  1. Triumphant In Adversities!!
    Romans 8:35-37.

    Excerpts!!

"Sometimes, when people give their hearts to Christ, they assume they aren’t supposed to face adversities or persecutions. But the Bible says count it all joy when you go through diverse tests (James 1:2)."

"Tests, trials and persecution are all part of the package; never be flustered by them, because you’re more than a conqueror. You’re a victor in Christ Jesus."

"Keep living in the victory of Christ. Dominate your world, dominate your environment, and give Satan no chance. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:27 to give no place to the devil."

    Confession!!

I have dominion and authority over principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I dominate my world and frustrate the tokens of the adversary - His stratagems and manoeuvres - by the power of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

    Further Study:
    1 Peter 5:8-9; Ephesians 6:14-18; 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NIV.

  2. WHEN YOU’RE UNDER ATTACK

'The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.' Isaiah 59:19 NKJV

The biggest mistakes often occur in the early stage of a trial because they catch us off guard. Surprise is one of the devil's favourite weapons. Here are four winning strategies to use when you're under attack:

    (1) Don't panic. Live by the Scripture, 'Be still, and know that I am God' (Psalm 46:10 NKJV). That means God is present, fully aware of your situation, and has a solution. Just be sensitive and responsive to the voice of his Spirit within you (see John 16:13). Remember, time is on your side. Patience is a weapon that exposes truth and motive. (2) Analyse it. Solomon said, 'In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider' (Ecclesiastes 7:14 NKJV). What looks like a crisis may be concentrated information, so take time to analyse; you'll benefit from it.

    (3) Seek advice. 'Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety' (Proverbs 11:14 NKJV). Ignorance is your enemy and instruction is your friend. Somebody somewhere knows something you need to know; something that can help you survive and even succeed during this painful chapter in your life. Reach for them. (4) Expect God to move. 'When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him' (Isaiah 59:19 NKJV). Adversity is often the enemy's reaction to your progress. Rejoice; your heavenly Father's eyes are on you today. He is pleased with you, and he is going to bring you through this victoriously.

  3. If any of your friends do bad tin, the best way to correct that person, is by scolding them privately, and not join others in mocking them publicly...
Because at the end of the day, no one is perfect, and loyalty to friendship, means that you are always there for your friends in good and in bad.
Train your heart to publicly celebrate more of people's successes, and less of their failures! That's what good peeps do!

  5. A young man went to seek an important position at a large printing company. He passed the initial interview and was going to meet the director for the final interview. The director saw his resume, it was excellent. And asked, '
    - Have you received a scholarship for school?' The boy replied, " No '.
-' It was your father who paid for your studies? '
    -' Yes.'- He replied.
-' Where does your father work? '
-' My father is a Blacksmith'
The Director asked the young to show him his hands.
The young man showed a pair of hands soft and perfect.
-' Have you ever helped your parents at their job? '
-' Never, my parents always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, he can do the job better than me.
    The director said:
-' I have got a request: When you go home today, go and wash the hands of your father and then come see me tomorrow morning.'

The young felt his chance to get the job was high.
When he returned to his house he asked his father if he would allow him to wash their hands.
His father felt strange, happy, but with mixed feelings and showed their hands to his son. The young washed his hands, little by little. It was the first time that he noticed his father's hands were wrinkled and they had so many scars. Some bruises were so painful that his skin shuddered when he touched them.
This was the first time that the young man recognized what it meant for this pair of hands to work every day to be able to pay for his study. The bruises on the hands were the price that he payed for their education, his school activities and his future.
After cleaning his father's hands the young man stood in silence and began to tidy and clean up the workshop. That night, father and son talked for a long time.

The next morning, the young man went to the office of the director.
The Director noticed the tears in the eyes of the young when He asked him: -' Can you tell me what you did and what you learned yesterday at your house?'
The boy replied: -' I washed my father's hands and when I finished I stayed and cleaned his workshop '
-' Now I know what it is to appreciate and recognize that without my parents , I would not be who I am today . By helping my father I now realize how difficult and hard it is to do something on my own. I have come to appreciate the importance and the value in helping the family.

The director said, "This is what I look for in my people. I want to hire someone who can appreciate the help of others , a person who knows the hardship of others to do things, and a person who does not put money as his only goal in life". ' You are hired '.

A child that has been coddled, Protected and usually given him what he wants, develops a mentality of " I have the right ' and will always put himself first, ignoring the efforts of their parents. If we are this type of protective parent are we really showing love or are we destroying our children?
You can give your child a big house , good food , computer classes , watch on a big screen TV . But when you're washing the floor or painting a wall , please let him experience that too.
After eating have them wash the dishes with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you have no money to hire someone to do this it's because you want to love them the right way . No matter how rich you are, you want them to understand. One day your hair will have gray hair, like the father of this young man.
The most important thing is that your child learns to appreciate the effort and to experience the difficulties and learn the ability to work with others to get things done. "

  14. Reno Omokri knocks you-know-who

Why would you wish what is happening in France on Nigeria? Why? Simply because your candidate was not declared President? This vindicates my earlier statement that some people were preparing for war, not election. The French protest was ignited by the killing of a teenager from an immigrant community. Where was this fellow, who is now calling for a violent uprising, when a pregnant Northerner from Adamawa, Harira Jubril, was killed by unknown gunmen in broad daylight, with her four underaged daughters, Fatima, 9; Khadijah, 7; Hadiza, 5; and Zaituna, 2.

If human life was so important to him, why did he not ask youths to rise and avenge the deaths of Harira and her children in Anambra?

Though I am not happy with the results of the #NigerianElections2023, it would be extremely irresponsible to call for the bringing down of Nigerian cities. Who loses if we bring down Nigeria? If you feel aggrieved by the last election, do your utmost before the Presidential Election Petition Court.

    May God bless Nigeria.

      Here we go...
Wash and cook the Isiewu till tender ( I use ngu/ ngo not potash to cook cos it makes it faster and tender) When it's tender, you can easily debone. When it's done, bring out the brain, set it aside to cool.

Debone the Isiewu, get all the vital parts out (eyes, ears and tongue) cut the rest of the meat into desired size, put in a pot and set aside.

Get your mortar and pestle, pound your Ehuru seeds ( not efu) fresh pepper and utazi leaves ( I pound dried utazi leaves and slice fresh utazi leaves for garnishing). Dried utazi leaves helps in forming the porridge/pottage.

When you are done pounding, add Ngu/Ngo water and start turning with your pestle ( not spoon) add palm oil and keep turning, then add the brain and keep turning till it forms a paste, add little water if it's too thick, salt and Maggi to taste. Add little curry powder ( Mama's little secret) I prefer Ducros... It gives me what I want.

Then, transfer to the pot and mix everything together. Heat it up for 2 to 3 minutes and your Isiewu is ready.

Garnish with fresh green utazi leaves and onions sliccef in ring form.

NOTE; you can also add more water while it's on fire, ie; if you need more porridge/ pottage.

You can use Agidi, white yam or unripe boiled plantain for your Isiewu.

The curry powder is optional but the aroma is something else!

Please make sure you wash the Isiewu very well, cut the ears open while washing, most times, there's worm like something in there ( looks like a bigger maggot)

Between the tongue and jaws are the reminanants of grasses they chew... Please remove all.

Lastly, use knife and scrape the tongue Wella but if you can't, after cooking the Isiewu, it comes off easily as long as it's tender.

Most Restaurant don't wash their Isiewu very well, that's why I can't eat isiewu outside!

      Any other question????

  24. Good morning Stelz, good morning bvs. Something happened yesterday; this life is so fickle! There's this nice lady that has a grocery store,it's our go to spot for most of our groceries when you don't feel like going to the market. Yesterday she slumped and died...right in that shop. We were all shocked to say the least. Me that was planning to go there this morning to buy ice fish for sauce. The news came in like a wild fire,so tragic. We are not promised tomorrow guys, live well, live your best, be selfish enough to take some time off and rest,go for medical checks and most of all pray. In Hausa we say "Ubangiji ya shirya mu, mu rabu da duniya lafiya,Amin." It means may God Almighty prepare us to depart from this world peacefully when the time comes. Rest in peace Madam A.

  41. Hellooo
It's a bright and sunny morning here in Ibadan. I pray it remains like this till evening, let my clothes dry.
So my daughter is graduating from primary to jss 1 this term and they asked us to pay 15k for the party and gifts. After that, I will still buy a blue ball gown for her , which is the uniform for all graduating female students. She doesn't have good party shoes, I will buy that one too.
The way it is now, I have decided to talk to my neighbor that works in one government school here. Let her help us so that she will go to government school for her secondary education.
I attended government school, my parents were not put in any pressure like I'm seeing now. They only paid big money during major exams like WAEC. She will be fine since her foundation is already strong, she was among the top three in all her classes.
