“Starting from August 31, 2023, the Central Bank of Nigeria has launched the Price Verification System (PVS), which is a new way of checking the prices of goods before importing them.
This means that anyone who wants to bring goods into the country needs to use this system to get a Price Verification Report. This report is now required to complete a Form M, which is a document needed for importing goods.
If you don't follow this new rule and try to bring in goods without the Price Verification Report, there will be consequences.
All banks and businesses involved in importing goods should make sure to follow this new process and let their customers know about it.
If anyone doesn't follow these rules, they will face penalties. Make sure to follow these new rules to avoid any problems.”
