  1. In the last few days, I have had to skip work because my wife has malaria/typhoid/very high BP....
My wife is the strongest woman I know, and I know how angry she is, whenever she is incapacitated, because she likes to do stuff herself.
I now play the role of father, mother and care giver, and omoh, even though I explain taya, no evidence ooo. Only the children alone sef, fit make pesin dey on colos..πŸ™†..E nor easy oooo....
When you hear some of us hyping women, its not because they are flawless beings, but the GRACE and PATIENCE God gave them, especially when it comes to multi tasking, is amazing! They just have a way of making difficult things appear easy.
God abeg, restore my wife back to default setting. I hate seeing her like this. πŸ™

  2. Eternal Life In You!!
    John 3:16 NIV.

    Excerpts!!

"Christ in you means eternal life within.
Eternal life refers to the life and nature of God: that is, the God-life. Just as there is plant life and animal life, the animal life can further be categorized into human life and various other forms of biological life."

"When you were born again, a new life was introduced into your spirit, and the human life with which you were born of your earthly parents was supplanted by the life and nature of God."

"This simply implies that we’re divine beings, divine creatures, and our divine nature makes us masters over circumstances, with dominion over Satan and the world’s deplorable systems. No wonder the Apostle Peter calls us associates of a heavenly pantheon—comrades of the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4)."

    Confession!!

My divine nature has made me a master over circumstances, with dominion over the world's deplorable systems. My old life has been completely supplanted by the divine life, which is superior to sickness, disease, defeat and all depravities that affect the natural man. The nature of righteousness causes me to walk in God's perfect will today, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

    Galatians 2:20; 1 John 5:11-13 NIV; 1 John 4:17.

    7. Phoneix, 8:06 is right. I taught in a school and this girl in SSS one couldn't spell her name (Eniola).
This girl can boldly tell a male teacher that, her boyfriend's phone is better than the teacher's own.
Same girl and her two friends burnt down her former school before she came to this school I once taught. They burnt it down cos, she was scolded, I think by the proprietress. A teacher caught them in the act and you won't believe this teacher who caught them was killed. She was swelling up everyday till she died.
When a very strict teacher came to the school and didn't allow this girl misbehave in any of his classes, (e.g chew gum in class noisily, go in and out of the class, like NEPA light), she reported to her mother. I was in the office the day her mother came to tell the proprietress to warn that teacher and tell him to go and ask questions.
But pikin no fit spell her name. Even letters of the alphabet, she no know. I wonder how she got to SSS one.
I stayed there for a term and left.
Maybe, if I remember or I am less busy, I will write my experience with this same girl and post in ihn.

  14. “FIX” YOUR MIND AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE

'Fix your thoughts.' Philippians 4:8 TLB

Paul writes: 'let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about' (Philippians 4:7-8 TLB).

If you are serious about wanting a better life, you must change the way you think. The best way to stop thinking about something is simply to think about something else. When you don't enjoy a certain TV programme, what do you do? Switch channels! Does the channel you don't like no longer exist? No, it's there anytime you choose to switch back to it. Likewise, when you find yourself stuck in a repeated thought pattern that's detrimental to you - one that plays like a broken record in your mind - take action. Refuse to loan your mind to the devil for his scheme. The only place a thought can live is in your mind. The only power a thought has over you is the power you give it.

God says, 'I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life' (Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV). God gives you the options, but he won't exercise them for you. Choosing the right thought is like flipping a light switch; it dispels darkness and illuminates the room. Your most dominant thoughts will control your life, so make sure they line up with God's word. Today 'fix' your mind and change your life.

  18. I'm offering Accountancy. ❎
    I'm studying Accountancy.✅
    I'm taking Accountancy.✅

    Hey, listen!

"I'm offering Accountancy" is not Standard English. Neither is "I offer Accountancy".

    The correct expression is:
    I'm studying Accountancy. ✅
    Or
    I study Accountancy. ✅
    Or
    I'm taking Accountancy. ✅

    Let ME tell you why.

Let's check "offer" in the dictionary first.

Offer means to make available or to provide something that people need.

    What's the point here?
Students don't offer or provide courses.

    Students don't make courses available.

The university (which students attend) OFFERS courses. Indeed, it's the job of the university to offer or provide courses.

It's the students' duty to take or enroll in the courses offered or made available by the university.

    SUMMARY

    I'm offering Accountancy. ❎
    I'm studying Accountancy. ✅
    I'm taking Accountancy. ✅

    You can also say πŸ‘‡
    I'm STUDYING Sociology/ Pharmacy/ Medicine/ Mechanical Engineering.✅
    I'm TAKING Sociology/ Pharmacy/ Medicine/ Mechanical Engineering.✅

    But not πŸ‘‡
    I'm OFFERING Sociology/ Pharmacy/ Medicine/ Mechanical Engineering. ❎

  26. Origin Of Why Hausas Call Igbos Nyamiri

It is supposedly derogatory but the origin isn't really.
I spent a lot of my long vacations in the north of Nigeria growing up and asked questions about this word and this is what my relatives told me.

In northern Nigeria,it was common to see Hausas selling water on the streets,I saw that a lot in Jos.
They carried the containers tied to a wooden bar they hung on their necks

Igbos would yell out " Onye mmiri" which means " the one selling water" in order to attract the attention of the water seller
My family member had an eatery and we had an Onye Mmiri that came daily to fill up the container
Then the word Onye Mmiri i was told now became what they called their buyers and because of language, they called it Nyamiri which was the way it sounded to them.
The buyer called the seller Onye Mmiri, the seller called him nyamiri and with time Igbos and Easterners in general became known as Nyamiri.

This is a fascinating story,at least I was fascinated by it when I heard it.

    Interesting isn't it?

  31. Reno Omokri talks about African churches and one annoying they have in common

One annoying thing in African churches is the habit of asking the congregation to shout a loud amen. Do such pastors think God is deaf? "The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call."-Isaiah 59:1.

Samuel’s mother, Hannah, whispered her prayers, and God heard her. You don’t need a loud amen. You need a faithful amen.

The fastest prayer ever answered in Scripture was the prayer of the woman with the issue of blood. And she did not even talk or say amen. "She said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole."-Matthew 9:21.

And that is one thing that is missing from the typical Black church: Quiet contemplation. It is something we should consider. Most of our services are loud from start to finish. Pastor shouts. Choir shouts. Announcer shouts. Congregation shouts. In fact, I am not sure you can still call what some of these pastors do preaching. It is more accurately a performance. A lot of excitement, but not much quiet contemplation, so that the sermon sinks in, and as a result, there is minimal transformation.

If you have ever listened to Pastor Mike Murdock, he will preach and teach for an hour without raising his voice. The congregation will be absolutely silent. You can hear a pin drop. But ten years from then, you can still remember what he taught. An hour after these shouters have shouted, you would have forgotten everything they said!

    1. So true @Milkshake.. sometime last week I saw a comedy movie and the black comedian was making a joke on how different the black churches are from the whites in terms of preaching the gospel. He made an example of how ‘silent, sacred, and smooth’ it will be in a white church if they have to remind us that ‘God So Loved The World That He Gave Us His Only Begotten Son, That Whosoever Believe In Him Shall Not Die But Have Everlasting Life, in a black church he said will be the opposite… you would hear the preacher stretch the verse soooo loooong and harrrd, that sometimes you would be confused if it is actually same verse you know OR, it’s a newer version… πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚… I think the energy in black churches are so much that if it can be backed with actual faith and works can be of great change, help, personal testimony to all of us… imagine a preacher of hope, peace, victory, love ❤️ and care of God dying from Depression… one would ask, is it not same God he preached about that has the keys πŸ”‘ absolute to all the world’s problem??!

This Pastor’s death from yesterday just reminded me once again of Osinachi, one of the greatest short lived Nigerian gospel artist who’s music mostly was about the power of our Lord, through her music lives were changed but sadly, she (the singer) had less or even no understanding or faith in things she sang about hence died as a result of Domestic violence.

I feel really sad for us sometimes, I am very sure there are continents somewhere with people being jealous of us and wishing they have half the energy as we do..
      my one cent though!!

  37. Not some person being called an "over sabi" the other time and she flared up
Why do you have to be that pained if what they said isn't true though?
