DeleteFew days ago, a young lady in her early twenties was asking after one of the guys that's working with me. ''Bro, good morning, what of that brother wey dey follow you, the fair one way no too tall?'' .
ReplyDeleteShe had asked me this question thrice in a week and when I asked if there's any issue, she would say no, that's she just checking up on him. I asked my boy, giving him the description of the lady asking after him if there's an issue. He said not at all. I said okay, just that she won't stop asking after you whenever she sees me.
So I later discovered through another of my boy who told me that, the said guy the young lady is always asking after, promised giving her N5,000 if they make out.(sex) So the guy hasn't show up ever since then for them to carry out the act and I guess the lady needed the money badly.
From the info I later got, that same guy had gbenshed the friend of the young lady asking after him and settled her, hence this lady is now trying to get along as well since agreement has been reached already.
Haven known the reason she has been asking, I wanted to caution her to stop asking me but a part in me says I shouldn't be hard but cool on her since she often sound respectful when asking.
Yesterday, I was about going out when she approached me and pleaded if I can give her his number that there's something she wants to enquire from him. I told her I will only call him and give her the phone so they can talk. Unfortunately, the number was switched off.
While we were trying the line, a lady who prepares noodles closer to my house approached us and asked if she will make noodles for me. I told her I'm almost on my way out. The young lady immediately requested that she will eat, saying she's so hungry. So I gave the noodles woman a thousand naira to prepare for her and then give her the balance of N300 hundred. I now know why she has been looking for my boy and I understand what brokenness can do.
As I was about leaving, I noticed the young lady started pleading to the woman to give her the money so she can buy from the store and prepare at home so she can save more balance from the money but the woman refused and insisted she will give her what was paid for.
I came back and met them and asked what's the matter? The young girl sincerely opened up to me what she told her but the woman refused. So I told the woman to give me the balance of N300 and then prepare the noodles and give to my cousin at home. I called my cousin and informed him. I brought out another N1,000 and gave to the girl. She thanked me and left happily.
When I met my boy, he was shocked when I brought the discussion to him and he was about to laugh it off but when he saw I wasn't wearing a friendly look, he comported himself. I asked him, if his younger sister was treated this way, how would he had felt? Would he be happy if he found out a man wants to sleep with his younger sister cos of N5,000? He was silent and couldn't answer.
I warned him to desist from anything that will tarnish the brand we're trying to create and build if he still wants to continue working with us.
This young girl live few building closer to me and I don't want her continuous coming to me. How best can I express that to her without making her feel bad? I don't even want to ask anything about her before the sob story thing will hit me. I no too get power and strength for emotional things.

I was very close with my best friend in school that we became family friends, when she had hand and appendix surgery, I undertook the arduous task of bathing her, doing her assignments, laundry including washing undies lol, she couldn't bend nor walk for some time, things I didn't do for my sister. She.got married and relocated to Canada about 20 years ago, we do chat regularly and discuss about family, and business.
I was nonplussed when our third friend called me last week that she came to Nigeria for just two weeks, she even went to visit her and she didn't want any of her friends to know she is around wao! such is life! She was aware I lost my mum and my brother within a year and 6 months, though she wasn't around then, I don't know what to think, but while she was away, whenever she needs school result or anything, she will call me and I will do it for her....once again, such is life! I just acted like nothing.

Good morning everyone, happy Sunday. I want to thank everyone who prayed for me some times ago when I said my dad was sick. We all did our very best to save him since January that this illness started but he finally went to be with the lord.

MEMORISE VERSE: For the flesh lusteth against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Galatians 5:17
READ: Romans 8:1-13
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

MESSAGE
The main goal in increasing our spiritual capacity is to be more spiritually-minded; to be more like Jesus and less like our default human nature.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Romans 8:7
The first thing you must do is to surrender your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, be baptized by immersion, signifying your death to the flesh and a new life in Jesus. After this, you seek to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and invite Him to dwell in you and take control of your life.
Once the above steps are taken, you must begin to do less of the things your flesh wants you to do. Don't let your flesh control you. You cannot be spending all your free time on social media, attending parties or eating as often as you like. If you give your flesh everything it asks for, you will remain under its control and this can only lead to eternal damnation. Paul said in Acts 17:28 that it is in Jesus that we believers live, move and have our being. That must be your testimony too. You also need the Holy Spirit to keep the flesh under control. You are not strong enough to deal with the flesh by yourself (Romans 8:13).
To continue to grow your spiritual capacity, you must truly pray without ceasing, as 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says. If you are not willing to pray consistently and fervently at all times, you are not yet willing to increase your spiritual capacity. When you cannot pray in understanding, switch to praying in the Spirit. Fasting and studying the word of God daily must also become your lifestyle Jeremiah 15:16). You must also seek to hear God at all times. Ask Him questions about things you don't understand in the Scriptures.
These steps may appear simple and straight forward, but many people find it difficult to do them consistently.

ReplyDeleteThe request by President Tinubu to the Senate for military intervention in Niger Republic should not have been made public. Not by the Executive or the Legislature. Making it public was a mistake. Except it was done deliberately to intimidate the junta in Niger Republic. If not, it should have been a secret memo, which the Senate should have deliberated on secretly.
We do not pray for war, and we should do everything to avert it. It is better to strangulate the Nigerien putschists economically until they restore the democratically elected President. The General who seized power should also be offered amnesty if he returns what he stole to the rightful owner. And if he wishes, he should be free to contest as President in the next election in that country.
But war should be a last resort. And if we must resort to war, we should have a UN mandate, and the international community should pay for the war.
But whatever decision Nigeria takes, if war results, every Nigerian, including the Arewa Consultative Forum, and opposition parties, must close ranks and support our government. But May it never get to that. In Yeshua's Name, we pray.
