind arguments please and there is no big deal giving credit to who ever the credit is due to. The credit you give to them will not be the beginning of your misery. Somebody came claiming that they produced the first ever movie and some other people came defending with points and some people all over the comment section crying without stating any fact. Someone even said they are being hated just because someone came out to attest to the fact that they produced the first movie. I espect you to give the credit to them if you are sure you have no other prove to refute their claims with. Ah, na wa o.

Stella, abeg post🫶🙏you know say I no insult any group.

If he asks for her permission, it is okay and it is still okay that he said it here. Let people express themselves as long as they are not hurting anyone with their words.

  18. Reno Omokri still on about his talks

Look, I have a Masters in Law and am not moved by empty sophistry. I asked a question that Mr. Peter Obi has NOT answered and has tried to use semantics to dodge. My question is this:

Did Peter Obi fund the funeral of Mr Rufai Oseni's father by giving him money in cash or via electronic means, either directly or through a third party, and has that influenced Mr. Oseni's open bias in favour of Peter Obi, whereby Mr. Oseni used the AriseTV platform as a medium to campaign for and launder the image of Mr Peter Obi, and his undisguised personal animosity towards me for my refusal to support Mr Peter Obi's Presidential ambition?

Yes or no. Mr. Peter Obi, you did not respond to that question. You said you did not "bribe" Mr Rufai Oseni. However, that is not what I asked.

Did you or did you not give money, either directly or indirectly, to Mr Rufai Oseni? Yes or no? Simple.

  21. Is Reno Omokri right or wrong about Nigerians here?

We keep saying Nigerians are suffering now more than ever, And to an extent, there is an element of truth in that statement. But look at the amount of money people who are meant to be facing an all time high suffering are spending to vote for #BBNaija    housemates. Nigerians spend billions of Naira weekly for data and cable subscriptions to watch Big Brother in 2023.

Then we are spending further billions monthly on data and SMS to vote for Big Brother housemates. These billions of Naira are not going into anything productive. And yes, in an election year, politicians like myself will not mind courting votes from Big Brother adherents. But the truth is that what we consume mentally from that show does nothing positive to our mindset. Quite the opposite, it is corrupting our morals.

And the billions we spend on data, cable subscriptions and SMS voting is called disposable income in economics. And if you studied economics, you realise that hungry people have no disposable incomes.

So, I ask again, are Nigerians really suffering? Is our economy that bad? Or is it that decades of fuel and other subsidies, and paying little or no tax have just given us the mother of all entitlement mentalities?

Nigeria has its own fair share of challenges. However, when you take everything into consideration, we are a blessed country more than we are a stressed nation.

  23. You see that wedding money thing my elder sister( daughter) did the exact same thing . So during the wedding my sister (the celebrant who happens to be my immediate elder sister)called on me to pick the money alongside my other cousin. Oya ooo as we dey pick the money , my other sister (2nd daughter) came nd told me and my cousin to be giving her the money to keep so it won’t be too much for us. Innocent us carry money pack give am. After the event we all went back to the hotel my married sister and her husband sorted for everyone. My sister(the married one) called me on the phone and asked I come to her room on getting there and she was like Wetin happen that the 1k notes dey sprayed her be like 2x the 500# note but now the 1k notes no even reach 100k. I now told her how our sister said i should give her the money ooooo, she was really SAD and not necessarily angry cos omo e get as the thing be na. And this my married sister is soooooooo generous that she can help you out with money regardless of how little she has. Since that time eh I won’t lie the respect and trust I had for that my sister that did that thing went from 100-0 and I’ve made up my mind that she wouldn’t come anywhere near my money during my own cos I’ll tell everyone to stay clear, I was really pained eziokwu.

  25. Hello ihn 😘
    Good morning everyone 💕

Jewelu eyebrows tatoo,I guess you meant microblading abi. Some can be fine while some will look as if you rub charcoal on your brows,me I don't like those ones.im sure in the abroad you'll get the nice natural looking ones. I like microblading looking natural and with it,even if you didn't put makeup you'll still look fine.

Oga Pinky I can imagine the speed you use when Tolu called you to come and listen to the voicenote😂😂 The truth is there are many people like that man. Just because he's related to you,it means he owes you. Stupid entitlement mentality.

Oga,your sister stole the money. Just forget about it and move on. During ceremonies like this,a lot of stealing of money happens. A friend came back from her elder sister's trad marriage and she was telling us how much to took from the money the couple got. When I told her what she did was wrong, she said I should forget, her sister is rich and even their eldest sister took too.

Bvs I salute you all 💕
    E go surely be ✌️
