Presdient Tinubu's Delegation Led By Ex-Emir Of Kano Meets Niger Republic Coup Leader

President Bola Tinubu's delegation led by ex-Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, on Wednesday, August 9 2023 met with the Niger Republic coup leader, General Abdourahmane Tchiani, in Niamey, the capital city, to discuss the current political impasse occasioned by the recent coup in the country.

The meeting is after the Economic Community of West African States' seven-day ultimatum to the military junta to restore ousted President Muhammed Bazoum to office expired on Sunday.

  1. I just hope something reasonable comes out of it this time around
A transitional government be fine too
What's the need to keep living like people from the stone ages in the name of dictatorship or military government?

    1. If I was the Niger General, I'll ask delegates from Nigeria if they are that shameless to leave the election petition and issues facing their own government and are coming to do oversabi in another country's own..

I will give them a warm welcome, refreshments and maybe some nices chics to help them relax, then send them back home with the message that I can't be having negotiation with a government which it's legitimacy is still in question

  6. I keep laughing at the simplicity of some of our people that are supporting this military coup. Some are even wishing it should happen in Nigeria just because they don't like Tinubu.
They are hoping the military will take over, maybe organise elections in 6months, and a certain candidate will be victorious. It is very okay to dream,
A quick reminder, when Buhari overthrew Shagari in 1983, some opposition supporters were rejoicing but Babangida later overthrew Buhari and that military experiment took a total of 10years when we had the June 12, 1993, elections, Awolowo or Zik did not become president till they died.
When Abacha overthrew Shonekan in Nov 1993, a lot of Abiola supporters imagined that Abacha would hand over to Abiola in a few months. The military stayed in power for another 6years until the May 1999 elections that brought in President Obasanjo
MKO Abiola remained popular but never became Head of State.
These military guys are no Saints and are also corrupt, let's be careful what we wish for

    1. Leave people allergic to history to continue to wish upon themselves, an impossibility, by the grace of God. They don't know the names of journalists that were bombed or went missing till today. They know not of the torture faced by people of every walk of life just by speaking. They can't even look at Chad, Mali and others who have sunk deeper into problems. They want gain but have no interest in pain, shopping for magic.

After failing to apply the subsidized education they received, they want to destroy Nigeria because the intervention promised by every candidate running (PMS subsidy removal) had to be done so we can migrate to CNG which we should have been using since 1999, the CNG Buhari and Ooni of Ife begged Nigerians to consider so that we don't end up continuing to weaken our currency by borrowing, making growth impossible. All these people want is to be able to buy yam at 200 hundred naira and change 1 dollar to one naira so they can throw away their money buying what they failed to produce. No understanding of demand or supply. No understanding as to the pricing of commodities, no insight into supply chain economics. All they know is that the vote they spared 6 hours for should solve problems that have endured for over 60 years as Obi has turned Awka to Dubai and New York all at once and all Nigerians are migrating to live there.

Imagine people who have not filed a Kobo in taxes for years and decades or those whose yearly taxes amount to less than 500k falling for promises of a man who was legally robbing them to import rich tea biscuits to enrich himself. When will truth be palatable to adult Nigerians? When will basic economics be understandable to them? It's almost like when you're playing monopoly and the he kid clearly losing wants to scatter the board.

  8. Abeg this Sanusi man he is no more the Emir of Kano so why is he still dressing this way? Is he gonna be dressing like this forever? Such a fine clean man😘

  9. Sanusi, in my view, may not have the tact of diplomacy needed in this situation, hence why BAT sent the sultan of Sokoto in the official delegation. Sanusi's visit is likely private.
