The issue started when singer Adekunle Gold posted a tweet about his new album, and a fan suggested that he should have featured his colleague Brymo in the album.
Brymo responded to the fan's tweet that Adekunle had reached out years ago but he turned it down. He also said that Simi reached out to him too, but he gave her a condition that they would be intimate before the collaboration. He said, "Though AG reached out later, I like to think that he didn't check in again, by will or fate because I turned down same request many years before. I also did same with Simi. Said I wanted to be intimate, to create intensity. Didn't know they were together of course."
He shared another tweet saying, "There's a part of me that wants to feel remorse for my requirement for a collaboration with the talented Simi. Yet, I am reminded that I was indeed, and honestly seeking to experience the outcome of making music with a female act I was bedding. I proposed same to Efya too then."
He also posted a voice note saying, "Of course, I had to let go of the desperation. I did not intend at any point in time to demand s#x for collaboration. No. I want an experience that involves s#x with my female collaborator.
I am not sure how I feel about it anymore because it sounds different when reported to someone else. For the sake of clarity, I promise I was seeking the experience. To date, I have still never slept with any female I collaborated with. I let it go."
Adekunle Gold replied him saying, " Do not disrespect my wife and family. Get help!"
*Adekunle should cool down, I dont see this as Disrespect, rather it shows Simi is not a loose woman like the others
