    1. May all shades win. May competency and best fit for the role be the deciding factor. Omowunmi you are a fine actress.

    2. Coming for her won't change the truth.

    3. She said yellow ladies used to get all the roles. Now brown skin ladies are getting all the roles.

    4. What she said is nothing but the truth. There is this dark skinned actress that was a really great actress IMO but only got minor roles which she executed flawlessly. The day I saw her at GTB, my mouth almost dropped open. She had bleached! It paid off though because I started seeing her in lead roles.

    1. I beg to disagree.

Even at the end of the film "Shanty Town", she moderated beyond her age while introducing RMD.

      I was gobsmocked.

    Very myopic POV

    1. Her view isn't myopic.

Watch Tinsel, the most recent episodes to see.
As small a crew as The Johnsons cast is 90% of them were bleaching.
      Very irritating"yallow" men especially.๐Ÿ™„

  6. Well, there may be some truth to her statement. Nadia Buari, Rukky Sanda, and Juliet Imbrahim were some of the worst actresses at the height of their careers and despite their horrid lack of skills they got role after role, won awards and were legitimized as solid actresses and everyone knew they sucked. Rukky perhaps was the more bearable of this group, and as long as they have been in the industry they haven’t improved much. Even Rihanna learned to sing eventually, they still butchering roles…Mtsscchhwww

    1. Haa! I don’t know about Riley being bearable oh… these people you mentioned , I didn’t even use to bother with their movies. Another one is Mimi Orjiekwe, I used to be so amazed at how an actress can be so terrible at acting

  7. How?
    Genevieve is yellow
    Ini Edo is yellow
Uche Obi former Osotule is yellow
    Uche Jombo is yellow
    Stephanie Okereke is yellow
    Funke Akindele is yellow
    Omoni Oboli is yellow
    Kate henshaw is yellow
    Lillian Esoro is yellow
    Bisola is yellow

Nse Ikpe is very very yellow
Bimbo Ademoye is very very yellow
Nancy Isime is very very yellow
Sharon Ooja is very very yellow

Every day , someone with low self esteem will start unnecessary division.

Brown skin girls were always recognised in Nollywood. Maybe Hollywood or bollywood?
Name top 10 Nollywood stars, 7 of them are dark-skinned or brown skinned as she insinuated.

Meanwhile whether you are 'yellow', dark-skinned or brownskinned, we are all categorised as brownskin in Hollywood.

    1. Go back and read what you wrote. What roles was Funke getting before she did the Jennifer movie and was smart enough to capitalize on it and started producing her own movies? What year did Omoni enter the industry? How many lead roles did she get before she also started producing her own movies? How many Waka pass did Bisola do? As good as she is, is it not now that she is really getting key jobs?
Ini toned her skin, Lilian did same, etc.

    2. You may choose not to accept it but industry insiders know it. I recall an MBI interview where Genevieve alluded to this same thing (Emmanuel interviewed her, can't remember his last name). Fairer skinned actresses get more attention for sure. So the darker skinned actresses often times have to bring more to the table e.g talent, charisma, star quality, a certain je na said quoi.. hence the number of enduring brown skinned actresses u listed up there. It is what it is.

    3. Is Jackie Appiah fair?

Name one popular light skinned actress asides from Rita Dominic, Nadia Buari and Omotola.

Stop this rubbish. I have named several ones that are dark skinned. Nollywood actually prefers darker skinned actresses.
