I'll never understand why many Nigerians carry the "Pepper Dem" mentality. People going all out to be successful, just to prove a point to perceived haters and enemies. SMH.

DeleteOne of my students got in touch with me two weeks ago that she's being raped by her 31 years old uncle and his friends. This girl is just 13. She said she has been telling her mum about it but she did nothing. I'm just sad because she's pregnant and has syphilis. Her uncle and mum have been handed over to the police for prosecution.

None of the girl's pants could be found because her uncle will always come to the room to pick them. This girl told me many things I can't even say. Her mother is so irresponsible. She is divorced and has a shop where she sells foodstuffs. The girl said "my mum always leaves us in the evenings and returns the following day". The girl and her other siblings have been taken away by their father.

You see, the female was able to gift her family because she has help from the male.
Another blog visitor came here talking about how her sister takes care of her, her parent and the remains siblings thanks to her sister husband who carries the wife's burden together with his own.
When the male wants to try to gifts his parents and extended family the wife will drop complaint of how the extended family is shortening their immediate family's ration. But when these same men gifts her family he is a good husband.
The man's money must be for his wife and kids but the wife's money is for her extended family and siblings.
Let's cut the male some slacks thanks to them the female is able to gifts their extended family. Nothing special about the female children in how they extend helps to their families it is just the traditional roles that makes it easy for them.

Or the ones that the parents separated and shared the kids among relatives or the kids live with them and they are maltreated. Such kids will not be kind to the parents when they make it in life.

The first one, many years back, I was much younger then, she should be like 18-19 years.. so I was asking her if she could sleep out, being that she lives with her parents.. and she replied yes, that all she'll have to do is promise her mom some money when she returns and she'll cover up for her, that she's done it before for few days with her ex and that her mom told her dad she traveled with friends to a mountain for prayers.. that she gave her momsi 20k when she returned. The day she came to see me, she had already promised to buy her mumsi food from Tantaliser when she gets back..
The 2nd one was a graduate but yet to get job, she always complain to me on how her mom loves money.. everytime she visits me, she must get a call from her mother telling her things to get on her way back, I was like where she want make you get the money as you never dey work, she said that what her mom does everytimes she goes out.. so indirectly, her mum is pushing her to hookup or believes she's going to sell her body for cash anytime she leaves home..
Imagine getting married into such family.. imagine having such kind of mother for a wife.. imagine your daughters and son being pushed to the street to hustle for your greedy wife...

DeleteOmmoh eehn, na God go save us from such women. There's nothing as terrible as a bad woman. I'm not excusing some men that are terrible too but you see when a woman is terrible, she has lost it all.
