Lady Found Lifeless In Hotel Room Hours After Check In With Alleged Yahoo Guy..

Why does this keep happening?

A lady was found dead in a room at Eagle Rock Garden and Suite, Yale Okeowo Street in Ago Palace, Lagos.
The lady had lodged in the hotel in company with a man suspected to be an advance fee fraudster (yahoo boy) last Wednesday night ,but was found dead early Thursday morning.

The suspect , who claimed to be Kelvin as indicated in the receipt provided by the hotel management ,took off after commiting the dastardly act.
A staff of the hospitality home, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the lifeless body of the young lady was found Thursday morning, “a young man came in company with a lady in her late 20s around 11 pm,on Wednesday. He made a transfer payment of N9,000 for the lodging and entered the room with her. Shortly after, he came downstairs, inquiring about the closing time of the hotel gate as he planned to visit a club.

“He assured us that he would return soon because his girlfriend was still inside the room. The following morning, despite numerous attempts to gain access the room by knocking on the door, were futile as there was no response.
“Peering through the window, we were alarmed to see a leg on the floor. We immediately alerted the manager, who subsequently contacted the Ago Palace Police Division .When we opened the door,we saw the lifeles naked body of the lady lying on the floor.”
Lagos State Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said , the police were investigating the death,””I am aware of the incident, and an investigation is currently underway. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.”

  1. Another day, another murder.

But with all these happening around why won't the receptionist be at alert when the guy left alone for the club? He/she should have insisted to see the lady before the guy left🤷🏾‍♀️

    1. This is exactly what I thought of. These hotels should have known better with all these happenings every now and then. I pray the police is able to fish out the suspect.

    3. Have you guys lodged in nice and big hotels where hundreds of people go in and out everyday?they don’t really keep track of who goes in and out and that’s the norm so I don’t blame the receptionist at all.May God help us

    4. Don't mind them. Though this one sounds more like a guesthouse. But this case should be easy since he paid for the hotel room via transfer. They should be able to get his details from thatbsingular act of his.

  2. One of my classmates asked me to find time to come visit him in the hotel that he currently stays because of politics. If they stay in their house enemies may lay a siege against them. I know he is not lying about not staying at home. I understand the nature of their job, but the last thing I will do is to visit someone in a hotel. I never visit you for house na hotel I go come visit you, I dey craze? If you like promise me heaven on earth I can't try it.

    1. You can actually visit your friend in the hotel.standard hotels have waiting areas or pool side you can discuss whatever there.

    2. Visiting someone in a hotel and visiting them in a hotel room are two very different things. I just visited my cousin at the hotel he was staying, I had to bring him something. I stayed in the lobby area and chatted with him. Even the lobbies have washrooms. And most big hotels have onsite restaurants, spa, business center, meeting rooms…etc There is a whole lot to do in big hotels, I have attended conventions, conferences and galas in them. There is legitimate business to do in hotels that will never require you to enter a hotel room.

Now, if it is a small hotel with no amenities that rent rooms by the hour too, I like would not enter because such places have a different reputation and being seen there would raise some questions.

  3. That hotel management is zero and should be dealt with. Why would they have allowed one partner walked away from the hotel without checking up on the person he came with? This is absolutely rubbish from the hotel management. I bet, they don't even have CCTV in their facility else they would have mentioned it.

So unfortunate the young lady lost her life over what she felt was a good time to her. I feel so bad reading a thing like this now. If you can't help anyone, at least let them be. Never take their very breath away from them.

    1. CCTV was all that came to my mind when I was reading it. A hotel without CCTV? WTH? The hallway should have, the reception too, those are two important places that should have that.
I also wonder when girls will ever learn!

  4. But hotels now always call to confirm your safety from the reception before allowing the other person leave..

This one go guest house sha, from the 9k fee, I no sure if them standard at all, them no go get intercom.. but at least them for go knock the door to confirm..

As for the guy and babe, I no dey put mouth for ahewo and Yahoo boy matter.. dem be one family bind by greed ✌️

  5. I went to visit a friend who came from abroad few months ago in a hotel. When I was leaving. The hotel receiptionist insist I call the person I came to visit to ensure he is ok. I called the guy, they asked him to call then with his intercom which he did. They apologized for wasting my time but said it's their routine because of the unbelievable things happening these days. We laughed over it. People should be alert

  9. Since he made a transfer, tracking him won't be so difficult.

May the soul of the lady rest well.

  10. It is unfortunate. Let investigation start from the transfer

  11. So sad 😭What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and then loses his soul.
The devil gives with the left and collect more from you with the right.pathetic!!

  12. As sad as this is, it might not be ritual related, it could be a case of drugs. Until the report of an autopsy is revealed we cannot lay claim to ritual.. But it is possibility since the said was referred to as a "yahoo guy"

I remember the last time I and my husband spent a weekend at an hotel in Ikeja, for every time either of us left the room alone to go aside, there was an intercom call to verify the safety of the other person in the room before either was allowed to leave the reception. Not minding the fact that we checked in as a couple, with our ID'S.

  13. Sad! Let the police work with the transfer he made and he will surely be fished out. But ladies make una dey hear word bikonu!!
