Couch Convo - A Fatherhood Memo To Men..

How many men can do this these days?

  1. So carrying a baby on the back is now a measure to being a good father?
    What a wow!
This is one of the manipulative politics women play and now equates mother's love to Christ love for us.
I am a father and I can't carry a baby at back like that, but I can carry a baby in my arms for hour's. I can cuddle a baby to sleep and still carry the baby for how long he/she sleeps.
So, carry a baby on the back like that is nothing special. What matters is not how you carry the baby but how you are able to keep the baby calm and comfortable.
You women should stop with all those manipulative antics.

    3. My husband even Carrie’s baby more than I do. Except if he is not around, that’s when you see me trying. When it comes to circumcising babies, given them injections or anything that will make the children cry, he never tries to be there otherwise he will start crying with them. He tried it once, the nurse had to call me to come and hold the baby myself. Even my father in law is more concerned when it comes to everyone in the house than my mum in-law. No one loves their child less, just that we show it in different ways.

Read somewhere that women carry babies for 9 months and men carry them for life.
Na when I become Papa of baby I understand.

Stella, men carry their babies as much as if not more than women o.

Carrying of a child is the same whether on the body, in arms, on shoulders, etc. Men do all in public.

Far back as 1976, there was a man who use to carry his baby as in the picture while going about his daily business of horological business in my home town in Isoko, Delta State. I guess his wife was a teacher or a ministry worker then. He worked from home and nursed his babies while she was at work.

  2. Men are not designed to even back babies. How many women can even back a child.

A Father can bond, love, care for his child in various ways. There is no manual.

If he backs the child and the baby falls off nko? Is it by backing?

  3. Some men still do this, though very few. I know of a man who uses baby carrier to carry his daughter to school everyday because his wife is pregnant & he doesn't want to stress her.
