Both Atiku and Obi are challenging the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the February 25 presidential election on various allegations.
A hearing notice issued by the Tribunal and served on Atiku and Obi indicated that the adoption would be held by 9 am.
The hearing notice obtained by DAILY POST also indicated that the same documents have been served on President Tinubu through his lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, while those of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were served on the party through its lead counsel, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN.
Atiku was served through his lead counsel, Chief Chris Uche, SAN, while Obi was served through Livy Uzuoku, SAN.
INEC got its own notice through its counsel, Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud, SAN.
APC’s lead counsel, Fagbemi, confirmed receipt of the hearing notice.
By the practice direction of the court, a date for final judgement would be fixed immediately after the adoption of final addresses.

ReplyDeleteNone of the dreamers claiming that they won have put forward any solution for the expected rise on petroleum product price. All of them campaigned to remove subsidy of petroleum from day one and none of the states or local governments where they are in control has done anything tangible to alleviate this expected hard time. They even fail to realise that the paltry 400-600 billion saved in few months can only pinch at our debt and current budget with nothing left for actual growth.
ReplyDeleteIt is better for Nigerians to individually and communally think of and put together solutions during these challenging times instead of deceiving themselves that Obi won Kano or that Atiku won because rain fell.
If the citizens of Ghana, Sierra Leone, Mali, BF, even Togo and Benin here have been buying at market rate, we had better face reality, adjust our belts and grow from within.
So far, this government has helped to prevent us kicking the pail further down the road and encouraging procrastination that leads to poverty.
Niergains should stop pretending as if diesel was not deregulated about two decades ago. The international price of crude oil and its derivatives changes everyday like the price of gold or value of the S&P500/Nikkei etc. It is always announced on the news after they tell you who is fighting or sleeping with who.
There is every likelihood that the price of crude will continue to rise because of factors like the Russian offensive against Ukraine, OPEC's quotas and demand from countries like China and India. Brace up people.
