DIARY OF A PREGNANT MUM
I got to my antenatal class quite late some weeks ago, I was the only pregnant woman there, so I sat beside an old lady . Opposite me was a man who looked like he was in his mid to late forties.
I was busy minding my business and less than five minutes into my stay I noticed the man was shaking badly and muttering to himself. He didn't look sick so I dropped my phone to see what was wrong.

He would stand up suddenly, start to pray and sit back suddenly. He started pacing at a point, the old woman beside me also stopped what she was doing and started praying with him.

She kept on telling him to take it easy. I asked if they were together and she said no, so I joined the old woman praying.
Suddenly we heard the cry of a baby, the man looked at us with so much shock in his eyes and he started weeping. I mean crying like a baby, the old woman rushed to hold him.

It was then he started saying " God has taken away my shame and silenced my enemy ".
Turned out they have been trying to conceive for thirteen years and that was their first child.
We all stood up and turned the hospital lobby to a thanksgiving session. He was asked to come and see his baby while the surgeon were still working on the wife.
The old woman and I waited for the mom and baby to be brought out. Congratulated and prayed with the new parents and left.

Till date anytime I remember the incident I get excited for them over and over again. Also the child was born on my birthday, I pray I run into them during post natal clinic so I can gift the child something.
I am also more excited about meeting my baby and I am no longer dreading the new born phase.

WOW what an awesome testimony...Miracle no dey tire God, just be patient!!!

PIMKYS CORNER

NKAN BE OOOOOO
Hmmm, I don't even know how to explain this I swear. So many things happening in this world. I engaged someone and we started talking. She came to my stand to withdrew and we got along because she was with her friend and they were discussing something about men then I interrupted them.

After the day's work, I got home and sat in front of my house discussing with a friend when the lady passed by, we greeted and she left then my friend asked me how I got to know her. I told him she came to my stand to withdraw ni ooo.

I asked him if he knows her and he said well well.....ha, well well bawo, explain to me(as aproko master wey dey find story to write). Then he began. He said they were staying in the same area and also her mum was his class teacher then.He also said 3years ago(then she was 39), she was to get married to a guy who happens to work at Shevron, the guy rented an apartment for her and bought her a car and everything was going on smoothly.

He said the guy has a pastor in Lagos who is just like a god father to him and the pastor knows the lady as the wife to be but just two weeks or so to the wedding, the pastor called the guy and told him not to go ahead with the wedding because he dreamt and saw both of them in a pool of blood.

He asked him to pend the wedding after Clothes has been sold out and alot of preparation has been put in place. Finally, the guy was pestered by the god father to stop the wedding. The lady was so ashamed and felt like killing herself. Few months later, the lady got an info that the guy was about to be married and guess who he was wedding?, The pastor's younger sister.

She was devasted and went to Lagos just to be sure of what she heard.
She went to Lagos and came back mentally unstable. He said, the lady spent over a year at the hospital and after she was taken care of, she moved out of where she was staying and moved to a far place and since then, she hasn't got anyone dating let alone planning anything that will lead to wedding. I was shocked when he explained this, which means the lady is 42years this year. What a tragedy, how easy will it be for her to forget such event?#
My question is:

*Was it that, the pastor was spiritually led?
*Can she ever put herself together again to open her heart up for love again?
*Does it mean that, when we have a god father, we should always make their day the final?
*What happens to we going to our kneels for prayer?.
I am just confused and keep asking why people tend to be misled by so called men of God using God's name to perform unworthy things.
Hmmmm, I'm not saying the pastor was wrong but how sure or real was the message .

The Pastor was not led, he just wanted the guy to marry his sister...scam!!

La Vie en Rose Oops! Forgive my French but it summarizes my life when it comes to love…I need a man not a demolition man to call my own who can pull up to the bumper…. My heart has been broken too many times because love is the drug for me…..
Maybe I can find love in the Caribbeans; I need to find my Jamaican guy. Wait! Who is John? Let me see his picture…. No!! I have seen that face before… I want a guy who wants a private life and a slave to the rhythm of love…

I play oldies as an OG. All these new songs hardly sound pleasant to my ears. Their lyrics is always weak.
I don't just listen to songs with good beats, I pay more attention to the lyrics once the beats call my attention.

  7. When you listen to the conversation going on in some of our Facebook pages, the thing will shock you..

New mother :: Dear mummies in the lord, please my neighbor said my baby has jaundice.
What should I do, he is refusing Breastmilk too, help a young mummy like me.

Adviser 1: Nne Pawpaw is the answer. Get Pawpaw, squeeze out the juice and give baby, jaundice will clear one time.

New mummy :: Is it the ripe or unripe Pawpaw?

Adviser 1:: Something in between. Make the Pawpaw no too ripe, it must have small green and yellow back.

Adviser 2:: Dear new mummy, add cloves oo, cloves cure everything. From green poo, to watery, jaundice is small compared to what cloves can do.

Adviser 3:: Have you tried scent leaves? Squeeze the juice out and give baby, also rub small on the skin. It clears jaundice, jedijedi and everything baby cam have.

Adviser 4:: Madam sunlight oo. This is what your mother should have taught you. Put the baby under sunlight. Between 10-12 o'clock in the morning when the sun is beginning to enter the brain very well, put baby there. Allow the sun to remove all the jaundice. Before one week, baby will be fine.

Adviser 4:: Please don't forget glucose water. As you're putting the baby outside, mix glucose water, so the baby will have energy to cry when the sun is hitting him.

Adviser 5:: New mummy please add Ampiclox drops. My mother inlaw said Ampiclox drops clears jaundice, make sure it is beecham product. Please add it, the jaundice will clear one time.

Adviser 6:: Madam have you prayed about it? There is nothing we can't achieve with prayers. Go on your knees and pray jaundice out of your baby. If it is to fix lashes now, they will see you. Your baby's body is not a dwelling place for any illness. Pray sisthren, pray. All these new generation mummies sefπŸ™„πŸ™„

I will reply 'leave me abeg, I am enjoying the gist. The doctors without MBBS are still talking, and I don't argue with my senior colleagues'

    1. Please disregard that advice from the pit of hell. Hold on to God and keep praying. He has someone special for you for a husband and you will have your children in your beautiful marriage. Some evil People always giving unsolicited and ungodly advice. The audacity to give useless advice. Let her follow her advise as if it’s by having children, what if you go her way and the children turn out irresponsible and don’t even take care of you but rather lead you to your early grave. Please let’s read our bible, know God and obey God’s commandments always.

    2. So many questions that one cannot answer, same people asking you to adopt will still be the same to shame you. Same asking you to get pregnant will still laugh at when you finally get pregnant.

      Delete
    3. Why does the Christian woman not want ivf or adoption? Let’s start there
      Have children if you want
Forget that taking care of thing
Some children do some don’t. And with everyone japaing for their daily bread, many don’t have their kids saround
I think having kids is good. Just do it for the right reasons.

The Bible says the children of Mormon are smarter than the children of light in this generation
What is wrong with you people and refusing thr help provided here on earth
Having kids is basic biology. Your body produces more quality eggs during a certain time of life. If it meets a sperm it will likely lead to pregnancy. That’s it
Do what you need to cause it to meet a sperm when the eggs are good quality. Have sex do ivf. It’s up to you
There are many good facilities in Nigeria now. If you have the money, go for it
      Adopt if you want
But don’t sit and wait on miracles when you have options
The ivf people are coming to do baby dedication in Gods house every Sunday while you reject Ivf and wait for your own special miracle
Are you the one to tell God how to bless you

I had someone I wanted to marry. We had even chosen wedding date sef. Before you say, "Jack!", young man got married to the younger sister of the wife of his "spiritual mummy". They got married a month before our slated date.
Like, bcos your spiritual parents, asked you to choose between the Igbo girl and their sister, you chose their sister/sister-in-law, cos you wanted them to help you go up the ladder in the ministry.
But, you told your close friends, we were planning our introduction. They were even shocked and doubted you had married but I kept insisting.
Young man pastors a parish of the church you (pinky) and I attend. His parish is even in that Ibadan sef.

Epic advice, I remember Aunty Grace Egbagbe, the NTA marketing manager that time, she was always on front pages of Encomium magazine, Fame and the rest of them in those those days for different reasons. She, Joko Oni, Nike Oshinowo, Shade Okoya (who was a young wife in her early twenties then, Regina Daniels reminds me of her), Daisy Danjuma, etc were the ladies of the season.
Hmmmm, this life. Thank God she survived. Let me go and search for the full story. 🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢

I still find it shocking that Helen and that man were not married, yet she bore his last name? I only see this in city marriages, where a woman will be living with a man, bear kids for him and be bearing his last name without marriage.

  38. Good afternoon SDK and bvss.
Please I can't wait for FAQ. SDK pls post cos it's urgent.
My teenage daughter got addmitted into tertiary so I decided to open a bank account for her on Friday last week. She was asked to come back on monday for bvn which she did. She requested for ATM and they said she should come tomorrow Thursday.
This morning she was telling me that the bank customer care called her last night and requested for her acct number and bvn and she mumuly gave them. They ask for ATM no she said she doesn't have but will collect tomorrow. They now told her to call them when she gets to the bank. She said they even sent some codes and told her to click and she mumuly click. I was so angry with her cos I forewarned her abt all these fraudster.
Now to the question, with all the info they have, can they withdraw money from her account and what's the consequences of the info being with them thief.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They can't withdraw from the account unless they have the ATM card details. You can test them by paying 1000 into the account after she gets the ATM tomorrow, to test them.
Warn her very well not to click on any link or dictate any code or send any code to anyone. She should not give her bank/ATM details to anyone.

She is still a kid, just keep warning her. Also warn her to hide her ATM card well, her roommates or friends or boyfriend can steal her money if they get the card details. If she has bank app on her phone, she should not let anyone know the password, she should not open it in their presence.

    2. God bless you Fresh Petals for responding. She just called me and said they've withdraw the small money she had in the account. She had 5k there and she just saw debit alert of 4k5h. She's crying. I don't know if there's anything we can do to stop them from withdrawing further money. Told her to go to the bank tomorrow.

      Delete
    3. Go to the bank with her, don't allow her to go alone. Explain what happened to customer Care, they know what to do to stop them from withdrawing money from the account. Warn her never to engage anyone who calls claiming to be from the bank or respond to messages asking for unique codes.

That pastor story is not a surprise to me. Some people worships their pastor more than they worship God. Which is quite foolish. Some will even pay those MOG to conduct a special prayer session for them like the pastors don't have their own problems to pray against. These same kind of Christians are the one that challenge God in guise of prayer; "God let my phone ring, if the man Is for me" "Lord give me a sign that you're this or that" if you're not sure of God you're serving, why bother??? How can you trust others to make decisions for you??? Abeeeegi 😏

Pregnant bv, wishing you safe delivery and congratulations to the family.

Y'all enjoy the rest of the day😘

    1. That is the problem with a rich guy or lady. If you are too close to a pastor or Islamic cleric, na problem. They will manipulate your life to their advantage, some even use jazz to do it. If you are single, they will hook you up with either a submissive church sister/brother or their relative that will listen to them and let them extort you.
If you are married, they will enter you and turn you to their ATM. If your partner is proving to be a stumbling block, they either kill him/her or scatter your marriage. See the case of that Delta pastor that scattered a 22yr old marriage.

  51. Pinky this your story is common. That man is a simp. He allowed a mere mortal to twist his life. That lady dodged a bullet cos such men, pastors or whoever the godfather is would be the one controlling his marriage and life in general, the wife would not have a say, she would be frustrated. Pastor can even tell the husband to chase the wife out and divorce her after three kids because "god" showed him that she wants to kill the husband and he will do it. Same thing applies to women who worship pastors.
I'm pained that the lady has not picked up her life. Success is the best revenge. I wish her the best.

  54. Reno Omokri makes case and draws comparison between Northerners and South Westerners

More than one Northerner was publicly accused of result fraud by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, but not even one Northerner has publicly defended those accused from their zone. Neither has any Northern institution, or professional group, come out to take up their cases.

Many natives of the Southwest were also accused of result fraud, and some centres in that geopolitical zone were shut down. Yet nobody from the Southwest defended them. No lawyer from that zone, or NGO has made a fuss about it. Not even the garrulous MURIC.

Cast your mind back to the case of the former supercop Abba Kyari. Northerners did not support him. Yes, they refused to condemn him, which is right. You should never be the one to cast a stone against your brother. But they did not defend or justify what he did. Big difference.

Again, refer to the Hushpupi saga. Yorubas did not defend Ramon Abbas. In fact, unlike Northerners, they were at the forefront of ridiculing him for not being an Omoluabi.

These behaviours say a lot about the North and the Southwest.

The moral of the story is that you are less likely to commit an anti-social act if you know your community will never support it and more likely to do so if you know your community will defend you.

As Chinua Achebe said, "A boy sent by his father to steal does not go stealthily but breaks the door with his feet."

And as Scripture says, "Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people."-Proverbs 14:34.

All you have to do is study the power structure in Nigeria to see that what Scripture said is true.
