Hon (Prince) Johnson Erijo, noted that most marriages had crashed because the men entangled themselves in unsustainable lifestyles while courting their proposed wives, while the ladies often pretended to be good wife materials, only to be faced with the realities of marital life soon after saying I do.
The Governor said understanding marriage as a lifetime adventure was necessary for both man and wife, pointing out that God instituted marriage not only for procreation, but also for couples to be each other’s companion in every circumstance.
He congratulated the newly wed for consummating their relationship and urged them to always reflect on what attracted them to each other whenever faced with the trials of marriage, adding that they should learn to handle marital issues without involving the third party, not even their parents.
