Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative...

 Hmmm...

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
WORRIED MEAT LOVER

Good Day...I'm writing this chronicle because I'm getting tired myself...

I love meat a lot. I mean I don't care about people in the house ...I can eat all the meat in one sitting. My mum use to warn me that when I get married I don't mind eating all the meat by just trying to know..if its tender or not.
Now its happening. If we buy chicken and cook it, after frying hubby takes his own and leaves me with the rest to do as I like.

Its funny and serious at the same time because i can use a drink and eat the meat and not bother about the real food. He sees me, and just passes...

In my parent's house..if the meat in the pot is missing they already know who to call as a matter fact I started buying in large quantities to reduce the complains and it worked..like visitors will come and visit us..I will have to discipline myself if not I don't mind not giving them Chai God...its getting serious...

How do I curb my love for meat like this?

This was really annoying to read, so at your age you dont have self control?Plese do better!Make it a point of duty to accountable for whatever goes into your mouth,..
I dont even know what to say, you are a meat thief....

  3. Just know that red meat is really bad considering the fat and LDL (cholesterol) in it. It's also one of the major causes of fibroids in women.
Curb your excessive love for meat 🍖, let the health implications spur you to dump it and seek for healthier options.

  4. You can discipline yourself if you truly want to do that, I love nzu that I cannot do without it. My bag, drawer or hand bags always have nzu but when I saw that the consequences of it was more than the pleasure I was getting, I decided to stop it. By my self I stopped buying it, before you know it I have forgotten about it.

If I see it right now, I do not feel anything about it. You can do it if only you will discipline yourself. Wishing you all the very best.

    1. You were iron deficient

    2. She was not iron deficient.
Pica (craving for non-food substances with no nutritional value) can sometimes be due to iron deficiency but not always. There are other causes.
Nzu is actually regarded as a snack of sorts in some cultures so depending on whom you ask it may or may not be regarded as pica. Asides that, the taste of nzu is quite addictive once you start so no, liking it is not usually due to iron deficiency. I remember giving my Yoruba roommate nzu one day and she immediately acquired a taste for it, every time I came back from market, she would ask if I bought nzu. It almost became an addiction and just like Excited courtesy, we had to make concerted efforts not to buy it whenever we saw it, only then we’re we able to overcome the craving. None of us were iron deficient, we just loved the taste.

  5. I’m not seeing the problem
You’re eating what you like and you can afford it
In my house, I eat all the groundnut
If you need to save some then hide it in your room or office and I won’t touch
On a more serious note, if you’re really tempted by a particular food best is to keep it away. Make a point too cook only a little at a time so when you eat now, you have to make again before you can eat more

I can cook 10kg of meat at once and eat slowly over time but I can’t buy ten bottles of groundnut at once cause I will keep eating till all are gone
So know your soft spot and plan ahead
Good luck and God bless your husband for looking away cause not everything is worth fighting over

  6. Poster I don’t have advice on this but let me tell you how to train your kids in this regard. Please when you give them food do not add meat until they finish their food. Most times they’re already satisfied and won’t care for the meat. I no send meat because that was how my mum trained me, I’m training my own like that and it’s working perfectly.

    1. But it’s not just about fun of meat
Meat does contain nutrients that are generally better than carbs

      Delete
    2. That was poverty 'training' you, nothing else.
Nothing to be proud of and definitely not something you should proudly bequeath to your children.
There is nothing so spectacular in meat that it should be withheld from food or seen like a trophy inside food unless ofcourse you grew up lacking

    3. To think my kid does not and will not eat eat meat (beef, chicken, turkey, fish), no matter how much you beg...

      Delete
    4. Anonymous did I ask her not to give her children meat? I only said she should give them food FIRST. If you give them food with meat they will eat meat first and probably end up not eating the food. I serve food first then meat comes after. And most times she doesn’t eat the meat cos she’s already satisfied. My daughter no send meat just like me.
I didn’t come from a wealthy home but my father was a butcher. Meat has never been a problem in my home so keep your poverty yen yen yen to yourself.

    5. Please don’t train kids like this. Generally, in a meal, protein and vegetables ought to be in larger quantity than carbs. It is poverty in Nigeria that makes us see meat as something big.
Where I am, they call food ‘Chicken and a side of rice’, ‘Fish and a side of chips’,… that is to say protein is the main dish and carbs is the accompaniment. The opposite is true in Nigeria… ‘rice and beef’, ‘chips and chicken’

      Delete
    6. Fan, meat is food so saying your serve her food first is part of the problem

    7. 17:27 Leave them to be arguing with themselves. Again you honestly can't blame them. Indoctrination is deep and poverty is a level of trauma impossible to fully heal from.
It is well with all of us.

  7. Try and work on your meat appetite. It is UNHEALTHY and embarrassing.
Imagine people hiding meat once they sight you 🤷🏿‍♀️(run go hide that meat she dey gate)
Please try and give meat a break. Feast on vegetables instead.

  11. I really don’t know what to say. Curb your love of meat, eating so much meat can cause you to smell bad, especially if you live in a hot place. Try to incorporate more veggies and fruits, drinking herbal teas and lemon water, and exercise. If you plan to have children one day they deserve a mother who smells good, God forbid other children make fun of them all because you insist on eating excess meat and nothing else, moving through life smelly. Stop!

  12. You need to make a conscious decision and stand by it. It may be hard in the beginning but if you are consistent, you will overcome.

  13. Buy a very large portion of meat/chicken. Eat it with drink to your satisfaction. Do this everyday. By the time you get to the 3rd or 4th day, you will get tired of meat.
I used to be like you until i started eating a whole chicken during my school days. I got tired. And yes, I still love meat bt it doesn’t freak me anymore.

  14. Stella is not harsh. I knew someone like this. I couldn't stand her after a while and severed the friendship.

She pleaded with me to let her live in my house till she sorted out her employment issues. If you buy her burger she would waste it and eat only the meat while she throw everything away

If you cook and she dishes her food she would take small plate of rice fit for a 2years old and pack all the meat. Then she would go back to the pot to dish a small plate of rice so she can pack all the meat again the second time.

One day I bought a chicken lap and did not want it to look like I was sharing it because I bought it with my money so I told her to share it and take hers that when I am done I will come and take mine. Only for me to go the fridge the next day and see that she left the thin legs for me and hate the larger lap. There was no meat again except the one she left for me so I decided to eat it in the morning with the leftover rice but she came again to beg that I give her out of it after she had eaten her own the night before. I told her , No! and she started squeezing face and keeping malice with me immediately I gave her out of it before she wound me because of meat.

If you buy sharwama she would pack everything inside and throw the rest away. I hope you were not her. You better change your ways. Nawa for you
Eating all the meat like you are the only one at home. 😏

    3. She's probably married to someone now, and continuing with the bad habit.
If the man comes tomorrow to complain, y'all will accuse him of being a broke ass, who is looking for excuses to quit his marriage. You will not even address the root cause of the problem.
Sadly, these and more are the realities of many Nigerian husbands. But no! On social media, any problem in the house is always the man's fault.
      It is well with husbands.

Poster too much of everything is bad, you need to find a way to discipline yourself, make your husband your accountability partner, once you've eaten your quota for the day, he shouldn't allow you take more meat even if the urge wants to kill you, try it for a month and you're on your way to permanent freedom if you are able to make it to the 1 month mark.

    2. The habit is medically regarded as dangerous on the long run. Especially if she does not stop it before the age of 40+ when the habit has its most damaging effect. In one case, the Doctors said it tipped a man towards colon cancer.

  25. Poster, research canivore diet. If you have the means, then by all means use meat as your primary source of food. What you need to do is be considerate of others, don't allow your love for meat deprive others of it. Buy enough to satisfy you and them. If you don't have the money to support this diet, then you have to work on your appetite for meat.

  29. Make I go pick meat 🍖 from stew, poster we are on the same boat! Meat is a carnivore diet. Back in the US, you have only meat as food with water or drink! Nothing wrong with you poster.
Is poverty mentality that makes people see it as a problem.
Meat and eggs are very healthy diets! The person above, that said they are on a vegetable diet! Kpele! If you don't have the necessary protein intake you can just collapse one day!
Doctors that know what they are doing recommend carnivore diet sef.
Anything fish, meat , seafood I eat excessively! Reducing carbohydrates. I eat more of legumes and vegetables.
