Fuel is ours and we are allowing dollar to influence us. Perents begging Tinubu, he will not hear bc of the benefits he derived from this. Okay let me ask, what is the benefit of the poor masses in this fuel subsidy matter. Instead is our money they are still collecting to enrich their families.
ReplyDeleteFuel is not"ours". Its a commodity which costs money to source, transfer, purify etc. Oil Wells are personal properties and oil companies private businesses looking to make profit. If Nigeria wants to get a single drop, they have to pay or end up with non-functioning system like the current 3 refineries.
DeleteWe have to endure till we can move to CNG which is cheaper and wears less on engines.
Those of us who are not from oil producing communities have no actual right to claim ownership of the oil being gotten from the communities at serious irreparable cost ro their lives and livelihoods. The free lunch is over. Over 30 states and Abuja cannot be expecting free budgets every year whole producing nothing of note for the past 60 years. Its now legal for each state to produce their own power and begin producing their own wealth, I stead of continuing to cheat the poor in oil producing communities who are unable to farm or fish or even get any direct benefit from the oil that continues to be a nightmare for them. At least, with gas, cost of living is cheaper and they will have less acid rain.
Renewed shege banza!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can't give what you don't have.
