FROM TUESDAY SPONTANEOUS MORNING POST

''I don't sleep around , l have never been with a married man before, you have been calling me out on the blog, sometimes you mentioned my ID, l choose to remain silent. I do not like trouble, l don't engage myself in irrelevant stuff. I saw your comments on Body Count Post weeks ago calling me out. l didn't know you were here, welcome sir. For a long time I choose to ignore all the lies told against me on this blog by you and beloved. .

Please stop pushing me to the wall, Someone that was asking me out earlier this year, tho we started talking around December, during the festival period, l make enquiry about him from my beloved sister, now found out that he was married, l stopped communicating with him and earlier this he approached me again, and l still maintain my stand. He got the message and back off. That was the end of our discussion.

Yet everyday you keep dragging me on this matter, please don't cause me depression. Better dig more about femi and seguin. I don't do back yard business. I don't snatch people's husband or boyfriend. I was raised in a decent home and those values l can't live without them.

Who is this and what is going on? can you please send me a mail on what happened?Madam calling out someone, can you also send a mail? Oga causing problems well done oh....

PINKYS CORNER

Hmmmmmm

Once you wake up and get to your office safely and also get back home peacefully, then you need to give thanks to God and appreciate your creator for the grace and mercy bestowed upon you because the journey no be small one. Na the same journey wey some people go, wey Dem no come back. no forget say chicken no fit fly like bat

For those of us who stays in Ibadan, I'm pretty sure you might have listened to radio program and heard about the woman who was kidnapped. Anyway, I was fortunate to meet with her and she explained all that happened to us. I went with some people. She said, She Left her home going to Bodija. She boarded the normal Ibadan taxi(Micra) from her place to Bodija but all she could remember is, how she entered into the Micra and that was all. When she could open her eyes, she found herself in Ore(Benin Expressway).

She was taken into a place and she didnt know where but she saw so many people tied down but never knew what they wanted to do to them but at that point, she knew she was in Trouble and kept praying to God
until she was unconscious. After several hours which she can't even say exactly what hours it was, she was conscious again and found herself in a bush and she was alone.

I asked if she noticed anything or felt someone carrying her to that place and she said no, that, she can't really explain what happened. when she saw herself alone in that bush, she stood up and began to run so fast for her life until she got to a place where someone helped her out of the bush. She was assisted and given transportfare back to Ibadan before she went radio to tell it to the world.

My people, please, let's be vigilant, though, na God dey save person ooo but we should also play our part. I can remember when I went to Lagos last week, I was to enter a particular bus from igando to iyana iba, as I was about getting in, the two guys who were in before me stepped out for me to go in then I paused and told them I'm not going in but they were both trying to convince me that, they are alighting very soon. I just walked away and went straight into the garage and hopped into a bus on the turn.
I pray my good Lord will continue to protect and keep us safe from evil men and women.

Nah only God know the end before e reach....All these kidnappers wey don turn this thing to business must meet their waterloo

SOPHIES SKINCARE CORNER

 Hyperpigmentation in Pregnancy

Okay, ladies, let's dive a bit deeper into this hyperpigmentation thing. Those pesky dark patches can show up anywhere - your face, neck, and even your arms! But hey, it's not all bad news. They usually fade away on their own after giving birth. If you're wondering why these melasma guests decided to crash your pregnancy party, well, you can thank those pesky hormones yet again! So, no need to stress, just embrace the changes and know that you're creating a beautiful life inside you.

Now, I know you're all probably thinking, "How can I tackle this hyperpigmentation monster?" Well, fear not, dear mamas! While there's no magic cure, there are some things you can do to ease their appearance. Besides sunscreen and staying hydrated, you can try some gentle skincare products. Look for those with vitamin C or niacinamide, as they might help brighten up those dark areas. But remember, everyone's skin is unique, so consult with your healthcare provider or a dermatologist to find what works best for you. You've got this, gorgeous mamas! Keep shining, inside and out!

FROM SUNDAY CHRONICLE COMMENT SECTION

This chronicle is TONE DEAF in a country with 30k minimum wage with 80% living on less than $5/day! “Devastated” you are having twins and “blaming God”? “Envying those with two kids”? As someone with singleton & multiple, I was excited just like all my doctors were once the scan showed two even though I had a ONE year old at home so they were like triplets and I was just “adulting” in my mid 20s with a great career. Gratitude is an attitude. It’s nothing to do with hormones. What if you were expecting triplets?

My sister tried for years, died TTC and I’m still pained till date years later. Do you think most people plan for twins unless they set it up via IVF? To those defending her as not being insensitive on this very public blog where TTCs comment everyday, I’m sorry, putting this on a public blog is not the best. Nobody hopes to remain stagnant in life after birthing kids is so it’s ok and socially polite to care about your audience before using words like “devastated”, “Blame God”, “envying those with two kids”

Let me write a fictional chronicle as tone deaf but equally valid for someone somewhere …. “I’m so upset that I’m getting a Maserati because I wanted either a Ferrari or Lamborghini. I mean how on earth would I cope with driving a car like Maserati…it’s like getting a Porsche. I envy people with Ferraris, I always wanted one. It’s much cuter! I’m afraid I may not meet the standards we set for ourselves” … that’s also a valid concern but totally tone deaf, dumb even in the US with 22million or 8.8% of the population as millionaires and >30% of global $ millionaires! US Yahoo news commenters will shred such a post as seriously tone deaf because a society is as good as the “least of these”.

The truth is not politically correct. If some wrote some stuff as chronicles, it will seem like bragging, making some people question their God or cry to sleep!
God will help you deliver safely and if you still don’t want them, I know someone who had 10 IVFs (costing your annual household income plus more) before getting one & some who will gladly take care of one of them with love, the most important ingredient you need with to raise your kids as your income grows.

Can we normalize not acting/talking like women just started getting pregnant a few years ago, (it’s as old as Adam & Eve), hormones did not prompt this “chronicle”, the musings yes but writing this, no as she could have talked over with close friends, or family? Do you know how many TTCs will cry hot tears of pain to God upon reading this? I don’t mean any offense as an older mom (made ultra sensitive to TTC by my sister & many TTCs, their very deep pain & constant tears)…..she wanted hers so bad, like Rachel in the Bible. I was sensitive to not rub in what she was waiting for. It’s deep. Same way some of us women only talk about husbands with our single friends. It’s just polite not to open a wallet full of $ bills in front of someone you can’t or won’t give who is needy!

This chronicle is symptomatic of a deeper issue, we don’t care about each other’s feelings or the impact of what we do or say. It’s good to pause to think of the impact of what you write publicly on the mental health of some others. It’s not about validity alone. Poster be thankful you got 3 for 2 pregnancies without coughing out N10m for one. A salary of N4m+ in today’s Nigeria will not be your salary in 3 years time. Pray for progress, get your mom/MIL to help babysit, move temporarily to a cheaper but safe area before they are old enough to start school etc so your finances will be better. It’s a matter of reordering your priorities and gratitude. Your glass is half full.

To all the TTCs, God will wipe away your tears in Jesus name, God has not forgotten you. Poster, be grateful. “Devastated” isn’t a grateful response to such news by a married woman, it’s not rape or incest. Kids grow so fast and life gets much better if you keep working hard and praying. God never orders what he will not pay for. Love and peace✌🏾

  9. I read about the Nigerian government via ECOWAS giving an ultimatum to the coup plotters in Niger. I think I will say at this point, it's needless for Nigeria to engage or carry out this threat initiated. It will be counter productive and I fear the north will be the worse hit in it all, seeing that they share close border with the Niger territory

Don't forget over 300,000 Nigerians are refugees in Niger and more also, it's interesting to note that, the government of Niger contributed immensely in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency.

Nigerian government and ECOWAS shouldn't be deceived by the US government or UN to go all out in Niger. We saw how Ukraine were lured to their destruction by the US.

The truth is that, at the end, the only winner in this battle will be the ammunition manufacturers. Russia are throwing their support on Niger so also are the military Generals in Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso. You see, it's not going to be a walkover for the ECOWAS or anyone trying to use force other than diplomacy on this case.

I don't like military coup but one thing I see on this Niger issue is that, the citizens are happy and in support of the coup plotters. This alone speaks volume. Niger isn't Gambia and shouldn't be mistaken for it. Most of the top military personnel in Nigeria have Niger as their ancestral home even the ex president of Nigeria. So I think it won't be easy convincing them to fight against their native home.
African leaders are so corrupt and criminal minded. If democracy is really the order of the day in the continent, no General will contemplate coup by overthrowing a democratic government.

You don't want a coup in Nigeria and Africa at large and so you hurriedly created anti coup committee shortly after you emerged as the chairman. The question is, have African leaders tackle the root cause of this coup? You want a democratic countries in Africa but as leaders, you all depend and live so large on corruption and embezzlement of public funds.

Finally, caution should be taken and actions considered. Any escalation will hugely affect Nigeria and I'm afraid, same fate may befall Nigeria as well.

    1. Teejay, I don't understand your submission.

300,000 Nigerians refugees in Niger? When, how and why? Do you mean asylum seekers? I see no reason why Nigerians will opt to become refugees in another country when Nigeria is not at war. I understand armed terrors causing Displaced communities but that is why we have Internally Displaced Persons in different communities.

Maybe you want to say that about 300,000 Nigerians are illegal migrants transiting Niger to other countries and heading to Europe for better lifestyle.

Anyways, nice discussion. Dialogues and conversations are necessary and your post promote that, well done.

    2. I know that refugees arent just people fleeing war torned countries, it could be religious persecution and others but at this point, I think most of them are illegal migrants.

I support that the government of Nigeria should apply caution.

    4. Thanks KING XOXO,

Majority of them went there as a result of Boko Haram onslaught. I believe the ultimatum will end up in dialogue and negotiations and anything other than that, will escalate uncertainties on the Nigerian soil. We have Boko Haram to contend with, the kidnappers as well and the South East insecurity. I don't want to talk about the recent vandalization in the north where warehouses are been looted as a result of the hardship currently in the country..

A lot in our hands to tackle than get involve into other country's affair.

Imagine a man who threatened chaos and anarchy in the country seeking for peace in far away Niger. Isn't that an eye service?

Put your home in order first before looking at other people's home. Imagine how the Niger president described the Nigerian government as illegitimate. So also was a South African woman that granted interview last week.

You don't act hastily all because you want the West to see and legitimize your 'presidency', you walk into a trap set for you.

      Thread with caution!!!!

  10. Dear married woman expecting twins and devastated about the news, do not allow anyone like the poster up there guilt trip you about ur very valid feelings. Some people set out to give birth to just the number of kids they can confidently give birth to. They are allowed to panic and feel a certain way when it seems their plans are not working out. Poster, your feelings are valid. Very valid. Because, trust me, none of these people calling u ungrateful will drop a dime to buy diaper or pay the fees of these kids when the time comes. My husband and I have no intention of going above 2 so imagine if something happens now and I get pregnant. I will so so panic and complain and probably even take it out (mind ur business).

  17. Reno Omokri speaks on the removal of fuel subsidy and those still asking for it to continue

Before you conclude that Nigerians need fuel subsidy because petrol is too expensive, please be aware that according to Gallup Polls, Nigerians spend $2 billion (not Naira, dollars) annually gambling on sports betting, of which we only win less than $200 million. In other words, we are pudding away $1.8 billion. This is about the same amount of money our government was spending on fuel subsidy annually.

Please research it by yourself. Sixty million Nigerians spend $8 daily on pools and other forms of sports betting.

We also spend hundreds of millions of dollars annually on porn sites, and three million Nigerians invested and lost $30 million in the MMM Ponzi scheme.

If you remove emotions and study pure empirical data about how and where Nigerians spend their money, you won't even listen to the Joe Ajaero-led Nigerian Labour Congress's calls for a nationwide strike.

Yes, Nigeria is not the wealthiest country on Earth, but our major problem is priority, not poverty. And fuel subsidy removal will force us as a people to prioritise our monies to achieve better outcomes in our lives, as well as give governments at various levels an opportunity to spend public funds on infrastructure and social services, like education, that will help Nigerians make better financial decisions than spending our monies on gambling, pornography, and Ponzi schemes.

I know you are angry now. But am I lying? Truth is bitter, but better!

What do you mean by the problem of Nigeria isnt poverty but priority? How many Nigerians play betting games ?
The way you guys just throw big words up and down amazes me. This isnt the time of our parents where one newspaper column will write propaganda and everyone will believe. Now, we have educated adults who think and reason for themselves.

Tell a man who earns just N100,000 and has a family of 3, that his problem is not poverty but priority. By the time he pays rent, school fees and other basic necessities, what does he have to even pay transport to work?
Tell the keke driver, the market woman and the farmer that their problem is priority.
The guts of the government blaming citizens for the very problems the leaders createed.
The masses suffer and suffer, while the politicians live and eat fat.
A day of reckoning is coming. To both the author and the sharer of these hurtful messages.

You could not have said it better. The writer was very very insensitive and ungrateful. Some of us pointed it out but like always, the devil will always have supporters.

I have asked repeatedly on this blog if there's anything natural a mother does differently to conceive a family ttc has not done? Why then be ungrateful and insensitive rubbing it on the faces of families passing through trying times?

All families ttc deserve an apology from that poster and she should beg God for forgiveness.

    1. Which one is "the devil has supporters"? E never reach like that. We need to understand that some issues have no right or wrong.
The person complaining about the number of kids is not wrong for complaining because na weti dey pain her. The person wondering why the other person is complaining cos she ttcing is also not wrong because her own situation is paining her.
It is this same school of thought that will make people not celebrate good things happening in their lives because we are all being sensitive about the bad things happening to others. How then do we know good things actually happen and have faith that just maybe it will happen to us?
Bad things must happen, either to us or other people but we must live our lives.

    5. Her choice of words was wrong, smacked of everything ingratitude, most insensitive. Like the poster asked, what did she want ttc women to do? Insult God? Course God? To the extent of saying she was envying families or women with two children. Her complaints were over the top. Give out one twin to the orphanage or to a family that needs a child and move on after delivery.

One of her excuses is upbringing. That was lame. No be naija most people on this blog live? With 350k a month? Even if their DSTV monthly subscription is the highest bouquet, rent, a million naira yearly, they will be ok. With children still at infancy level?

As God made mistake giving her twins, she should not cry if anything happens to one of them tomorrow, God forbid that.

Everything in the Chronicle lacked compassion and empathy to families ttc.

  20. Reno Omokri shares his two coins on the removal of restrictions as it pertains to accessing student loans by PBAT

The removal of the restrictions on accessing student loans is a commendable step by President Tinubu. But more needs to be done. The loans have to start being disbursed right away, and they should be interest-free. Furthermore, the Federal Government should offer recipients of these loans the opportunity to pay them off by working for the government after graduation and NYSC until they are paid back in full. Furthermore, the Federal Government should also offer the incentive of student loan debt cancellation for any graduate who agrees to join the armed forces after graduation.

May God continue to shield us from the eyes of the evil ones, thank God for safety and journey mercies @Pinky.

Belated birthday to you @bv Mom Ella.

I had that hyperpigmentation in my last pregnancy, it was so many on my face that I started asking questions what could have caused it, over five years later, it has cleared by itself, just some black spots remaining, thanks so much @Sophie Skincare

It's no longer news that some Federal universities are already increasing their tuition with a margin of over 100k.

I feel this is a plot and ploy to bring the idea of the students loan into light...

When you use "every morning", you use present continuous form of verb instead of past tense.

  32. @ Supernova's boss story, I came late to SP and saw it, people are skeptical with married/engaged men that tell other ladies negative things about their woman, it may or may not be scope on his part but most times, men know a woman's faults and love her enough to wife her like that.

Meanwhile, the babe he is telling might be thinking there's space for her as he isn't okay with his woman, I have experienced one before and was always alert to guard against such in the future. Na so one boss use "I'm so shy and can't approach ladies" wound many ladies he worked with back then, shine ya eyes oh 👀👀...

  42. The woman that wanted 2 but having twins, please embrace with gratitude, just pray you and them turns out healthy, you can cope.
A woman came for her ultrasound check, while getting to know her, she explained to me how things are hard for them ,that they have 2 girls and just needed a baby boy to seal it.
Under my probe ,I saw a girl ,as a woman too ,I don't know how to explain but thorough check I noticed another baby, only GOD knows how I rushed and checked the gender of that one which turned out to be a boy.
I told her Madam, you are having two. She was like eh, I told her I saw one gender a boy, I didn't disclose the other.
The level of this woman happiness melted my heart, she said" GOD I asked for one ,YOU give me two, I know you got plans for me, Thank you.
I was so moved, by her next routine, I told her they boy and girl, yet she is still grateful that the giver will provide.
Please poster hold on the giver, HE has good plans for you.

  43. As someone who his wife has been TTC for over 6 years now, this type of comment makes any woman praying for fruit of the womb to ask God to remember them. The original poster has a right to complain. If she is called out for being tone deaf it is also valid.
