Actress Eniola Badmus Explains Why She Sued Lady Who Defamed Her Online

Nollywood Actress Eniola Badmus made a post on Instagram to explain why took action against the lady who labelled her a Pimp ...She also talked about how she was body shamed and bullied by internet trolls .....

She posted..
''I will like to address an issue that has been plaguing social media platforms and online communities: defamatory statements about me.
How do you wake up, go on social media and pull people down by making false/negative comments about them and still expect mercy from God? This is someone you do not even know! Common!

You have no single fact/evidence but will sit behind your phones and make a smooth video defaming my personality. Why?

When I was a plus size, it was the height of body shaming, now on my fitness journey, same negative comments, when I made my political choice, same negatives. Guys, let people live their lives and respect them for it. Some of us have muscle to keep it going, how about those that can't and silently struggle with depression and low self-esteem?

We celebrities are human, we have blood running through our veins like you. No one judges your choice or approach to life in your corner, so why judge me on personal and human actions?

More often than not, I ignore these comments or don't even bother reading them but sometimes, it hits badly and you truly and really want to set an example.

I am aware that defamation is a serious matter and can have severe consequences, both legally and socially. It is essential to recognize the impact of our words on others and the responsibilities that come with expressing our opinions publicly. While freedom of speech is a fundamental right, I think it should be exercised responsibly and with consideration for the potential harm it may cause.
Above all let’s spread love ❤️
Love you guys.''

  4. I have such toxic dirty mindsets around. Like how someone will wake up early everyday ,be checking those that mind their business. What they don't understand, they give it their own negative explanation. Some of them are shameless men that rub shoulder with women.
As in, all they do all day is to stay online to run others down.
Can It be caused by frustration , idleness or they are just dark souls in nature?

The same energy you had in arresting her is the same energy you should have in understanding that you owe no one an explanation for your actions especially if you are innocent of such allegations.
Learn from your colleagues Funke, Rita and Genevieve. Silence is a golden maturity. πŸ˜‘ just saying!

  9. Did you put her on Eniola Badmus TV? If you did, do you know she can sue you and claim you did that without her consent and got viewership from this singular act. If you even claim you got her consent, a good lawyer can say you did it out of duress due to the case against her.

I would always advise women that education is your greatest weapon in life, research and research. I don't mean graduating from school. Study and study. This tiktok girl was wrong defaming her because no one deserves that but she has rights too.

  12. The energy she used in taking the lady to court should also be channeled to a gym. Fat is fat. Which kind body shaming nonsense? Oya make we clap for her say she fat.

  13. Anything about "body shaming" is rich coming from the same Eniola who called slim people "a bag of bones" during her ++++ days🀣. It used to be a gbas gbos contest between her and her attackers. Teni didn't abuse anybody before she lost weight o and I really do not understand why slim or skinny people can chin up but plus-sized people lose it every time they are paid in their own coin.

Nigerians abuse people for any reason at all, your eyes (Segun Arinze), your b**bs (Cossy Orjiakor), your nose (even Susu wey be fine girl collect), your disability (people still dance to "killin' dem" where Zlatan "mocked" Ayefele and "2:30" by Asake where he also mocked Jigan the actor). What's the hypocrisy for? I have seen really delectable plus-sized and slim people e.g. Biodun Okeowo and Fancy Acholonu. It's a matter of preference for anyone but none is necessarily finer than the other. Finesse is another thing entirely though.

As for the culprit, I wish she didn't have an option of fine and who told her she is finer than Eniola by the way? At least, she wouldn't need to pay rent for 3 years if she's in jail. By the time she is out, the first term of shege banza go don dey round off, so na she go gain pass. If these celebrities or some of our dear BVs see those wey dey abuse dem wey dey make dem vex or cry ehn, dem go laugh tire because dem no reach at allπŸ˜‚πŸ€£. If person give you gbas, you sef give am gbos where e go pain am pass and you go see say peace go dey afterwards. Nobody crase pass; everybody just dey code for peace' sake but anybody wey no appreciate peace, dash am small vawulence abeg😎.

Social media and Internet interactions ain't for the fainthearted. Wear your crocodile skin jacket or don't turn on your data at all.✌. We don't like online cry-babies especially if na dem first find trouble.😏. Stellz, no use my comment chop ogunfe oπŸ™„.
