  1. He Has Presented His Blood!!
    Hebrews 9:24.

    Excerpts!!

"For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us (Hebrews 9:24)."

"So, His sacrifice was in His own blood which He went to heaven to present. His blood was accepted as read in Hebrews 9:12: “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

    Prayer!!

Blessed Lord Jesus, thank you for bearing our sins and washing them away with your blood, once and for all! You paid the  ultimate price for sin, which man had incurred without a means of settlement. Now, I'm washed, sanctified, and justified, free from sin, death, and destruction. Your name be praised and adored forever!

    Further Study:
    Hebrews 9:11-14; John 4:16; Colosians 1:12-14.

  2. As you go to church this morning, endeavor to pray for the judges at the Presidential election tribunal to deliver justice in the ongoing case. All what good spirited Nigerians want is to see that justice not just been served but also to have seen it served in accordance to the laws of the country.

As a nation, we need to get things rightly done if ever at all we desire progress and development.

    Good Morning.

You use either "If at all" or "if ever" we desire progress...
You don't use if ever and at all together.

Have a nice Sunday my friend Teejay.

    7. The verb 'been' is always used with has/have/had, and we use it in the perfect tense. Whereas the verb 'being' is used to refer to actions that are going on in the present or in the continuous tense.
      For example,
'Steve is being nice to the beggar.

      I have been to Paris.

      Culled from Google.

You can read more online, it's very easy to understand. BTW, I'm not the anonymous up there.

    8. @Teejay
If the action has ended, you use "been". If the action is still happening/has not ended, you use "being".
E.g. He has been interrogated by the police.
He is being interrogated as we speak.

The being in this case is different from the "being" which refers to a human being. It's the same spelling but a different meaning (so it depends on the context).

      Delete
    9. "been" is used for past tense
"Being" is used for present continuous tense.

      He has been disturbing you
I have been to the state before
      They have been warned

      They are being interviewed
She is being rude about it

  21. I attended a burial few weeks ago in Enugu state. A friend lost her mother and we went for the burial. During the burial,. So many musicians and dancers where invited. Every inlaw brought their own dancer or entertainer to grace the oceasion. One thing that caught my attention was the masquerades.
They had upto ten categories of masquerades. They were called in I guess according to their powers and influence. My village does not have masquerades so I was afraid when the first masquerade was invited but seeing children were calm, I decided to respect my age. The masquerades will come, entertain people and leave. The MC will introduce another one.
When the second to the last was about to be introduced, the MC warned children, women and faint hearted people to take cover, people were running up and down. Even the masquerades that performed earlier where no where to be found. I ran inside. The masquerade, performed with his group and left. Then the MC introduced the last masquerade for the day. This one is the biggest and most dreaded, he told everyone to leave except if you are a titled person. Even some people who stayed outside when the second to the last was introduced took cover. fear did not allow me peep from the window where I hide myself. I heard songs and dancing steps and was later told dwarfs dance for them.

This whole senerio came playing in my mind last Night. On earth, there are principalities and there are powers. Powers are in levels Jesus is the ultimate power. He is bigger than the biggest masquerades. When he enters a situation, every other power takes cover. Odogwu kariri Odogwu. Chi ka dibia. Ebube. Oke muoo.

    2. Zaram,

Which part of Enugu was that? Yes we have different types of masquerade in Enugu and they all have their unique appearance and functions. It's the culture and tradition of our people though not for Christians.

It's a traditional practice and as a Christian you shouldn't judge or cast aspersion on anyone. Leave judgment for God. The Yoruba people have lots of festivals as well so also are the Arewa, Kanuri, even here in Port Harcourt the Opobo and so on.

You shouldn't be too religious to condemn other people's belief and worship. Isn't tradition also a religion? Is it only Christian religion do we have in Nigeria?

      Allow traditionalist to breathe eeeeh.

The same thing you condemned, the white missionaries took from our ancestral homes as artefact and kept in their museums.

I have seen Rev. Fr danced to Ogene music and also along side with Masquerade. The bottom line is that, don't judge anyone. Even the achikolo dance is also part of the traditions. I guess you like that dance😁😁😁

I don't want to talk about other festivals like new yam festival. Ofala etc.

When my father died, he was a staunch Catholic and a renowned Christian all over Port Harcourt and Enugu state. Guess what? Traditionally, we killed Cow for him ad stipulated by tradition. So we got the traditional title ''Ogbuefi''

In Igbo land, if you haven't killed a cow for a late father, you won't dare eat or partake on anything regarding the one who's doing same for his father. It also has a repercussion as well if you do.

Some of you don't frequent your villages so I guess you don't know all these traditions. So other things I would have also share but let me stop here for now.

  25. Reno Omokri speaks on the high-powered committee set up by the Anambra state government to investigate Mmesoma Ejikeme and what he would have done if he was the governor

Why would the Anambra State Government set up a high-powered committee, filled with Professors and PhDs, to investigate Mmesoma Ejikeme's JAMB result? The result is obviously fake. The owner of the centre where she took the exam (Osita Chidoka), has revealed that it is questionable. The girl (more accurately, WOMAN) herself admitted as much during her Channels TV interview.

JAMB is not cheating Anambra State. They have acquitted themselves excellently in this regard. They came up with documentary proof to show any objective onlooker that this is a case of pure criminality, devoid of ethnic bias. Anambra State is cheating itself by wasting human and material resources on a lie. Henceforth, they should not complain that their federal allocation is not enough. They obviously have money to waste! This is what happens when you make a criminal matter an ethnic issue.

Indigenes of Kaduna, Osun, Lagos and Oyo states were also accused of fraud by JAMB. Those ones went to hide and bury their heads in shame, because they know their ethnic groups and states have little tolerance for their criminality. But Mmesoma was bold because she knew she would get support.

Why not? She has already seen how the owners of structurally defective buildings at Alaba market got support purely based on their ethnicity, despite being warned since 2017. She saw how some Nigerians used their ethnicity to almost paralyse the evacuation efforts of Nigerians in Sudan. So, she had enough examples to make her confident that she could get away with it.

And she is right. Instead of her being shamed by the Anambra State Government, she is being protected. The same Anambra State Government that did not constitute a high-powered panel of inquiry to find out who was behind the killings of @USinNigeria embassy staff in Anambra on May 16, 2023, or to fish out those who killed a pregnant Northern Muslim woman, Harira Jubril, and her four underaged children, were crudely murdered in cold blood on the streets of Anambra State, with her four underage daughters, Fatima 9 years, Khadija 7 years, Hadiza 5 years, and Zaituna 2 years, has now put together a powerful committee to protect refuge golden girl (or woman), Mmesoma!

    #TableShaker

If I was the Governor of Anambra, the first high powered committee I would set up would be a committee of Anambra's brightest and most brilliant minds to look into how to put an end to the menace of IPOB's Monday Sit-at-Home, that is costing my state billions of Naira weekly, as well as the malaise of insecurity caused by unknown gunmen.

But no. Anambra State does not have time for that. Their money and time is better spent constituting a committee of professors to investigate a JAMB result whose fakery you can spot in less than five minutes!

    #TableShaker

    ReplyDelete
  26. Reno Omokri still had this to say about what happened a day ago or so

Today there were gunshots in Onitsha, the commercial capital of Anambra State. IPOB/ESN shut down markets in enforcement of a Friday sit-at-home to protest the continued incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of IPOB. Gunshots rented the air, forcing parents to rush to schools to evacuate their children.

But the Anambra State Government has not reacted. No statement. No statewide broadcast. No update to calm the citizens.

Yet, this is a state that felt a pressing need to set up a high powered committee to investigate Mmesoma Ejikeme's JAMB result and give regular updates on that issue to the media.

Who in his right mind chases a rat when his house is on fire?

    #TableShaker

    Enjoy the long read!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Those who introduced bigotry into the Jamb thing shocked me! They were just propagating the stereotype of being the base of fraudsters as Jamb has smashed several score “upgrade” syndicates in the SE. Makes you wonder. For those that like to argue, in 2019,
“ Another candidate, Kingsley Unekwe, son of a Professor of Medicine in one of the leading Nigerian universities was nabbed by the Board for tampering with his UTME result”…..

“The JAMB Registrar said the suspect named Adah Eche sat the 2019 UTME and scored 153 but decided to engage an examination syndicate to increase his scores. The suspect who doubled as a middleman for the candidates seeking higher scores collected huge sums of money from these candidates for onward transmission to the syndicate. The Board got overwhelming evidence of payments and banking transactions in connection with result upgrades during his interrogation as well as other documents”

“ Also, on July 4 2019 JAMB apprehended one Cletus Kokowa for ‘upgrading’ his Unified Tertiary Matriculation Board (UTME) score from 162 to 206 with the aid of a fraudster. Kokowa with candidate registration number 95329290ED became the second candidate to be apprehended with the aid of an intelligence gathering mechanism deployed by the Board after Adah Eche was apprehended for a similar offence”..,, so is this why some folks were defending fraud like fake meds, fake brake pads, fake and substandard imports?

Why do you go to church?

    Some go for job connection

Others go to hustle for contracts

Another group go because they share money, clothes, foodstuff and other things to them

Some other group go because their social life is non-existent and the church is the only place where they meet people, network, laugh, sing and dance.

The last group go because the Bible said it is a good thing to be in the assembly of the brethren and the also want to worship God and win souls by being in that gathering.

    Which group do you belong?

I go for all the reasons above except the 3rd reason. I don't mock those who collect o, but I don't need such, so I don't go queue for it.

  35. How can a human being be bitter and filled with bile day in day out and extra on a Sunday?

How can a person be breathing deep seethed anger in place of oxygen even when you mind your business they spoil for a fight?

How do you sleep seeing your object of anger flourishing and enjoying life while you grit your teeth and your stomach churn?

At this point, there is no need trying to see the good in everyone because whether we like it or not everyone is good. They may pretend for a while but their true nature will emerge eventually.

The best is to avoid some people abeg abeg and stop trying to make peace with everyone.
