  2. Who told you they lived happily? Go and ask plenty senior citizens to tell you the stories and drama from the polygamous families they came from. Even the junior citizens have a lot to say. Make una dey play........... Building castles in the air.............

  3. Men, always oblivious. Did the women tell them they were really happy? With all the rancour and jealousy between competing females and their kids?

Men know the women were not happy. The thing is ‘men don’t care’. Never have, never will. All they need is the ability to ensure they can walk away from any strife or noise.

Before, they had large compounds; now everyone fits in smaller abodes. Things are also more expensive. So only the truly rich men can run that model and be at peace, while the women fight it out.

    1. The thing is the women had no choice than to manage anything they see there. Divorcees were shunned and labelled "stubborn", "promiscuous", "can't stay under a man". In the present day, being a divorcee isn't that bad if you respect and behave yourself, women are now bold to walk away from marriages that don't favour them.

    2. The way we generalize "men is really disturbing. Jesus Christ and his numerous disciples and apostles, together with the first century Christians were men. They were neither polygamists nor did they mistreat women. There are still millions of men today who respect women and uphold God's standards.

  5. Their wives suffered a lot.
    The kids suffered too.
The man dominated them, those days women had no one standing up for them.
Polygamy in those days is almost same in these days.
    Let's not sugar-coated it abeg

  6. There has never been a time women enjoyed polygamy. The women and children involved had so much emotional bottled up scares.
Majority of them were forced into polygamy by their parents due to poverty.
