Movie Producer Austin Faani Says A Pastor Told Him Kill Goats To Cure Wife's Mental illness

Nollywood Movie Producer Austin Faani says religion has done more harm than good in Africa and recounted his experience to back up why he said it..

Austin who delivered a speech at an Outreach that focuses on mental illness,  recounted how a pastor deceived him into sacrificing goats in a bid to heal his wife.
He said: “I’m a very religious person but I believe religion has done more harm to Africans than anything else.
“In November 2012, I took her to a church because I told the pastor that my father-in-law killed a lot of cows for her, he said I should kill something for her. So I ran to Abraka market and bought a big goat for her but at the end of the day, the same thing kept happening to her.”

He is Married to popular Nollywood Asaba based actress Chacha Eke

    3. Winnie the Pooh, when you become an adult, and associate with fellow adults you will find out that some situations for the sake of a loved one or even yourself will take you where you do not know.
It's so easy to type absolute nonsense when ignorant.

  3. Many are dealing with mental illness .one thing is that they are not aware of their behavior. You see them in the street walking and talking rubbish when nobody talks to them. Someone here wakes early in the morning everyday and start calling people's name and their family members, cooking up lies to deceive people and still claiming he is okay.

    2. So the God that still collects goat and cow from Jews is spiritual? Or is only transfer that your own God knows as provocative sacrifice?

That was not a true pastor. Who called him? Maybe he called himself. At no time did Jesus ask people to bring animals to be healed. And He is our example.

But God bless you for standing by your wife. May she be totally healed

  10. I thought they said is postpartum depression. Everything is not spiritual. Once a problem like this comes, different suggestions and advice will be coming from people. They should be careful.

  12. If you are saying religion changed your thought processes and made you foolish then say that. Admit the deficit in your own self. Mental illness is still illness, instead of you taking your wife in for psychiatric care you decided that spilling the blood of innocent animals that you can’t even eat was the way forward. How anyone can knowingly just kill an animal for no real reason is beyond me. Animals that have never had any contact with your wife, nor is the cause of her malaise, just living the life they were granted and you took it upon yourself to end those creatures lives. Is it religion or you? Mtsscchhwww

    1. It is not religion. It is him! They don't read and study their bible instead they wait for a pastor to read and interpret to them, that is why they can be easily swayed by any wind of doctrine.
