    5. Addiction to nzu, charcoal, sand, iceblock are signs of iron deficiency most likely caused by fibroids. I was addicted to all these things for four years, my stomach was hard and big and was getting bigger, with heavy and prolonged menstrual flow. I went for fibroids operation last year, 52 different sizes of fibroids were removed, I was lucky to still have my womb. The fibroids were so large, the doctors said that they were the size of a 32 weeks pregnancy. When I came home, neighbors trooped in to congratulate me thinking I was pregnant and just gave birth to a baby. The embarrassment...
Long story short, all my addictions to fine sand, iceblock, charcoal and nzu stopped immediately, infact I detest them now. Another good news, my figure eight is back and better because I now add weight at the right places and stomach as flat as a table top. I believe that God showed me mercy because the transformation in my body, health and confidence are proofs of God's love, mercy, favour and intervention.

  3. I was addicted to it while pregnant and my baby came out looking malnourished, very tiny and wrinkly...I don't know if that had affected her in anyway. She is still tiny and wrinkly at 2years plus.I have fed and fed and fed yet nothing..my baby looks like an old woman and its affected my esteem cos anytime I go out with her, people wudnt stop staring and making snide remarks...September is here already and I dread taking her to school as I'm 100 percent sure she is going to be bullied for her looks...but she's so smart knows her letters and numbers

    1. Yeah, it did.

It depleted the nourishment that your baby should have gotten in utero.

Pregnancy is a very very delicate time. You must study what goes through your lips, vagina, ears, eyes and mind. ALL pathways can affect a child.

What is the colour of her teeth if I may ask?

There is a number of years before the skins renews completely, so don't give up hope.

    2. You should be her greatest cheerleader, whether it's cheering her for her looks or for her brains. I was born chubby, they called me Bournvita when I was a baby cos of how fat I was. But I grew up and became slim, have remained so. What am I saying? Change is constant.

    3. @anon.14:41...her teeth were white when they were coming out, they started changing colour from when she clocked a year old..they are brownish now....pls may I know why you asked?

    4. Chaii, I feel so sorry for you. Can you let her stay an extra year at home so you can give her the TLC she requires? Her current looks should improve with time, plus there's no law a kid has to start school by 2.
And lastly, do you take her to see a paediatrician? If you have not been doing that, kindly start now because it might not even be what you think, it could be something else affecting her.

    5. If your baby comes out wrinkly, you should use Olive oil and the skin will peel off to reveal new skin. The reason your baby came out wrinkly is because your amniotic fluid must have leaked for a while.

  11. This ulo is a killer and highly addicted. I was so addicted to it for years until i went for fibroid surgery. The doctor could not remove some of the fibroid because some of my intestines were gummed together. It was only God that saved me from them not mistakenly cutting my intestines off. i know the adnominal pains i went though. As soon i left that hospital, i hated ulo with passion.
If you are addicted to it, stop it to avoid future intestinal diseases that could lead to cancer.

  12. Do you know how this is produced? It is produced from the well, dunged well. Its more of salty sand. Then, molded and allow to sun dry. Practically you're eating sand mixed with salt. Imagine that in your stomach.

  13. I read a local woman was once addicted to it that if none was available, she would be licking mud houses around her.

  16. My addiction was broken 12 years ago when I had severe constipation. I couldn't poo and was in severe pains. The poo was manually extracted and was sand/stone filled. It sounded like pebbles 😭.After that experience, I hated that nzu with passion.

  17. I was once addicted to it. The very flat ones... Kia!

When I travelled for youth service all I could think of was to come back to the east and eat it. That was the beginning of my salvation... I thought!

When I came back, I continued from where I stopped until I took in and had my first miscarriage, in fact the baby died in the womb, I don't know if it was the cause but I know I ate it the day I noticed my pregnancy symptoms suddenly stopped. That was the end of it. That experience cured the addiction permanently.

For 9 good years I have never eaten any of it again.

    Engraced.
