Nigerian Military Says There Is No Planned Coup Against President Tinubus Govt...

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has insisted that the military is happy and there are no plans for a coup in Nigeria.

Speaking on Friday, the DHQ Director, Defence Information, Tukur Gusau, frowned at reports claiming there were welfare issues within the armed forces of Nigeria.
Gusau added that the report in circulation is calling on the military to interfere in the democracy of the country.
“We wish to state unequivocally that the military is happy and better under democracy and will not get involved in any act to sabotage the hard-earned democracy in our country.

“The AFN, under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, General CG Musa, is determined to ensure complete subordination of the Armed Forces to constitutional authority under His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and will not be distracted from its roles that are well defined in the 1999 constitution (as amended),” the statement reads.

    1. The dangerous ignorance of you obidients will not sink Nigeria. Ask knowledgeable people what a coup really means and what military rule will mean for people like you and the 2nd runner up who continues to deceive you.

    2. 09:28, you have hit the nail on the head.

They should ask the Abiola family who were sponsoring coups in Nigeria , what is left of them today.

The same coup that Abiola ordered last was what consumed him. Those who couldn't wait for a change in government for four years lost their lives, families , businesses and freedom when the law automatically went out the window. These ljiers actually think the internet will be what it is now under a military government. They think their comments won't be vetted and then summoned to police stations or gone missing.

What happens when they don't like the military rule? They think it would be as easy as asking for another coup or elections? Comedians allergic to history. Ask about the youth in khaki were in charge and you will understand that the worst civilian government is far better than the best authoritarian government.

  3. President is scared that what happened in Niger may repeat itself here hence he is sending a strong warning to Niger and Nigeria military.

Maybe , he is right though but agitating for a war is not the best thing.
