  2. Actuate Your Potentials!!
    Ephesians 2:10.

    Excerpts!!

"Potential is a latent ability, a hidden power that hasn’t been developed. It is that unused ability, hidden away in the inner recesses of your heart, mind, and soul. Potential is what you could be that you aren’t yet, what you could do that you haven’t done, or everything inside you that is yet to be actuated."

"Many have lived and died without actuating their potential or fulfilling God’s dream for them; many have died without becoming what He wanted them to be."

"So, learn about the real you through the Word and stand up to be what the Word has described you to be: one with limitless possibilities and ability to do more and be more."

    Confession!!

Dear Father, thank you for helping me to live to my fullest potential and fulfil my destiny and calling in Christ. I'm running my race swiftly, pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, under the inspiration of your Spirit and guidance of your Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

    Further Study:
    2 Thessalonians 1:11; Colossians 4:17; Philippians 2:12-13.

  13. If I'm a serving House of Assembly member, there are bills I will sponsor or if I am a governor, one among the things I will criminalize are these people that makes a huge lot of noise on the road selling herbal drugs and all that. The noise pollution coming out from those megaphones is so irritating and bad enough the audio recording is on repeat and will play from morning till evening.

You keep on hearing things like ''For painful menstruation, weakness of the penis, candidiasis, syphilis, staphylococcus and wideness of the vaginal.

When you move forward, you hear the ones shouting with megaphone as well, ''brother come buy your Bible. Sister come buy your Bible. See that woman wey wear red dey go so, she never buy her Bible.'' What about the ones selling memory cards and downloading?

Oh menh, this is so irritating and I wish the government would checkmate all these noise pollution. I don't want to talk about the ones that drives from street to street as well. What about the parks using megaphone to shout and announce their route?

I'm not against anyone's hustle but come on! It's very noisy that I often asked how do people who live around those vicinity cope or sleep at noon.

Those of you abroad, are things like this done over there? Do they even do it in the North or it's just a Southern thing.

    1. You forgot those churches and mosques with mega speakers mounted outside, shouting morning and night. Very annoying. Someone should pass a bill to ban them abeg. All those things are not seen in big men's residential estates, so they don't know what we the average Nigerians are going through.

  14. Reno Omokri clarifies on the average tuition fees of Nigeria and other countries

    Please fact check me.

Average tuition fees at Nigerian public universities = ₦50,000 or $65.

Average tuition fees at Ghanaian public universities = GHS17,145 or $1503.

Average tuition fees at British public universities = £9,250 or $11,900.

Average tuition fees at European public universities = €10,000 or $11,128.

Average tuition fees at American public universities = $10,400.

Yet, you are here saying 'Nigeria is finished', 'Nigeria is useless' because of an increase of tuition fees from ₦19,000 to ₦190,250 at one university?

Ghana has a minimum wage of GHS446, or $40 per month. Yet, Ghanaians pay twenty five times what we pay in tuition. Do Ghanaians earn twenty five times what Nigerians earn in minimum wage? Is fuel cheaper in Ghana than in Nigeria? I was in Ghana two months ago. Believe me when I say that you would fare better economically in Nigeria than in Ghana. Is Nigeria as wealthy as the UK, US, and the EU? Nigeria is not such a bad country. If you think the cost of education is too high, then try the cost of illiteracy!

  18. TODAY IN HISTORY

1567 Mary, Queen of Scots, was formally deposed after rebellious Scottish nobles deserted her army at Carberry Hill and forced her to abdicate in favour of her one-year-old son, James.

1847 Brigham Young and his fellow Mormons arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah.

1897 Amelia Earhart, one of the world's most-celebrated aviators and the first woman to fly alone across the Atlantic Ocean, was born in Atchison, Kansas.

1911 Led by a local resident, Hiram Bingham reached Machu Picchu in a remote part of the Peruvian Andes.

1915 In one of the worst maritime disasters in American history, the passenger liner SS Eastland capsized in the Chicago River, killing more than 840 people, in Chicago.

1917 Dutch-born dancer and courtesan Mata Hari, whose name became a synonym for the seductive female spy, went on trial this day in 1917, accused of spying for Germany, and was subsequently found guilty and shot by a firing squad.

1959 Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev and U.S. Vice President Richard M. Nixon engaged in the “kitchen debate” at an American exhibition in Moscow.

1969 American actress and singer Jennifer Lopez—who was one of the highest-paid Latina actresses in the history of Hollywood and later found crossover success in the music industry with a series of pop albums—was born.

1974 The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that President Richard M. Nixon had to provide transcripts of Watergate tapes to special prosecutor Leon Jaworski.

  19. Reno Omokri speaks up the more on incessant complaints by Nigerians and what they should do instead

Nigerians are complaining about the increase in Unilag's tuition fees from ₦19,000 to ₦190,250. Many of those people complaining use phones that cost more than ₦190,250. How much is an iPhone 14? About ₦1.2 million. How much is a Samsung Galaxy? About ₦300,000. How can an iPhone and a Samsung cost more than your tuition, and you are complaining? Where will the money to pay lecturers come from? In that same Unilag, many students drive more luxurious cars and use better phones than their lecturers. Am I lying?

In Nigeria, we are just too used to freebies and cheap things from our government. We have one of the lowest tuition fees on planet Earth, if not the lowest, yet, our doctors and nurses are some of the most sought after on Earth.

We can celebrate our birthdays with ₦250,000. We can flex at Obi Cubana's club with ₦500,000 (you want to pretend that you don't see the receipts flaunted on social media?) Yet, ₦190,250 tuition for one of the best public universities in Nigeria means 'Nigeria is finished!'

At least there is a student loan provision being made for those who can't afford the tuition.

If you think university tuition is too costly in Nigeria, simply go to neighbouring Benin Republic, or Ghana. Nobody will tell you before you run back to Nigeria!

  32. DONT BE ENTITLED!

'By love serve one another.' Galatians 5:13 KJV

What gives us an attitude of entitlement? It's found in the middle of the word entitlement itself: 'title'. We assume people owe us because of the title we hold in their lives: wife, husband, mother, brother, daughter, friend, pastor, donor, employee, boss, etc. We think of our title as a title deed that gives us the right to whatever advantage we expect.

If you have an attitude of entitlement, here are strategies to help you overcome it: (1) Understand the difference between your 'rights' and your 'desires'. You have the right to expect your husband or wife to be faithful to you, but you don't have the right to expect them to wait on you hand and foot. 'For God so loved...that he gave' (John 3:16 NKJV). True love is marked by giving, not taking. (2) Live by the Golden Rule (see Matthew 7:12). Jesus said that whatever you want others to do for you, take the initiative and begin doing it for them. You say, 'But what if they don't return the favour?' God will reward you anyway! 'He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do' (Hebrews 6:10 NLT). (3) Never assume that a person's past kindness creates an ongoing obligation to you. God may use others to bless you, but he alone must always be the source you trust to meet your needs (see James 1:17).

Paul said, 'Through love serve one another' (Galatians 5:13 NKJV). Have an attitude of discipleship, not entitlement.
